    Sausage gravy

A hidden gem. The best breakfast we've ever had. The sausage gravy was amazing. Service was fantastic and prices remind me of 2010. I wish this place was in my neighborhood.

    Cold and old eggs

This place is not what people say it is. I don't recommend people coming on the weekend. All of our food was cold when we got it, acted confused when we walked into the place, barely checking on people, luckily they had the decency to comp our meal. Photo of the type of eggs we got right when they came to our table, why do they look so cold and old! Would give half a star if I could.

Good breakfast spot. Simple items that were all pretty decent. Nothing fancy. Super reasonable/cheap prices. Fast service. Great coffee.

They've reopened and are better than ever! A lovely remodel after a car crash had damaged the side of the business.

Great place to eat. Service is fabulous and food is too. Id recommend this diner if you want delicious food and a great value!

Food was delish and service was stellar. You should definitely stop by and give this place a try.

Went here twice while visiting my mother. Place was small but service was terrific and the coffee was fantastic! Prices were very reasonable. Food was pretty good. Had the blueberry pancakes one day, very good.. very fluffy. Had biscuits and gravy the other day.. would not recommend. Again, the coffee is fantastic.. the grind their own beans.. and I am Particular about my coffee. I would definitely recommend this place!

Cozy place to have breakfast. The design is rustic which is usually typical of the countryside. Friendly staff, great food. I still thinking about the mashed potatoes. Still can't figure how something simple as that could be sooo good.

Very friendly staff. Great food, love the family atmosphere. We had a young man , Trace, help our waitress. He was so friendly and got our drink orders correctly and quickly. I would highly recommend this local business. #supportsmallbusinesses

Support local very good food and coffee with a ice cream shop. I'm a local who comes here 4 times a week for years.I order bacon, eggs, wheat toast, and home fries with coffee...Its comes to about 7 bucks for a huge portion of food.Just give these local people patronage over the chain restaurants

    Loved this cute, little diner!

Do not care for the salty Reuben and subpar Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Perhaps I will give their breakfast menus a try at a later date.

I rarely leave reviews, but what happened at Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio, on July 15, 2026,…read morewas so deceptive that I feel obligated to warn other parents. First, let me be clear: my children and my brother's children--seven children altogether--and I had an amazing time. The water park, accommodations, food, and attractions were fantastic. This review is not about the quality of the resort. It is about what I believe is a deceptive practice that targets families. I booked a one-night, two-day stay with early check-in, late check-out, and purchased the Ultimate Package. When we entered our room, there were numerous snacks and treats displayed alongside the items included with the Ultimate Package. To a parent walking into a room with excited children, everything appeared to be part of the package or a complimentary welcome gift. Only after we had already enjoyed our stay did I receive an email informing me that I had been charged $303.18 for those snacks. I immediately went to the front desk while I was still at the resort and spoke with a manager. His response was, "I understand, but I can only cut the bill in half." That response completely missed the point. The issue is not whether I should pay $303 or $150. The issue is that the snacks were presented in a way that reasonably led guests to believe they were included or complimentary. The manager claimed there was a note somewhere indicating the snacks were not included. If there was, it certainly was not obvious enough to prevent this misunderstanding. If you are going to charge hundreds of dollars for snacks, every single item should have a clear, unmistakable label stating that it is NOT INCLUDED and that consuming it will result in additional charges. Hiding a small disclaimer while placing the snacks next to the package items is misleading. As parents, we save for months to give our children a memorable vacation. We budget carefully for the room, the attraction passes, the meals, and the extras we intentionally choose. What we should not have to budget for is a surprise $303 snack bill because children naturally assumed the snacks left in the room were part of what had already been purchased. Frankly, I don't care if Kalahari refunds every dollar. My purpose in writing this review is to pressure Kalahari's management to stop this practice. If enough parents speak up, perhaps they will redesign how these items are presented instead of relying on confusion to generate additional revenue. To every parent considering a stay at Kalahari Sandusky: be extremely careful. Before your children touch anything left in the room, ask exactly what is included and what is not. Better yet, tell your children not to eat anything that has been placed in the room until you have verified that it is free. Kalahari has built a wonderful destination for families. It should be known for creating lasting memories--not for leaving parents with unexpected charges that sour an otherwise wonderful vacation. Until this practice changes, I cannot recommend Kalahari to other families without this warning.

For all first-timers, apparently you can choose between indoor or outdoor adventure passes. Though we chose outdoor, the resort mistakenly gave us indoor. We missed out on our intended package, but when the resort was made aware, upper management became proactive in offering a solution. We appreciate that the staff cared enough to listen and understand our frustrations. We now know that this is a resort that aims to please and because of that we will return and continue to patronize Kalahari in the future. We look forward to a lasting relationship, thank you!

We arrived at ABE around 1:15 pm, finding the restaurant fairly empty with only one other table being served. Despite this, we waited over 10 minutes to be greeted & seated. Once the large tabletop for 7 was cleaned we ordered drinks and beignets, expecting they would arrive before our main dishes, but they came midway through. They were worth the wait. Our server, Christina, was delightful and ensured we had everything we needed, but there was a sense of urgency to finish our meal as the restaurant was closing at 2 pm. We ended up leaving around 2:20 pm, about 20 minutes past closing time. The food was enjoyable, the restaurant & bathrooms were clean, and both the host and servers were friendly. I would recommend arriving at least an hour before closing time to fully enjoy your meal. We had 3 orders of shrimp & grits, 1 order of buttermilk pancakes with sausage and cheese eggs & 3 orders from the kids menu.
