Every time we go to H Mart, we always eat at beseto- it feels like our happy place! We always stop by the authentic Korean stall -- never disappoint My husband's favorite is the spicy goat stew, and this time, instead of my usual bibimbap, I got the seafood pancake. The food here tastes just like a home-cooked meal -- comforting, flavorful, and consistently delicious every single time.
TLDR: BeSeTo in Catonsville is a beautifully renovated Asian food court offering generous portions, excellent Korean comfort dishes, and a fun dose of Korean culture through its downstairs shopping area. A must visit if you enjoy authentic Korean food and variety. BeSeTo Food Court in Catonsville has become one of my favorite local spots. Located right next to H Mart on Rolling Road, BeSeTo (short for Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo) occupies the space that used to be the longtime Hanori food court where I had been going for nearly 15 years. The renovation here is massive in the best way. The entire space feels brighter and more modern and the mix of vendors has improved dramatically. The food court is now located upstairs and features five total vendors offering a wide mix of Asian comfort foods. Over the course of a dozen visits I have tried all of them and everything has been fantastic as well as fairly priced. Some of the absolute must tries are the kalguksu with its rich handmade noodles, the sundae which is incredibly hard to find locally, the jajangmyeon and jjambbong duo for when you want to go classic Korean Chinese, and the jokbol when it is available. Portions here are extremely generous, many large enough to share, so it is well worth coming with friends or family. Ordering is very simple. Each vendor has a numbered menu and you can order easily in English if you do not speak Korean. Food comes out fast and always piping hot which makes it a perfect spot for a quick lunch or casual dinner. Downstairs you will find the shopping vendors specializing in Korean home goods. They carry everything from cookware and tabletop items to traditional style furniture and even herbal supplements. Browsing through the aisles genuinely reminded me of the household stores I visited in Seoul and it adds a cultural bonus to the overall experience. Overall, BeSeTo is a gem in Catonsville and a must visit for anyone who loves Korean food or wants to explore a slice of Korean culture. Generous portions, great pricing, and a refreshed space make this an a homerun pick.
Beseto is one of my tried and true go-to spots for Korean food! There are many food stalls inside that serve a variety of dishes such as the classic black bean noodles, jjamppong, fried mandu, and so much more. It's a great spot where you can try many Korean dishes with quick service as well as enjoy a lively family atmosphere! My only critique is that there was one food stall towards the entrance (I cannot remember the name) that was a bit inconsistent. I ordered a creamy rosé tteokbokki and one regular spicy tteokbokki. However, the rosé tteokbokki tasted exactly the same as the regular.. I believe it was missing a key ingredient to make the sauce more creamy. Other than that, the food still tasted great and I would recommend going to try the different food stalls!
I found out about this place two years ago but just ate here today. I ordered from the first korean food stall and got dumpling ramen soup. It was delicious and what i needed for today. It was just the right amount of spice. They also gave me pickled radish on the side. The menu is extensive and I will like to try other items later on. They have tables in front of the counter so I found a seat and they gave me my soup when it was ready.
BeSeTo is located inside a building that has multiple food shops inside. Jjajangmyeon and Tangsooyuk Combo 7/10 - the tangsooyuk was crispy and light! One of the best I've had - the jjajangmyeon was a bit bland in my opinion which was a bit disappointing Overall, I enjoyed the combo meal, but would def try another option over the jjajangmyeon.
**large portions, great value and selection! I love this place! It's right next to HMart. I will be honest--when I first tried this place last year, I was not too impressed. But my partner likes it so I kept trying. And now I am sold! There is a huge variety of classic and fusion Korean dishes here. It's a food court so there are a few different stands. I personally love the stand that sells bibimbap in the stone pot. Oh man is it good! I love to let the rice crisp up on the pot before I start eating. I also like getting jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk (which are both Korean/Chinese fusion dishes). One of the stands sells it as a duo and the portion is MASSIVE. But be aware that to get a takeout box, it is $1 per box. Not a huge deal for me because I usually finish the food ;) Since it's a food court, I advise you to have realistic expectations about the service. The prices are low and it's very casual, so do not expect amazing service. For me, as long as I get my food here, I am not complaining!
Love stopping here whenever I pass by. It's a small food court, but it offers a great variety of Korean food. Honestly, it's hard to pick a favorite because everything I've tried has been so good. Definitely a go-to spot when you're craving Korean flavors!
Tons of free parking and accepts cash and credit card. If you love tons of food options, this is a place to go. They serve tons of food options from street foods, Chinese food and Korean food. They are separated into 3 categories. The tough part is choosing what foods to order. I highly recommend trying the spicy pork at the Korean location. Also, their spicy tofu soup, fried dumplings. Food taste fresh and make sure to clean after yourself once you finish. There is tons of tables here so you don't have to worry about sitting. There is also a Korean shop downstairs.
I love this place sooo much! The food is great and the prices are even better. I love the aunties working here, all the food is so authentic and comes out hot.
The Jjajangmyeon and Jjamppong are so good. They make their own noodles. Portions are generous too.
We had a large group coming from the end of a weekend retreat, and when we were looking up for places to go to for lunch, we thought Beseto was the best option to fit all of us. Even at around 2 PM on a Sunday afternoon, Beseto was still very busy. With multiple Korean food vendors, you can basically get any Korean staple you're craving, from donkatsu, all types of jjigaes and tangs, noodles, hot pots, bibimbaps, Korean-Chinese options, and more! I was craving sundae, so I ordered the following two sundae options: 35 SOON DAE (KOREAN SAUSAGE) - 14.95 For the price, I got plenty of soondae (three long links, cut up very nicely and topped with some spring onions) with a dipping sauce and seasoning. The soondae was pretty good and satisfied my cravings, but nothing extraordinary. It went nicely with the salt/seasoning. I had so much leftover to take home for another meal. 24 SOON DAE GUK (TRADITIONAL KOREAN SAUSAGE SOUP) - 13.95 The soondae guk was pretty sizable and comes with a bowl of white rice and a small amount of kimchi on the side. The kimchi was at the perfect fermented state and was a good mix of savory and sour. I enjoyed it. The soondae guk was just OK. The broth was flavorful but way too salty. There was a good amount of meat/intestine along with a few pieces of soondae and lots of chives and greens. Personally, I wouldn't get this soondae guk here again. I tried my friend's pork tangsuyuk and the breading here is quite thick. The pork I tried had a good amount of meat and fat, making it a very juicy bite. I wasn't the biggest fan of the sweet and sour sauce, and found that it lacked the "oomph" I was looking for. Note: If you need any to-go boxes, they charge 50 cents for each box/container. And their credit card minimum is 7.00.
Came here maybe a month ago and I was overwhelmed with ordering food and underwhelmed once I received our meals. We were heat immediately by the heat in there it was hot af, I thought we were going to sit down and eat together but with that heat we had to leave once we ordered. Customer service was just ok. And I say that because I ordered bibimap and wanted the egg fried hard since I don't like runny egg and she stated that couldn't. Didn't ask if it could be done, she simply said no. I ordered it anyway thinking maybe my tastes buds changed and yeah no I still don't like it. The beef was seasoned to perfection, kimchi was ok and the veggies were bland. My son had the pork fried rice and I thought that was pretty good not so good that I would drive back there specifically for that. Now what I will drive back there for is the BUNGEOPPANG with the custard and red bean. That dessert was a 10/10! The store area in the basement was cute, but the sales associates seemed annoyed we were there didn't speak nor asked if we needed help. But I will say they watched us like hawks to see if we were trying to steal. Food was 2/5 Dessert 5/5 Environment 1/5
If you're craving specifically Korean, Korean-Chinese or Japanese dishes, Beseto has it all! They offer three various restaurants including some side shops serving dessert and sushi that will fulfill any craving you have. The best part is that they also offer some old school dishes that may be harder to find elsewhere. Beseto also has a shop downstairs that sells various Asian based cooking, household and beauty supplies.

This review it's about the marketplace, That's downstairs of be se to. After a delicious Korean meal upstairs at be se to, we always love to go downstairs to check out some of the new imported items from Korea. Don't expect much of service from this area, since as many self served. For this month, they have added a lot more stuffed animals, Miniature cute bags, new flip-flops, lucky bamboo, and other items for the lunar new year. Definitely go check it out if you are looking for gift ideas for Chinese new year or Valentine's Day. read more
Authentic Asian food. Beseto stands for Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo. And there are still 3 restaurants open (although Sushi place wasn't serving when I was there). Noodles were great. Sauce was ok and barely any pork or tofu in the bowl. I got the small bowl, which is very large and a good meal. Enjoyable because of the shopping experience downstairs where ginger, mushroom and other Eli it's are sold As well as dishes and other household items. Great place for a break from work. read more

Located next to an hmart, coming here for food after grocery shopping is an obligatory event anytime i drive out here. deriving it's name from beijing, seoul, and tokyo, this mini food court consists of korean chinese, korean, and korean japanese fusion food. each of the vendors are little mom and pop shops, having a bustling busy atmosphere consisting of asian languages chattering about. the service is subsequently self serve esque, and this is nothing to write home about. however, the portion sizes for this place are gigantic and well worth the price! i've been here multiple times, trying each of the stalls, and they're all amazingly consistent with their value and quality. this time i got the tonkatsu with curry and it came out crispy, hot, savory, and slightly sweet! would recommend this, the tangsooyuk with black bean noodles or seafood noodles, and any of the soups on a cold winter day. read more

If you are in the area, 100% stop in! So many options to chose from so there is def something for everyone. Lots of seats, food comes out quick and super hot! There is even a little desserts place inside to stop at after! read more
Beseto is short for Beijing * Seoul * Tokyo but Seoul definitely has the strongest presence here, with many of the stalls serving a variety of delicious Korean food. I chose to try the tempura udon, as well as a Mexican sushi roll from the sushi place. The sushi was delicious, and came out quite quickly. The tempura udon was very delicious, though it took a long time for it to be ready. It comes with a side of Korean, pickled radish. My friend got the jjajangmyeon and sweet-and-sour fried chicken, which was also absolutely delicious. The place isn't exactly aesthetic, and definitely has that Asian cafeteria vibe, but the food is delicious and hits the spot. read more
Convenient location next to Hmart and above an asian home goods store. With lots of seating and dishes (chinese japanese, korean, and fusions), it's perfect for large groups. You order from seperate stands and there are no waiters. There's extra bowls, scissors, and water next to one stand as well. The workers aren't the friendliest, very blunt and I don't care attitude. Make sure you don't accidentally return a spoon to the wrong stand! Service is quick though, and even on a weekday it was bustling! For 4 people, we ordered everything as gotbeggi (xL) The jjampong is fantastic for ~$12, with a good amount of seafood and spice. The noodle texture is perfect as well. The seafood kkalguksu (~$19) was delicious and the flavor had so much depth. It reminded me of this place in Korea! BUT for almost 20$ and compared to other dishes, the price is too high. More seafood could have been given as well... The pork tangsuyuk (~$24) is crispy and not fatty- my favorite in the area. I did realize that the prices did increase a lot, and the portions also got smaller. Still, this place is best in comparison to other asian restaurants nearby to get my jjamjamyun fix. read more
This korean fusion cafeteria has everything you could possibly want, especially when you are indecisive and have many friends would want a variety of things. It's very comfortable, and everything is very affordable. Everything is self serve here, which can be convenient when you want to make minimal social interaction. The only downside to this place is that to-go boxes cost money, so it's hard to take unfinished food with you. read more

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem while visiting the area. I loved it so much that I returned 3 times. The food tasted like home cooked meals and service was quick. I wished we have a good court like it back home. Highly recommend it. read more

Be-Se-To stands for "Beijing-Seoul-Tokyo". The place does host one Chinese, one Korea and one Japanese front, although the menu for the Chinese stand doesn't look very appetizing. Despite COVID, only two staff members were observed wearing masks and gloves. The other 3-4 did not take such precaution. In particular, the cashier (who also looked like the owner) of the Korean stand shouted everyone's name without wearing a mask when food was served. If you were extremely concerned about the pandemic, this might be an issue for you. Ordered one Kalbi dolsot (Korean style vegetable rice with beef ribs) and one Korean fried dumplings. Both tasted standard. Price was quite cheap for the ratio. read more

I was craving Kimbap soooo I hopped on over to the Asian Food Court.. There are several stalls within the food court.. Today, I choose to eat at the 'Chinese Restaurant' (2nd on the left when you come in).. I went in a totally different direction when I saw the menu.. I ordered a no#5 Noodle served with Seafood & Egg Drop Soup.. Once you order, listen carefully for them to call your order or just donlike me and stare until they make eye contact. Let's get to this food... AMAZING!! HUGE portion.. packed with flavor and FRESH..FRESH..FRESH.. It was absolutely delicious.. The broth was creamy & lite, while the seafood was super fresh. I went around 5ish, so it got a little busy, but I was okkkkkk with that.. Ur food is served on a tray, and anything extra u need is self-service.. Very clean environment.. a bit nosey, but I appreciated that.. felt like I wasn't eating alone.. FYI... It's a whole market downstairs!!! read more

I've been to Beseto countless of times and I've never been treated so disrespectfully until now. I tried soondubu, galbi tang, and galbi bibimbap from the korean side of the food court. When I was trying to pay in cash, the ajumma working in the front told me to hurry up and didn't even give me a chance to count the money and proceeded to snatch it from my hand. This was my first time trying from the Korean side and that explains why the line is always short there. That being said, I've always loved the jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk from the "Chinese" side of the food court and will still go there for it. read more
Beseto Asian Food Court is a food court with several different restaurants/stands: Sushi Corner, Il Shik (Japanese dishes like udon, tempura, katsu), Joong Shik (Korean-style Chinese, with dishes like Jjajangmyun and Tangsooyook), and Old Country Home (lots of Korean dishes on a large menu). I went a few weeks ago with my husband and in laws, and we tried quite a few dishes. We didn't love their jjanjangmyun, but we really enjoyed the other dishes we tried: Kotgae Tang (spicy blue crab soup), Haemol Dolsot (hot rice bowl with seafood and vegetables), Kimchi Pajeon (kimchi pancake), and Go Deunguh + Deunjang (mackerel and stew). It's a popular food court, and it was busy when we stopped by! There are so many dishes to choose from! It was such a fun meal! I'll definitely be back! read more

Amazing authentic Korean food with large portions for inexpensive prices! As a Korean-American, I'm always looking for authentic food that reminds me of my grandparent's cooking, and this place exceeds all expectations. This unassuming food court has Korean, Korean-Chinese and Korean-Japanese style food, but the Korean stall, Old Country Home, was the busiest and most popular, for good reason. The galbi (short rib) was tender and flavorful, and my favorite dish we tried. The soondubu (tofu stew) had a rich slightly spicy soup base. The haemol pajeon (seafood pancake) was light and crispy, but could have been more salted; it tasted a little bland without the dipping sauce. I really enjoyed the seafood jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) from the Chinese-Korean stall. The portion was absolutely massive, and the noodles are wonderfully chewy with an addicting savory black sauce. Don't forget to try the walnut cakes at the dessert place by the door! The little 'walnut' halves sandwich a bit of red bean paste and made for the perfect sweet treat as we headed out. read more

First time here and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Food: At first I thought everything is writing in non- English. So, I won't know what to order. However, the description of the dish is in English. Plus every dish has a number so you order by the number. Ordered the cuttlefish fish platter. On the photo it looks like a small dish which may not be enough for one person. Because it shows two pieces of the fried fish, miso soup and kimchi. However, the portion is more than enough for one person since it comes with a bowl of rice and the pieces of the fishes are bigger than what you see in the photo. Also, if you Google "cuttlefish ", you will see that it looks like squids. However, this cuttlefish is not a squid. Either Korean and American cuttlefish are different or they have named the fish incorrectly Ambience: It's spacious. We went on a Sunday at 1 pm and got a place to sit. However after 2 pm it is totally empty. I see everyone from Asian origins eat there which guarantees that this restaurant is authentic in serving Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo cuisines. Service: If you only speak English, don't worry, the staff speak and understands English too. So, please don't assume. Price: $15 per person and it fits my budget. read more
This good court is great. It's located off route 40 near Rolling Road. There's a shopping center downstairs (underground) from the food court that has a lot of stuff you can buy for you home. Huge plus. We went to the restaurant straight ahead (see video for menu). It was crowded so I didn't get to get a shot of the restaurant name. There are only about three restaurants so you can't miss it. All of the restaurants looked good. Order: Kalbi Bibimbap - Hot pot full of rice, veggies, and the all time best; kalbi. It was delicious. Kimbap - We grabbed a pack at the counter. For those that aren't familiar with this; its delicious and not raw like Japanese sushi. It comes with beef bulgogi, carrot, diago (spelling?) and rice wrapped in seaweed. read more
I keep coming back to this place, bc there food is great, and very fairly priced. I like it that it is order and pick up at the counter, so it is a very convenient way to get a quick bite. I got an order of fried dumplings an the stone pot galbi bi bim bop. It was all piping hot and delicious! read more

So many options at this Asian food court except Filipino foods. The ones far behind are the best. I just realized some of them are just selling frozen goods and noodles available from the adjacent Asian supermarket. May save you money if you are familiar with the items esp the frozen ones then just cook at home. ;) If you dislike cooking but still like Asian foods (and boba, they have it there too, not the best but will do when you're craving) this is one nice food court for you! read more

First time trying anything from this food court and loved it! Got the half jjamppong and half jjajangmyeon. Didn't know which one I wanted to go for and was delighted to see that there was an option to get both! Everyone I know raves about this foodcourt and its well deserved. Theres different stalls and a variety of dishes to choose from. Definitely a place worth checking out! read more

The Chinese Korean stall (second from left after entering) has the best Jajangmyeon in the area. It's the only place that has nice sized pieces of pork in the sauce. The noodles are so chewy and delicious. And it's so cheap. Can't go wrong with #84 which is a generous portion of the jajangmyeon and the sea food soup (lots of mussel, shrimp and squid). It hits the spot. So tasty and huge portions for $14. The lady at the counter isn't always the friendliest but the food makes up for it. read more
Great place. I like Beijing which is to the left of the ramp at entry. Spicy and tasty! Large portion with lots of seafood. Giant shrimp and well prepared vegetables! A great dish for this Fall season and definitely the soup is a comfort food win! read more
