This food spot has been here for a minute and I alway come for the chicken teriyaki, which is a best seller. The service is prompt and servers courteous. I placed my order and was asked for a choice of white rice or veggies. They alway ask if you want extra meat (additional charge). I said no, this time, and went with the veggies only. They sell other items as well such as beef, shrimp or a mix teriyaki, egg rolls, and bento boxes. They have a special Mon-Wed deal: buy one chicken teriyaki, get the other for $5.99! They have a flat grill that is always loaded with the chicken that they grill. The orders are prepared assembly line style. When ready, they ask if you would like additional sauce, that they ladle over your order fresh off the grill. My order was ready in no time and the meal came to $10.48 with tax, which wasn't that bad. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. All in all, a great choice for a quick lunch/dinner option. read more

I decided somewhat outta boredom and adventure, to Uber down by this mall earlier today. Why Uber? I don't drive. I am an adult(22), but I don't drive. I didn't go 100% to just stop here but I did look around. This mall sucks, big time. Couple years ago, it wasn't a great mall regardless but was a little more acceptable, now it really has nothing. All of the anchors are gone now, as you may or may not know. It used to have Macy's, sears, and Burlington, all of which I do remember going to tho Macy's and Burlington weren't the best locations per say. All you got in here really is DTLR, finish line, snipes, and seemingly a game store that seemed a little interesting, but it was closed as I went early(pretty much all stores were). Don't forget your phone stores/booths, tho it is a little odd you have no big brands, just metro and Total wireless. The Burlington is now an appliance store. The food court is still looking decent with sarku Japan still holding on, tho charley's is no longer there. Lots of vacant spots. There is no point to come here, at all. What used to be a grand mall has turned into an abandoned muddle of mid matched businesses. The food court is still there but all of the department stores and national chains are gone. The lady at boost moving was friendly and trying to help but the customer service is nothing. The mall had lots of flying insects and didn't seem well kept. The paper flowers were all covered with dust. Very sad. read more

I used to go to this mall only when the Seoul Spa used to be opened, they closed back in 2019 due to high rent. Not a fan of this mall, some sketchy characters, lackluster stores, I had a guy that came up to me talking and was following me around the store, it was uncomfortable. Recently, they had someone crash through the mall and tried to steal the ATM. Use your gut and don't do to this mall. read more

Claire's Horrible/No service The store is supposed to open for business at 10a. Well, it's 10:25a and there is NO ONE in site. The gate is partially open?!?! I called the store 4 times and no phone rang (that I could hear)?! I knocked on the gate and no one answered. From what I have read, this is not an uncommon occurrence. Security Square Mall has been around for a very very long time. I remember Security Mall being one of the most busiest malls in Baltimore County to looking like they were going to close because vendors and businesses were leaving. I haven't been there in a while nor done a full walkthrough but I did so on this visit. I was pleasantly surprised to see this more mall has more vendors, kiosks, and things going on than it had before! This mall is perfect for almost anything! They continue to be a hangout for teenagers, but I'm not upset about that... I was a teenager once and this is where I hung out. They have hair salons, barber shops, clothing stores, shoe stores, music kiosks, shirt makers and not just one but several, makeup stands, and they still manage to house the large department stores like Sears and Macy's. This place even has a furniture store here! Can you believe it? I have no issues with Security Square Mall because they continue to give the community what they want and I noticed they still have a few great stores that have always been popular such as as well as The Great Cookie, Claire's, Gold Bakery and I forgot Things Remembered. Security Mall could use an upgrade especially since it isn't going anywhere and I think they definitely deserve one but I'll continue to shop there no matter how it looks because they always come through in the clutch and I need things for my kids! I have no issue with parking other than they need to redo the parking lot. The lines are running into each other, uneven, and kind of makes no sense. But I'm also used to it, so I know how to deal with it. And it could always be worse. Another thing regarding parking / Transportation, there's several bus routes that come here so it allows workers and shoppers to get here at ease. I was once was one of the individuals that had to use that bus line to get there so I definitely appreciate it! Kudos to Security Square Mall for lasting more than 30 plus years! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The security here are crooks. They robbed me. I was walking to the bus stop when a security Guard approached me and started saying he wanted to look in my bags. So I let him. Then 3 other security guards came 1 girl and the others were males. They were harassing me and one guy grabbed me arm so hard. The girl then took my purse and my bags and ran. I think they did this because I am white. She ran back into the mall. I had to walk home because she took everything my money my phone everything was in my purse. So I went home and used my daughter phone to track mine phone. So I took a lyft back to mall and they started so much with me. They gave me my purse back but took everything out of it. Forget the other Yelper's reviews. As a sneaker head I like Security Square Mall. They offer Athlete's Foot, DTLR, Finish Line, Foot Action, Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Shoe City, and SPZN which are all great shoes stores. They also have a rim and tint store in the mall called Accelerated Tint & Parts. I do find that ghetto, but hey you can get your ride hooked up while your walking around the mall. Other places I like include Checkers, Burlington, Macy's and Old Navy. All in all a decent mall and No! You won't get mugged! I usually only venture into the mall if I'm really really bored or really need something I do not have time to get somewhere else. But this particular visit was a little hopeful. maybe because it was earlier on a Sunday & your usual crowd of teens were still rolling out of bed, or the prep for the upcoming holidays, but there was something refreshing in the air. I didn't see a mall full of disgruntled faces, but was greeted by hellos from kiosk vendors. Music from the CD man filled the air, the smells from the food court were delightful. It was almost a festive feeling. I ran into Old Navy & was happy to nab a cute fleece sweater for 60% off! Score!!! I love a deal!. One word "HUGE". This mall is never ending. Macy's and Burlington Coat Factory here are great! I found what I was looking for there and was very happy with my purchase. I also ended up doing some impromptu shopping at Sears. This was my very first time visit here and I liked this mall because it was less crowded as compared to many other malls in MD. In fact I had never heard of this mall before and probably wouldn't have ever if not for Burlington Coat Factory. From the first look of it I though it was an abandoned shady mall and was very surprised as I exited Burlington from the mall side. I was in the neighborhood and Google GPS took me there since that was the nearest Burlington from my location. While most of the shops may not carry the items that interest me, I was pretty impressed by the number of shops that are there and the ample parking space. I was so tired walking around the entire area. The ambience is very similar to the East Point Mall in Baltimore. read more

This mall actually isn't as bad as previous reviews are saying - it's holding its own through the general "mall decline", which actually says something about how successful it is. Their anchor stores (Macy's and Sears) are still thriving, and this mall has a lot less "empty" space than others (think Owings Mills - that one is sad, sad, sad). It was well filled on a Wednesday afternoon, something of a surprise. They had a good selection of stores, and I found everything that I needed relatively quickly. The mall has a decent selection in the food court as well, something that I'm not used to - usually places like this have a large selection of Chinese restaurants to choose from. Not here - they had other options, which I was pleased with. Yes, this mall is in an "urban" setting. If you're expecting an all-white, all-plastic crowd here, you need to go to Towson where you'll be more comfortable. However, this mall attracts all types of people, which is just fine by me. No, it's not fancy - you're not going to find Trader Joe's or Nordstrom. But you also won't find things like Wu's Wig Shop or Dollar Madness, either. I'll come here again. read more

This is the shadiest mall I have ever been to. It's 5:53pm (time moved back so it's dark all early now). I pull in the parking lot. Everyone is just sitting in their cars!! I'm not sure what's going on so I just wait to see if the cops roll up or a bunch of ninjas exit the place. After about five minutes nothing so I'm going to make this quick run. I have never been mugged here. Seriously though, I really don't like this mall. I'll go for the Pho (search for Pho Huong Moi), or last second trips to Macy's, but otherwise regular shopping here would not be recommended. The place just feels icky for some reason. Maybe it's the knock-off brand stores, or 80's paint job, but something just doesn't feel right. I don't really like malls all that much to begin with, however, I prefer that false sense of Security (har) found at most other malls. While I'd probably be more likely run down in the parking lot of Columbia Mall by "Prissy MomLexus McCellphone" than shot or mugged at security mall, I think I'll take my chances elsewhere. Security gets a pretty bad rap. Its honestly not that terrible. I grew up in West Baltimore and have zero issues with "urban"areas as some of the other yelpers coined Security as being. Is there a Nordstrom, Victoria Secret, MAC, or J. Crew? No, but if I want that I'll drive to Columbia or Towson. There is, however, a a decent Old Navy, Burlington, Macy's, Bath & Body Works and several sneaker stores. The food court is decent. Its great when i need something quick for my eight year old. I was in the area for a business conference, had a bit of a break in the afternoon and thought I'd stop in for a little shopping. I went in through Macy's, and was doing OK until I stepped out into the rest of the mall....that's when things started to go downhill. The mall is very dark and gloomy, LOTS of shoe stores, and for some reason, a lot of kids running around in all directions with little to no supervision. And I don't just mean toddlers running around....I'm talking about school age children....so why weren't they in school on a Thursday afternoon? But I digress....... The food court was just OK.....you have the standard mall food fare, with a couple of Asian/Japanese places (really, in a mall there is no difference), a Subway, a pizza place, and a Cajun grill that also sells....wait for it........CHINESE FOOD!!!!! Somehow I've missed all of those Chinese Cajuns on my trips to New Orleans! It's not a place that I would make a special trip to visit, but it was OK to kill some time in the afternoon. read more

I love this mall for a in and out type of day. It's not the best mall but they carry some good stores like Macy's, Old Nay, and Sears. I come in whenever there is a last min party and I need some thing quick. The mall is not as busy so it's easily to get to cashier and get out. The finishing touch barbershop is the worst and slowest barbershop in Baltimore. Poor customer service and the barbers will threaten your safety. Worst place to bring for your family hair cuts. It's not as bad as you think. The Sears at this location has a terrific tool selection. Plus, there are a ton of wig shops. I dress up as cartoon characters (ohhhhhh and do I) so I am constantly buying wigs. This mall has a large selection of wig shops, which are all pretty reasonable. The mall is clean. I think people tend to over exaggerate about how bad Security Mall is. Would I go out of my way to visit this mall? Honestly, no. I usually go to Columbia for a better selection of stores. But I work in the area and it's nice to be able to run in when I need something. I've shopped at Macy's, Burlington Coat Factory and Old Navy and I have no complaints. The Macy's is smaller than others, but barely has any crowds, which is great. Parking is never a problem as the mall is generally not crowded. Granted, I haven't visited the mall at night or on the weekends, but when I have visited I've never felt unsafe. read more

Do not shop at The Leather Man in Secuirty Mall. The owner of the store was very rude he called me out my name numerous times in front of other shoppers in the mall. I kindly asked him if he had a shoe in my size he was forcing me to by a smaller size shoe. I advise him I want my size . I then told him that's ok and proceeded to walk out the store he then got really nasty. I will never stop foot in this store again. I went to mall security who then looked at me like I was crazy. This place used to be way better back in the day, like during the times when my parents and aunts were in their teens (late 70's, going into the 80's). Since then, that mall has been in slow decline. It's almost sad cause the layout is very accessible and makes it easier for those that don't do steps or escalators. But once they lost the Suncoast and NY&Co., I lost all purpose to go here. Their Burlington Coat factory is ok but doesn't have nearly as much inventory as other ones in the county. Modell's is like very boring and Sears and Old Navy are just OK. And most of the other stores left now are like knockoff boutiques and cheesy jewelry stores that scream (dare I say) ghetto. But I can find better clothes stores in Mondawmin than here. Grand Mart was terrible and VERY dirty, so I'm not surprised that closed. The rest of Seoul Plaza is actually kinda nice but always desolate and seems like it would have potential if they get some more stores. I personally would love to see a J-Pop/K-Pop store, but that's probably pushing it, and since there are other Asian stores in the area to shop at, I doubt it will motivate people to start shopping there unless something fantastic is there. Retail is suffering right now in a lot of malls, but I think with the right management they can turn this mall back around one day. read more

First things first.. This mall is not the best looking inside or outside BUT I personally just come here for my haircut. There are two barbershops inside this mall. One with all black barbers and one with all Hispanic barbers (fyi I'm a black male) for the first year I went to the black barbershop which was ok but I just didn't like how my haircut always looked. So I decided to try the Latin. Shop and I never went back. Every time I et a haircut it's like a spa treatment an I always love my after look. This mall is HORRIBLE. There are no good stores! The anchor stores aren't even up to par. The food court is horrendous. Do we really need 3-4 Asian Cuisine spots in one mall?! Security Mall has no book store except the African American book store, which barely gets any business. Every time I go to Security Mall it's either empty or filled with a whole bunch of young ghetto teenagers that aren't even there for the purpose of shopping. Don't even think about going to the sub spot there. I have personally witnessed how unsanitary they are. Their food is very low in quality.
