I highly recommend Beshear for anyone looking for flooring installation. First of all, as seen in other reviews, Richard is great. He takes the time to answer your questions and provides great customer service. Even though installation was delayed, Richard was quick to communicate updates with us. I say this because many companies/contractors are horrible with communication. Rigoberto (I believe is his name) came to install and he was such a great worker. This man demoed our kitchen floor and installed the vinyl flooring in two rooms in just two days by himself. He also installed and painted our new floor boards. Oh man. Where do I begin with the review for Richard?? Can I give him 10 stars?? He's awesome, kind, helpful, knowledgeable and very responsive. Did I mention he's awesome?! I probably should start from the beginning. The hubby and I have wanted to replace our ugly, dingy, gross carpet when we moved into our home. We couldn't do it at the time and here we are 7 years later. And I should add that we had a slab leak back in October and our insurance was going to cover the cost to replace our laminate. So we were on the hunt for carpet and vinyl. We started with good ol' Home Depot. We went to the store and talked to the guys about carpet, vinyl and installation etc. picked out some samples, scheduled a date to get a quote yada yada yada. Well they quoted 4 bedrooms and a hallway for about 6-7k. So I can't remember but it was somewhere around that ballpark. AND we forgot to mention we needed flooring for our stairs. I'm sure it would've been a bit more. Didn't think much of it and so I suggested that we get another quote just in case. We have no idea what flooring should cost these days. So my city has a Facebook page and I've seen Richard's name pop up everywhere when it came to flooring. I told my hubby about Richard and he agreed to get an estimate. I contacted Richard on yelp and he was quick to respond. He came out a few days later to our home. Holy cow. Richard took the time to explain everything. He spent a good hour measuring and what will work and what won't. He didn't feel salesman-y at all. (Is that even a word?) after the meeting, my hubby was like forget Home Depot. We're going with Richard all the way. We told him we'd be in contact with him because we had a lot of other work that needed to be completed and we were tying to avoid having too many people in the house. Just a few weeks ago, my 14 month old son was walking on our uneven floor. It was half concrete and half laminate due to the water damage. Well he lost his balance and hit his head on the concrete floor. Luckily it wasn't too bad but my hubby had enough. Flooring was supposed to be done last but we couldn't risk our son constantly tripping and losing his balance. So I reached out to Richard and he was really nice and understanding that he squeezed us in to put the flooring in. I mean, how awesome is that?? Richard is super responsive (Sorry for the many texts!) and patient. I'm super indecisive and he's put up with my shenanigans he's stopped by to check out the work and made sure everything is done right. I've never had that kind of service! Our flooring is in and we couldn't be happier. Alex and Juan did a great job. They strive to make us happy and check in every now and then to make sure we are happy. They pay attention to detail to make sure the quality is there. Alex is very proud of his work. He will not as he calls it "Mickey Mouse" his work. Currently, they're working on our stairs and it's looking awesome so far. I'm not sure what else to say except Richard is your go to guy for flooring. You won't be sorry. This has hands down been the best experience I have ever had with any contractor. From the beginning Richard was professional and very focused on customer service. He worked around my busy work schedule to come out on a Saturday to give me a quote for the work to be done (re-installing hardwood floors in two large bedrooms and hallway, installing stair treads, railing, and baseboards). The quote I received was more than reasonable and work began the following Monday. The process of installation was easier than I could have imagined. Richard stayed in constant communication with me throughout the process: providing me with updates on the status of the project, any issues he encountered, pictures of the hardwood installed. Richard really showed that he is focused on delivering a quality finished product. The level of craftsmanship and professionalism delivered by Alex, the installer, was also exceptional. Our floors were not level at all, which was part of the reason why we needed the hardwood to be reinstalled. He was very careful to remove the flooring so that almost all of it could be reused. Alex also took the time to re-install sub-flooring in various areas throughout the space to ensure that the floors would be level. The stair treads and baseboards were also installed with a strong focus on detail. I cannot begin to describe just how much attention to detail Alex had during the course of this project. I would highly recommend using Richard for flooring needs. The customer service was exceptional and the finished product, as promised, was even better than I could have expected. read more

I purchased a home with new laminate floors and carpet. The original installers did a lazy job with the laminate, installed up to the base boards without removing them. Other issues caused by the lazy original installers: 1. Carpet wasn't power stretched, 2. subfloors weren't repaired prior to installation, 3. one or a few parts of the carpet were just staple-gunned down. What I liked about Richard is that he listens to what I needed. He didn't up-sell and worked with me to get the problems resolved on my schedule. His team came in and worked hard. At the company that I work for, we needed to install carpet for our conference rooms to mask the echoing. Once I made an appointment with Richard to do a walk through he was very friendly he came to our office with plenty of samples. We were very skeptical of using glue on our concrete floors but Richard was very knowledgeable on what glue to use that won't be harmful and would be easy to remove when we would want to take off the carpet.
