After having an absolutely horrid experience at another location, I came here to see if I could get my issue resolved. WaIted to speak with a manager and I was met by Alex. He was professional and courteous and listened to me vent. Although none of what happened earlier was his doing, he apologized and proceeded to see what he could do to make my experience better. Bottom line, he handled a difficult customer (me) as well as I could have been handled. Kudos to Alex and the management team at THIS Best Buy. Thanks to him, my son didn't get screwed on Christmas! When I finally tracked somebody down to help out, I asked her what the difference was between two sizes of amazon Echo products and she told me one was bigger so it can "hold more gigabytes". The 5 stars are for an employee named Frederick today. I was looking for a particular TV today and the two employees in that department told me where to look. I didn't find it so I asked another employee across the store, Frederick, if he could help me. He quickly researched and found that they have a few of the TV's I wanted. He actually went to the back of the TV department and physically carried it to the checkout counter for me. Talk about an employee that cares about customer needs. I bought 4 ink cartridges. The cashier told me it would be cheaper to get the package discount than for them to price match Amazon so that's what I did and came out almost $5 cheaper! If I could leve a negitive star rating I would. I stopped in to have a stereo put in my car. I waited for over 15 minutes and could not get anyone to wait on me. When I got there the clerk was with a couple. (He saw me) and when he was done, he just left. I tried to get another clerk to come over to me, but they all acted like I was a fungus or something. So-it seems this place is very hit or miss for people. Reviews on Best Buy's own site for this store are very split. I see there's only one review for it here on Yelp, and they had a bad experience that warranted one star. Mine wasn't nearly as bad, or even "bad" at all. I went in the other day to trade in a game for a different one. I had to stop in here because the Best Buy closest to me didn't have the game I was trading for in stock. As soon as I walked in, I was assisted by someone who tagged the game I was trading in and made sure I knew where to find the trade in desk. I made my way over and was helped right away by an employee, who at first was quiet but then started making casual small talk. The experience didn't blow me away, but both employees I met were courteous and didn't carry any sort of attitude. I noticed the other review is almost 2 years old-maybe it's a sign they've stepped up their customer service-who knows. Maybe there are still those bad experiences. If you need to go to Best Buy, maybe this shouldn't be your first choice, but it's not a bad one. Maybe it's just the luck of the draw. read more

I had a receiver that was under the best buy protection plan which failed. I brought it here to replace and they sent it in to get repaired. It took about 1.5 weeks longer than quoted but I finally got a notification telling me it was in. I went there to pick it up and they had lost it. I waited around for about 2 hours until they finally admitted it was lost. I was offered a sub par replacement in return. I had bought this receiver on sale but was reassured by the salesman along with the repair tech that if anything happened I would receive the same or equivalent receiver. Well that didn't happen. The manager was very rude, said I was unreasonable for expecting that, and that the other two were wrong. Instead of giving me the replacement like the other two employees and the terms and conditions started he just refunded me the sale price and told me to leave. He lost a customer for life. read more

I recently found an item $100 cheaper at Sears, came here and they matched the price. The sales man was super nice about besides being very knowledgeable about the products. I ordered a tv about 2 weeks ago to be picked up the same day . I knew the store was going to close at 7pm , so I ordered with about 2 hours before the store closing . I started to get anxious as it was getting very close to 7pm and I never received an email confirmed that I could go pick the tv . I started calling the store , and no one answered . So I had to cancel my order . Now , I just ordered another tv yesterday . To be delivered today , and guess what ? It was never delivered ! And I only bought it because the site said that it was going to be delivered today . You guys legit suck and have mediocre service . When trying to talk to anyone to see what could be done about it , the site's customer service doesn't work at all ! There's no one to talk with and I will have to cancel my order again . Tomorrow is Easter Sunday , so I know it won't be delivered . You lost another customer and sincerely I hope you loose thousands more for being the worse store and trying to get people to buy stuff from you with a bunch of lies . Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!! We purchased a washing machine. They delivered it on a Friday. Only to find out it was damaged! We went back in to Best Buy to explain our situation on the same day they delivered the machine. They directed us to an 800 number in which they spoke very little English and the connection was awful. They re-ordered a replacement machine. The new machine was to arrive on Monday between 12-6. At 6 we started calling the store and customer service. The store took almost 30 minutes to answer the phone while the call center answered in about 25 minutes. The call center placed me on hold for 40 MINUTES WHILE HE "INVESTIGATED" MY ISSSUE. He then informed me the new replacement machine was also damaged so they could not deliver it???????? SO they didn't call us for 7 hours to tell us that????? Then they told us we needed to wait another 24 hours for someone to contact us to schedule another deliver for another machine????? This is absolutely absurd. My husband called corporate and spoke to Tina who was AMAZING. But we still do not have a washing machine nor do we have a delivery date for a new one. We did not get a discount, nor was this the cheapest machine at all! Super disappointed in Best Buy all around. I had a positive experience by recycling my 15 year old Compaq desktop. The guy at the front door assisted and even returned the cart for me in less than 2 minutes. Now that's customer service for you. Office Depot on E Mississippi was going to charge me 25 dollars while Best Buy charges nothing for recycling old computers. read more

I don't normally write reviews at all or in such DETAIL that it take 8 reviews to relay, but I a have NEVER been so frustrated in my entire life over something that should be easy to amend. The ENTIRE 2 DAYS I felt dlike I treated like a problem than a person trying to get good customer service over a defective product I purchased on Black Friday. Let me preface my story with I know it sounds like the ravings of a mad man, but the whole point behind it is that a company should stand behind it's products they sell, the lack of accountability and apathy of society and business models today toward other human beings and general concern for how we will be as a society 10 years from now. We expect 100% from most every product or service we receive and I know that is not entirely realistic. An airplane pilot doesn't just stop 90% of the way, but their job is required to fulfill safe passage for their clientele. Things break, products break, there is human error, but some aspect of customer service is to remedy it. This isn't so much at a the customer being king (as I don't really believe in that model) but when you spend ones hard earned money on a brand new product that has features that doesn't work it should be backed by the company that sells it. My Telenovella: I spent TWO WHOLE DAYS (morning to night) trying to return a defective black Friday TV, thats' hdmi port did not work. I specifically chose the TV because it has 3 HDMI ports and I have 3 gaming systems (as it already is, they strip down many of these mass produced Black Friday TVs' and their features, including the amount of hdmi ports they have comparable to regular tvs they stock annually). I purchased the TV from DERYK in the home theater department that night of Black Friday. He informed me at the time of purchase they were unable to ship the 70" TV from their warehouse because it was no longer available and thus did not qualify for a home delivery. Okay, I thought no big deal (I know the Black Friday ad advertised for FREE in home delivery), but I can call up a friend with a vehicle to pick up the TV the next day. After discovering the hdmi port that didn't work I called the store and spoke with an employee who directed me to the geek squad call center. After waiting on in queue for a good 45 minutes, I spent a good ONE and ONE -HALF hours with a female, who initially told me there were no more of the same TV's in Colorado to exchange the TV for, but I could swap it for a TV comparable in price/quality. So I decide on one and as she tries to finalize the delivery THEN tells me she is unable to do so because I purchased the TV at the store and thus does not qualify for delivery and that it falls on THE PURCHASING STORE to exchange the TV out. So I get in the mindset I can change the TV out for one comparable to it in price/quality and choose a 70" Sony or 75" Samsung at the time. I call back the store and speak with KEVIN who works in the geek squad (or at least answered that extension), who tells me to bring the TV in to exchange and checks the stock for the 75" Samsung and claims they are low in stock so I need to come by soon, but to CALL before I do so I don't end up bringing the TV to the store with nothing to exchange it for. At this point, I've spent a good 2 to 3 hours trying to return a defective TV. I'm tired and getting angry with all the run around and MISINFORMATION. I then call up my friend to come over to help me bring the TV back to the store because I don't have a vehicle to do so. My friend gets to my house 1 hour later and we BOX up the TV. Some of the appliances we ordered came in damaged. They agreed to replace them and set up a delivery for 8/20/2020. Since then, they have canceled this appointment 7 with only generic reasons such as "unable to be delivered that day". I sat on hold with the local store for 45 minutes without getting a response. When I call the customer service line they "try" and transfer me and the call gets dropped. I just sat on hold for 32 minutes asking for a manage/ supervisor only to have the call go back to the switch board and then the call disconnected for the fourth time tonight. read more

Best Buy now resorts to scams to make up for lost profits to amazon. Don't buy their "warranty". It's a rip off of a deal. Watch out as well, they have changed their return policy to 15 days. So when your $200 headphones fail at 16 days you loose the $40 you spent on a "warranty" because you have to use that "warranty" for the exchange. That's a pretty cleaver scheme they have devised to make money. But amazon has never pulled this kind of crap on me when an item they sold me is defective. I wish I could give negative fifteen stars!!! So my grandpa died. My grandma has been having trouble sleeping so I let her use my ipod at night and she loved it and was able to sleep. She asked me to buy her, "one of those little radios", and gave me some money (so cute, I didn't take it). So I go to Best Butt and I find this little 4 Gb mp3 player, I didn't think she needed all the extra space and my mom has a pc and it was pc compatible. It was called an eclipse it was $29 bucks. Try it out, why not. It had a sticker over the screen. Get home, start charging it and take the sticker off and the screen is cracked!!! So I go back up there, tell the woman at customer service that the unit I bought was cracked, I wanted to exchange it and I had the new one right there. She didn't even apologize for inconvenience, my time, nothing. So she says, "I can do a return I just need your photo ID." "What? My ID? For What???' "So I can process your return.", she says. "Why would you need my ID to process a return?", I say. "We just need it.", she says. "Why?", I say Blank stare.... Is she talking about typing the information on my drivers license into her company computer? The same license I have to show to the bank when I want to take out money?? NO, I am too concerned about identity theft to let anyone do anything like that. Ok so this is reminding me of a few weeks ago when I went to purchase a money order and they wanted my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! She goes and gets Tyler who is presented as a person of authority. Tyler says they need to keep track of how many returns I do in a year. (yes, my hobby is buying things and returning them in my spare time. I love to burn gas and I rarely have anything important to do.) I told him I wasn't going to expose myself to identity theft just to do a return. He said, "Oh no, that's not a problem. Not with our system." Who are you, the creator of wiki leaks who moonlights on the side at Best Buy? Pullleeaaasse. Like you know anything about network security. And that isn't even the point. So I tell Tyler that if they REQUIRED me to show my photo ID to do a return that they should have told me that before I bought it. And then he says, "Well did you ask?"!!! Haha. Yes, that's my responsibility Tyler. So I tell Tyler (systems network security genius) that if I was required to show ID in order to do a return I should have been told that and I would have paid cash. He says, "Oh that wouldn't make a difference you would still have to show ID"! I'm thinking, What!!! Who do you people think you are!! Then Tyler says, "Besides it's in a clear plastic case, how do we know...." "How do you know what?", I said. "How do we know you didn't break it", Tyler said. And I was done. I said that I wasn't going to show my ID just to do a return, he said then he wasn't going to the return then and asked me to leave. Which I did, without the unit, which I pitched on the floor like the trash it is. Such a waste of energy. Not worth it over $30. Won't shop here again. So I came last night-monday night at 7pm to try to get their pricing for car speakers and deck. I used to go to the best buy in westminster and over there they jump on you right away if you need help. Here I was completely ignored so I asked for assistance, waited around for 15minutes for help, had to ask same salesperson for assistance again because no one came. Finally someone came, but they could not assist me with any pricing or any help whatsover. I have to say all the employees were great and took time to answer my questions. I have to say though Jessica that was near the phone area went above and beyond. She noticed I had my hands full and asked if I wanted a basket. I told her yes I probably should and then I told her never mind I'm just grabbing one more small item. She said well here let me grab some of those out of your hands and help you take them up front. She was extremely friendly & listened to me. The Geek Squad located here gets the lowest rating available. I had a 10am appointment to pick up a brand new laptop. I was 15 late. When I arrived there was NO ONE there waiting that had an appointment at that time. I explained to the Geek guy that I went to the wrong Best Buy and was there to pick up my laptop. It's important to note that NO ONE there was waiting with an appointment. Geek guy told me I had to reschedule my appointment to 5:20pm tonight instead of just handing me my laptop and keeping a customer happy. He turned and walked away from me. I left the store and tried to call the Geek manager and there was NO answer for over half an hour. I returned to the store an hour later and a nice and somewhat thoughtful employee finally helped me and gave me my merchandise. Total time wasted was over 2 hours for a transaction that took less than 5 minutes. Horrible customer service. Lost this customer forever. I'm sure they don't care. read more
