Purchased washer /dryer with extended warranty . both developed issues within the first year , 2 months of trying to schedule a service(on hold for over an hour each time, then was greeted by a call center in INDIA..) ,they blew me off twice only to tell me on the third attempt that they ( A & E appliance service co.) does not service this area.. We've had excellent care from Best Buy (so far ...) They've been really good to us and the GEEK SQUAD has been superb. We have a sound system that's out of this world, now on both TV's. No major speakers set up on the smaller televisions. We're extremely happy with our setups, now to find the perfect setups for our RV. read more

What can I say? It's what you expect when you walk into a Best Buy. They have friendly and attentive staff, and usually have what you are looking for. Well, besides graphics cards. However that is hopefully only temporary as it is an industry issue with the semiconductor shortage and scalpers scooping them up. Regardless, this Best Buy usually has good stock of most products and a very chill staff. I'm certainly glad to have one so close by. I recently needed a new power supply unit after getting a RTX 3070 graphics card. They had a gold plus rated one in hand for 30% off or so. Snatched it up. -- But anyways, if you're in the market for electronics and tech and you live in Central Oregon, head over to this location. It's worth browsing. read more

Just purchased over $3,000 worth of appliances from the Bend Oregon Best Buy and am having a nightmare of a time getting customer support. A stand for my new flat screen TV shipped without necessary parts. When attempting to order the parts, I was shuffled into phone menu limbo five times, each without a successful connection to the parts and service department. After requesting to speak with a supervisor my call was disconnected-- this after an hour on the phone. I can only surmise that Best Buy's customer support group is absolutely incompetent. I will never buy a product from Best Buy again. Update: Just got off the phone with one of Best Buy's consumer relations staff, who expressed to me the opinion the Best Buy should not be responsible for the fact that the stand shipped without necessary parts, and that it was the fault of the manufacturer. I disabused the young lady of her opinion, stating that if Best Buy can't take responsibility for the products which they sell, then maybe they are in the wrong business. Sheesh!!! read more

I had to make an emergency laptop purchase at this Best Buy location. I was driving from Portland to Lakeview on business & my laptop just went capoot. Caleb helped me immediately & was very friendly & helpful. I told him what I was looking for in a laptop, what my top priorities were & he showed me a couple models & chose one! He didn't try to sell me unnecessary things or add stuff. He also found me a great iPhone car charger for a decent price. My only complaint is this, I wish he'd have told me that set up by the Geek Squad wasn't a big deal, that I can install the antivirus myself & be ok. Mind you, I realize that this is something any idiot should know, but this is only my 2nd laptop but since high school. So in a nutshell, time crunch--no time for set up, 3 hours to Laleview, 3 hrs back up to Bend for set up, set up would be done the NEXT day (arrgg!! NO!) wasted a lot of time because I thought this set up was necessary. Tell your customers that set up is not necessary!! Especially if they're noobs like me! We bought a Samsung tablet from Best Buy a couple of years ago. Worked fine until I dropped it a couple of months ago, then it wouldn't boot up any longer. Made an appt. with the Geek Squad. The kid looked at, tried to start it, fiddled with it for about 2 minutes (all the things I'd already done), then said it was "scambled internally" and we'd need a new one. Never opened it up or did anything else. He also suggested we talk with the in-store Samsung rep, said they have "codes" that might work, whatever that means. Talked to the rep, equally useless waste of time. Did nothing but tell us to buy a new one. All the store had were ones that were way fancier and more expensive than what we wanted. Ended up buying a used one on eBay exactly like what we had. That would have been the end of the story, until we were talking to a local cell phone repair shop - FK Cell Phones (see separate review) - about the incident. He popped the back off the "internally scrambled" tablet, and immediately saw that the connection to the battery was loose. He secured it, closed it up, and the tablet works perfectly!! Didn't even charge us. If the Geek Squad had done its job, none of this would have been necessary. The kid we worked with didn't care and couldn't be bothered to even make an honest attempt at fixing it. And now I've wasted money on a second tablet I never needed. Meh. I've experienced better is an overstatement. I just don't want to give a single star because I liked the cashier. Not only is merchandise WAY over priced, but the lack of quality customer service is truly gross. Example: I couldn't find the movie 'Fight Club' in the blurays. So I walk up to the closest employee, who was leaning on a counter talking to another employee about having to pay his fiancee's mom back, and asked him if he could help me. He asked what I was looking for, and I told him. He says, while pointing "I'm not sure if we have it but if we do it will be in one of those bins." There were like 6 bins. Really? You cant stop complaining to your buddy for 3 minutes to check the inventory to see if you even carry it? Obviously owing your soon to be MIL a few dollars is so life altering that it prevents you from doing your job. I will plan ahead next time, and shop Amazon. I will add, that the cashier was friendly and very apologetic, he did check inventory and they didn't carry either of the two blurays I had went there for. Another reason to go Amazon. read more

Nathanael was half an hour earlier than scheduled, which is always a bonus! He solved every issue we had - malfunctioning printer, malware having been hacked into my computer, and moving/setting up a flat-screen TV. He left notes that included directions for future problems and reminders of what we need to buy to mount one of our TVs on a wall. I came in today to purchase a notebook for my daughter. I had many questions and I was ready to purchase today. Although there were many employees all over the store, and multiple employees in the computer section, no one approached me to help. Two employees were chatting, and I asked if either of them could help. The man in black basically walked away and left Josh to help. Josh was apparently put out to have to help a customer. After about two minutes of conversation he pointed to the Samsung sign and told me that would probably be a good choice. He did not follow me to help. The only employee in that section was helping another customer and I was left standing without a sales associate. I wonder why they bother to advertise when customers are just left hanging. I am a long time Best Buy shopper and an Elite Member. This place is hit or miss with me. There are a couple of really good people working there, and they usually have what I'm looking for, but it's almost always impossible to get someone to help you. The last laptop I bought, I waited 40 minutes before someone finally asked me if I needed help, gave them the sku, model, and upc to the computer I wanted, after a few minutes I purchased my computer and went home. When I got home I figured out they gave me a completely different computer, so I went to return it, and told them what happened. After a few minutes of them looking everything over, they clerk says, this is the wrong computer. Yeah...I know that, that was the whole reason I returned it, I told him can I get the computer i intended to buy, they said no, it's probably gone now(it was few days ago I bought it) and they can't get more, so I just got a refund. If you know what you want then this is a great place to get it, but if you need help, go somewhere else. read more

The service was excellent and the product as expected EXCEPT: NO RECEIPT was emailed to the email given on my account. I tried calling the store 4 times on the same day and day after purchase. Each time, if the automated response system wasn't full of static (used two different cell phones to call the store), it cut off before connecting to anyone. Called the store and tried every option available to get to a human. No such luck and no option. Called again from a landline and ended up for 20 minutes on a holiday musical merry go round with no answer or transfer to a real person. Tried the EMAIL function on the store's site and it didn't work either. I don't live in Bend but now have to drive to the store to get the receipt I need for an expensive business product. read more

My name is Mike, and I am 72 years old. I have become so accustomed to being let down or disappointed with companies' service departments which were justly deserved. I went to Best Buy to have a new back-up camera installed in my truck. The installers in their shop told me that I had purchased a lot of the wrong equipment, immediately throwing up my "old man" red flag. This is where I started to dig in my heels, thinking that this was going to go terribly wrong. Boy, was I wrong! The installers at Best Buy did everything they could to make me happy. They bent over backwards to appease my insecurities. They came through on everything they promised me they were going to do, and then some. So for all of you who think you have to take your car to those fancy stereo places, you will not find a better store to do business with. Take the advice that the installers give you. I bought a laptop here online and picked up in store. That was fine but I did some browsing while I was here. I opened a box to get more familiar with the product (headphones). Apparently another employee called manager Chris over to me to tell me that taking it out of the package was bad and they have to take them out of stock now. He wasn't polite about it, I said I was very likely going to buy because I like skull candy products. The guy basically reprimanded me when he could have handled the situation and informed the customer instead. The store was overstaffed which made it feel very weird. I had three employees ask if I needed help while looking at one product, but not one of them said anything about the open box. I told the front door guy about my experience and he was indifferent to how Chris treated me. Just shows that big box retailers don't care about customers. I won't shop here again. read more

Being a loyal Best Buy customer for years, I can't even begin to tell you how rude and incompetent the apple people and others were in this store. My Apple Watch battery had expanded and had busted the case. The apple people in the store acted like the watch was going to blow up. Lol The women apple representative told me I should start looking for a new watch. They called some guy over who took my watch and was going to throw it in a sand bucket. I told them no, I wanted to personally run this by apple. They were all rude and acting like complete jerks. I called apple and they were shocked by my treatment. They asked me to send the watch for service and they would take of it. Apple said they would file a complaint. DO NOT use these people. read more

My 3 year old laptop was making some ugly noises, but working OK otherwise. I figured it must be the fan so I stopped by the Geek Squad desk in Best Buy here in Bend to see if it would be cheaper to change out the fan or just get a new laptop... and more importantly, how log I would be out of business.... I work from home and the laptop is my business computer. BRANDON was awesome. He explained that here in Central Oregon it's common for dust to build up in the fan and that it would only take 20 minutes to open the computer and blow out the dust. He set me up for an appointment at 6pm and when I got there at 6 they took care of it immediately. I was out of the store with my now quiet laptop in 30 minutes and the cost was exacty what he said it would be. While I was waiting on the laptop to be cleaned out, I wandered over the the new computer department too look around. I told them that I was not currently in the market for a new computer, but the guys back there were also very friendly and spent time to answer my questions and educate me about the latest laptops. I was VERY impressed by the service in both departments, and I definitely recommend going into Best Buy for anything electronic. read more

I had originally placed a pick up order at this store. On the 3rd day after the order was placed and processed I get a notification that it was cancelled. The journey that took a whole day trying to find an explanation on how my ordered was cancelled dragged. No explanations was given, I spoke to 6 different phone agents (who was also confused why my ordered was cancelled) who tried getting a hold of the agent who cancelled my order and a manager named Tim. People don't just give bad reviews for no reason, look at the pattern when it pertains to their customer service at this location. Yes people will get some good service but the pattern and consistency of the bad service they provide don't lie. read more

I was ready to buy but had some questions. The salesman didn't seem to want to be bothered and wouldn't let me try to play the media I brought with me on any of their sets to see if it would play. That's OK - company policy. I get it. Don't like it but I get it. From then on his attitude was just I don't want to bother with you. I bought a terk universal remote from this establishment and have had nothing but issues since. The remote works but I have been having trouble connecting it to my tv and tried to get help from best buy. I have total tech support so I thought it would be easy, but they told me one day that if I brought it in they could work on it, so when I called asking for a price, they then told me they can't do anything in the store, and to call their 1-800 number. I called and told them to call back, but I never was called back. I called again and they said it would be a five minute hold, but I have been on hold for over 25 minutes. As with most if not all Best Buy stores, this store does not have a particularly incredibly wide selection, amazing location, or many extraordinary attributes. What I appreciated the most about this store was being able to return a Netgear GA311 desktop network card that did not function without any trouble whatsoever. And right around the store's early Sunday closing time as well, without being turned away or treated rudely. I'd even dare to say that had this particular store been in California, this would have been different. Glad this return worked as successfully as it did. read more

Geek Squad. Rude, arrogant and not helpful. Took computer in for clean up. Came back in worse shape than when taken in and all they can say is talk with your internet provider​. Having to search down employees to ask questions. Watching them avoid customers on the floor and being talked down to by the Geeks will not cut it. Waste of $200 for a year of Geek on my electronics. I had a horrible experience with Geek Squad for a home speaker install. It seemed like it would start out easy, setting up the in-home consultation for $100. But then when trying to set up the purchase and install, the communication process is torturous, trying to find someone at Best Buy to interpret and set up the Geek Squad proposal. When I finally spoke to someone at Best Buy after over a month of trying, they told me parts of the proposal were optional that weren't. So when Geek Squad came, they said I'd only paid for part of the speaker wiring process, and they'd be leaving wires in my walls that were a fire hazard. I told them I'd been misinformed and wanted those replaced, but they said they couldn't do it, and they'd have to charge an extra $170 on top of the $100 for the rewire. I highly recommend finding a service where you're talking to the same people the whole time; their internal miscommunication has made this process take months, and cost much more than expected. read more
