This review is for the Polaris location. Total Tech/Geek Squad appt 2:40 5/6/24 There are two closer Best Buys to my house... I choose this one whenever I need to have 1) something repaired/serviced/returned. 2) Need assistance in selecting an electronics item. I have had consistent good service here, where the other locations its been hit or miss. We are Total Tech Members, now called "My Best Buy Total" (such a dumb name change) Its their $179 extended warranty that covers everything you buy within a 2 yr purchase date. Sounds pricey.... Well, its benefited us every year without fail it has saved us far more than 179 per year. I highly recommend it and also recommend this location and staff: Today my appt was at 2:40. I get there, one person(DJ) is helping his customer. I stand in queue, DJ interrupts his session and kindly offers for me to sit at the open tech desk while I wait (so I did not need to stand) they must be able to see me via camera as Bryan Cowee comes out seconds later and greets me smiling with welcoming hello. We discuss my issues with my Nintendo Switch. It has 2 days left of its warranty. (Now thats important to the story). It no longer is letting me use the side controllers when used remotely... the which is 1/2 the point of owning a switch. Bryan examines them. He finds out that the console's lock to the controller is also broken. So the console needs to be sent out to be fixed and then after that is fixed it comes back to the ahop and then sent out again to another place for the separate issue of the joystick/controller. This weird shipping issue is a Nintendo issue, not necessarily a Best Buy issue. Knowing Nintendo is a pain in the butt to work with I ask... but when we bought this Total Tech- rep said if anything happens, anything at all, being it in, they exchange it for a new one. Well now enters the two days left on my warranty. Best Buy now will still replace it, but only after sending it out for repair(bunmer for the customer, but a good business decision, it makes sense)... if it cannot be repaired, it then gets replaced (fair). However, I quickly realize that if this sends out for one thing by the time it comes back to be sent out for the other issue, it's then out of warranty. I bring that up. Bryans is busy truing set up the transaction on his laptop and says. "Yeah that could be problematic, but right now my system to set up the repair has crashed." He asks For help, dJ comes over after he is done with his client. He cant get it to work on his. They go to the main terminal. System is still crashed. They literally couldnt get the system to process the repair ticket. Bryan picks up the phone calls Naag, (Im unaware that he is advocating for me... due to the warranty timing and due to their system crashing, Naag the department head goes to advocate for me to Kumar, a manager and in less than a few minutes Naag comes over with a big red box! Nintendo switch boxes are RED. It was a brand new Oleg Switch. Yay! Thank you Bryan, Naag and Mr Store Manager. Since they couldn't get the system to boot up and since there was two days left on my warranty counting that day.... They, without me begging, pleading put their customer first and switched out the switch! The entire session from sitting down to product in hand took maybe ten minutes. Not long at all! I have had other trips in where I have been helped by Bryan. He was very knowledgable in those sessions. Those times went smoothly, too. Ive purchased apple products from Naag a year ago (2 iP, fancy keyboard . His helpfulness on the sales floor has been above and beyond. I actually now search him out when I have a question. I recommend this location. They really try hard to help the customer. Also, I recommend the Geek Squad and the new "My Best Buy Total" despite the really long and dumb name. read more

Customer service at Best Buy is non existent. Not a single sole at the stores is capable of resolving problems. All phone calls are routed to offshore call centers such as Panama and Honduras. The people who answer the phone barely speak English. The problem is Best Buy corporate. They are deteriorating the company to no more than a discount drive-through. I really like Best Buy and have purchased a lot from them over the years. Recently I went to Best Buy to purchase 3 Chromebooks. When the salesperson came over and asked if he could help I explained I wanted to buy 3 Chromebooks. He told me that I did not want Chromebooks and I should purchase a PCs instead. When I explained I knew what my needs were, he simply walked away and refused to get the chromebooks I wanted. I also want to purchase a Pixel 4 watch and had to hunt down a clerk to buy one as they were all standing around talking to each other. When I finally got a clerk to help me, he explained the 41MM that I wanted was out of stock - even though the web site said it was in stock. He did not offer to order one and simply told me I had to go to another location to purchased one. I will be buying my Chromebooks and Pixel watch from Amazon. I'd much rather support a local retailer but the attitude of the clerks at the Polaris location is basically "we could care less." Under renovation. Partial services available at the front though you cannot go into the store (8.24.22). It's more like a modified Curbside option with 7 or 8 employees loitering and blocking the entrance in between helping customers. Not sure how long the construction and renovation will take but we were able to return an item with ease. I would call the store +1-614-430-0789 or maybe check online, but when I looked at the website I didn't not see anything about the limited service until we stepped out of the car. In the fall of 2024, I purchased several Christmas gifts for my family. Without my permission or knowledge, I was signed up for some sort of annual service by the salesperson. I did not ask for it, I did not agree to it. In the fall of 2025 that recurring charge that I did not agree to was put my Best Buy card again. I called to complain and was told there was nothing can be done. I immediately cancelled the Best Buy credit card. However; the credit card company that issued the card is still letting Best Buy charge me. I have written to the credit card company which is Citibank and they too say that there is nothing that can be done. I have told them I will not pay. They should not be allowed to cheat and steal from customers. And now it appears that Citibank is compliant in this scam to steal from customers. The good news is that I am old and don't need to worry about how this will affect my credit score. But for everyone else, be careful, the Best Buy sales team are tricking customers and Citibank is complicit. If you do buy from Best Buy, protect yourself, pay in cash. read more

Placed an order on september the first to be delivered on the seventh between 13:45 and 16:45 for a fifty five inch tv and a soundbar, The time came and went with no call and no show. Driver finally calls at eight fifteen, says they're picking up the soundbar at the at the store. I told them at that point we need to reschedule. I called and talked to customer service, and they said, I would have to call on Sunday. So I did, then they told me, I'd have to wait 24 to 48 hours for them to process it. Here it is monday at twelve noon and still have not received a call back to schedule the new delivery and they've got my money. That has got to be the dumbest ass procedure, i've ever heard about you never make customer wait. And when you screw up that customer should get top priority to get it fixed. The bathrooms are total trash! I've lived overseas in third world countries and have not experienced anything as disgusting as the bathroom here at Best Buy! So the toilet paper roll was not attached. It was sitting on top of the trash/ feminine disposal box. There was a teenager smoking weed in there. Also the paper towel disposal was broken off the wall and sitting between the sinks. So if you try to get paper towels out the whole container can potentially fall and possibly injure your foot!. Got a good deal on an 85" Sony Bravia 7 in store purchase right before Black Friday. We were given a delivery date that with no good reason was pushed back nearly a week, the cancelled by a customer service representative without authorization. Tried to call the store for assistance, forget it, Best Buy DOES NOT take incoming calls which is outrageous. All customer service calls go to a call center in India. After driving 45 minutes to our closest Best Buy the 1 of 5 store managers reordered our tv for an even later delivery than originally agreed upon but assured us the customer experience team would call with an offer to compensate us for all the delays, need to drive into the store to speak with someone face 2 face but then they never called which required yet another trip into the store to sort things out. Finally a customer experience rep tried to pull a short change on us offering a store gift card for $150 for our trouble as opposed to the $200 discount on our purchase we were promised earlier by another store manager, this after digging my heels in and insisting on the previously agreed upon amount be issued via check. Finally we were satisfied we got a good tv at a good price with a decent installation crew which we paid for ($200) so installation was basically the compensation we received, which seemed fair. All in all, good deal at a fair price but we had to work for it!! Best Buy, my advice, ditch the overseas call center and let your customers call your store if they have a problem and need help! Worst performing Best Buy store ever. Hit it up as it's on my lunch hour as I needed an inexpensive wireless mouse. Stood in line at the computer desk behind two active customers serviced by THREE associates and not one single associate even acknowledged my presence. No greeting. Not anything along the lines of "we'll be with you in a quick minute" nothing to even acknowledge my taking space. After THIRTY MINUTES finally, the gentleman in the black shirt said he was unaware I was waiting in line thinking I was with one of the other two active customers. Unacceptable. I told him I wasn't even ACKNOWLEDGED. He had no excuse. I finally took the liberty to walk away from their active line and one of the young men, approached me asking (Andrew I believe was his name) what I needed. I told him. He walked me over to the options, asked me a few questions and we zeroed in on what was needed. It was THAT simple. I went to the cashier line stood behind THREE people and the young man in the glasses saw me, acknowledged me and said to me, "We'll be with you in just a minute" with a smile. Keep in mind there were two peers of his also working and he had the decency to acknowledge me and that was all it took. Tried going to the Best Buy website to submit a ticket and naturally, you have to call to talk to someone after that experience? No thanks. I'll find the email and submit my thoughts and poor experience. No wonder no one likes traditional brick and mortar stores. I wasn't acknowledged I cannot get past that. This store is awful. Please do not call Geek Squad. After an initial visit to our home, the salesperson seemed to understand our connectivity issues. Singular TV remote went well. We have installed boosters to support the signal. We have had them out 2x's since the original. My wife spent at least 5 hours talking to tech support all on one call. She wouldn't let them off the hook. We've spent over $1000 and now we can't reach anyone. They oversold their abilities and capacity and I'm stuck with an intermittent WiFi. Bought Best Buy's total tech coverage for four years in a row that was sold on convenience and ease of service is there is an issue "with all your electronics purchased under the plan". Walked in to utilize service on a Sonos speaker sold in the home by their Tech service. After an hour of trying to find receipts even for the plan, I was able to locate them in my own email because "it was not found in their system". Geek squad sought out manager "Kumar". He did not want to get involved and wouldn't get involved in the situation. They declined to take care of the single speaker and stated although we have consistently paid for total tech, they would not address the speaker issue as it was past the 2-year plan. Be careful on buying plans from Best Buy. They love to make money off them, but also love to find ways to not take care of customer issues and needs. When the delivery/installation people came, they said it was the wrong ice maker. The appliance staff and supervisor kept telling me that they would get me the appropriate ice maker, and they were mainly placing the blame on Whirlpool. Going on three months, I still don't have the ice maker I was promised. They keep giving me lip service, and praise me for "being so patient", but now I've had it. I'm a fan off Best Buy, who isn't? They have all the games, gadgets and electronics your little heart could desire. So my husband and I came in here tonight to try to find something similar to the fit bit without the green light the fit bit has to keep track of our activity and heart rate. This was quite the difficult ordeal as the salesman and I had to convince my husband that sometimes you just have to deal with these "green lights" he really wanted something to just track his heart rate at night. We stumbled upon the Microsoft Band 2, it still had the green light that my husband doesn't like, but the salesman and I sold my husband by telling him well you can just dim that light and you won't see it as much at night. It took 2 walks around the store to convince my husband to finally buy this product. My sales technique worked along with the guy's at Best Buy! Thank you dude for helping us! We'll see how he likes the product we are testing it tonight to see how accurate it is for him. I'm just a tad bit jealous because this is a sweet product, it not only tracks the heart rate but can get cell phone texts, messages, track workouts and more. I visit the Polaris, Columbus Ohio store and all of the record players are in boxes with not one single model out on the floor as a sample to look at. Why don't you have samples of what you are trying to sell out? What is the point of physically going inside a store to look at something? Then they had almost nothing in stock. Spent $4,000+ using their in-home-advisor (IHA) service. This was a trial use of that program which they failed/under-delivered fantastically. Had them set up our network/Wi-Fi with multiple access points, a 24switch and a boost. Network drops constantly, disconnecting from the APs. Geek Squad left the cat5e RJ45 plugs even though cat6 wire was run through the house (new build), slowing performance but they did not relay this to me of course. They also refused to terminate the pre wire for poor reasons. Per their usual, sales pitch on no commission, yet up selling on every aspect. Hidden fees and charges, poor transparency and communication on charges. Promised 10% discount for this degree of service not followed through = no discount for spending $4k. I physically went back to the store and neither Grant the IHA at Polaris nor the store manager would speak with me. All I wanted was an explanation of what the charges meant, what they were for, would not give me the time of day. Our IHA, Jason Sigritz, responded via email with a poor excuse for an explanation. Still no explanation about individual charges. Poor/one sided excuses for why they did what they did. No sincere apology for poor execution and poor communication. What I got from his response, "not my fault, deal with it". The next step was $15k+ in audio/visual. Apparently not enough to provide good service. Do not go to these people. If they have a cheaper deal on a product, that's fine, but for anything more involved, they are charlatans. read more

This is the worst car upgrades installation i have ever experienced!!! I purchase a remote start + alarm system + head units and all speakers for my car they told me everything is gonna work right and look right ....but the truth is they just throw all the stuff in here's why..... 1st my head unit seat back about an inch so all the buttons is hard to get to , so i call them and ask them to move the head unit out a bit so I can get to the botton and they told me they will reinstall it and make it right so I made the appointment took about 3 weeks so the day of apointmet I bring my car in for high hope.... unfortunately after 10 min in the garage they told me they can't fix it that's the way it is !!!! So I ask them kenwood design the screen to set back an inch ? Also there's a hdmi port in the back of unit so I ask them to run the line out and they told me there isn't one ....there only 1 use port for apple car play ,Android auto and use as hdmi port ..... very unprofessional install!! 2nd my remote start + alarm system they didn't turn my original alarm off so I ask them if they can turn off the original alarm off and they told me to do it my self is in the owners menu I feel that's a very unresponsible service 3rd when I call geek squad for help they told me to go back to the same store to get it reinstall ....there's nothing geek squad support can help.....so what is the support for? Very bad custom service Here's my advice if you want professional install don't use geek squad or buy over price products from best buy !!! all they know is charge for professional installations and give you unprofessional install ....very disappointed read more

Horrible beyond words. In May my husband and I made an exceptionally large purchase of kitchen appliances. Even after having Best Buy come out and measure to ensure the appliances would work, upon delivery several of the appliances would very clearly not fit and thus needed to be returned. From that point on it has been a nightmare. We are now nearly three months after the fact and we still have not had all of our money returned to us. We've made MULTIPLE trips to the store, and spoken with multiple departments over a 5 hour phone call with no resolution. We will never, ever shop at this store again. I bought an Apple Watch leather band a year ago to the day. Late yesterday it broke. I purchased it 8/21/2019, it broke 8/21/2020. 1 year warranty. I got the the store today, where customer service said it is out of warranty. I said to the clerk you were not open last night, at which time he said they were open to 7. A completely stupid thing to say to a customer. I purchased it 8/21/2019 @ 11:32 a.m.. I called Best Buy at 10:00 a.m. and was on hold for 30 minutes, so I hung up. 1 year from 8/21/2019 @ 11:32 a.m. is 8/22/2020 anytime before 11:32 a.m. I went to the store explaining the problem but the clerk didn't understand that.
