Had the interior of our house repainted. It required all the audio/visual be disconnected. Hired the. Geek Squad from Best Buy to reinstall. The technician reprogrammed the remotes and hooked up the equipment. He stated if you have any issues to call him. We had functions on the remotes that did not work. Called him twice with no call back. Called the Geek Squad. at Best Buy in Destin and explained the issue. We were told if we wanted additional service we would have to pay again. Requested to speak to a manager. Was told he would call the following day. Did not receive a call back. It is obvious that the Geek Squad and Best Buy to not stand behind their service. Buyer beware: You might think about purchasing installation with Best Buy in Destin. They will call you two hours before they are supposed to arrive and cancel and when they reschedule they will not show up. The delivery team will come and drop off equipment when you believe that the installation crew is finally coming to install the equipment.  Yes, this has been my experience with Best Buy in Destin. I just don't believe this is how you treat a long term customer that has paid to be part of their special club. Well any customer for that matter.  I told the delivery guys to take the product back where they got it and I will cancel my membership and get a refund on the equipment I purchased from them. The degree of communication and the apathy for the customer leads me to find a different company to supply my electronics and appliance needs. Seriously, think twice before using this company. The worse customer experience I have ever experienced. First time made an appointment and waited for an hour. Nobody acknowledged me or checked me in. Yok was to busy to notice I was there. Finally left. Called second time to make sure my appointment would be honored. I was reassured yes. I needed data transfer from old laptop to new (purchased from Best Buy). I made it clear when I made the appointment I needed transfer same day as I need my laptop for work. Once again, I was reassured no problem. I came in at designated time slot and again, Yok didn't acknowledge me or check me in. After waiting 20 min she finally had time for me, even though I had an appointment. She said standard turn around was a WEEK. Who can afford to give up both old and new laptop for a week? I had to leave to figure it out myself. Mind you I am a Geek Squad members for YEARS. Cancelling that subscription pronto. What a waste. I had to leave (once again). Very pathetically managed. Yok is horrible at customer service. Just horrible. read more

Apple says Best Buy is an Apple Authorized Service Provider that can replace your Apple Watch battery. I even called Best Buy to make sure that the Destin location could perform this service. My wife went to the Destin Best Buy store and was told by a young man that they could not replace Apple Watch batteries and that she would need to buy a new Apple Watch. That is just so sad that either the employee simply didn't want to be bothered with the request or was so uneducated in his employers services that he mistakenly thought they did not provide this service either way we're not happy and I plan to file a complaint with Best Buy and we'll get the battery replaced at the Apple Store when we are in Atlanta. read more

Best Buy has failed to deliver and install the LG TV we purchased from them for the second time in almost a month. The first time they didn't have the set available on the delivery date. The second time they didn't have a Geek Squad team to complete the process. So now we are scheduled a third time. We will have manipulated our schedules for the third time to accommodate the delivery. The first one is on us, the last two should never have to have occurred. This appears to be managed from their Customer Service department in the Philippines. Their isn't any local accountability or contact. Why should we continue to be Best Buy customers? read more

You will be disappointed if you try to call their phone number no answerand no reply to voicemail, sad, no communication by phone, online or messaging even with over days of trying and so frustration abounds.You must go to the store before a purchase and again after your purchase to have any communication. If with a miracle you actually get to a Geek Squad member several of them were helpful after my purchase but then no way for communication with them or anyone afterward unless you go back to the store and then that is not certain. read more

My compliment for the Best Buy Company is not related to a particular site. It is a compliment for the Total Tech Program that Best Buy offers. This program offers several services to its customers, but the Total Tech support of computers and other devices is superb. It is a reasonably priced service with an outstanding value. The technicians are extremely knowledgeable of the various software programs for the devices they service. They also have the anti-virus tools and other electronic clean-up tools that assist in the performance of their tasks. Their customer service attitude is well above their competitors. Chris and Matt who installs radios was nothing but professional and very informative as to letting me know how the process works and constant updates on my install. I was unsure of what radio to get until I talked to Chris. He gave me a great recommendation and also why he chose this radio. After the install I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend Chris and Matt the install section for all installs and if you have questions about your system they are definitely the person to ask. Chris also explained to me about satellite vs data and the amount of money I can now same with XM not to mention I notice a difference in clarity now that I am just streaming on my phone. Bottom line if you're not sure get with Chris and Matt about his recommendations for your system. Also he is very OCD and will not be satisfied until the install he is doing is to his satisfaction. It was a bit upsetting, after driving to store on Sunday to find their count was off, Their website showed more than 4 in stock, I ordered the mouse instead of buying a different, more costly mouse. The salesperson set up FREE delivery and it took a few extra days. The old mouse still has some life in it, but truely love the newer quiet mouse. As I always say, "The world is in a RUSH, I am not". I had already ordered a radio and speakers for my 06 Tundra. A few day's later Chris Viera calls me about the installation date and time ect. and Thankfully he asked me what I would like from the system. I said I would like to have more bass ,Bluetooth basically update the truck. So he recommended a different system entirely around the same price range. He then returned my previous order (refund) and reordered what I needed !! WOW !!!! What a relief to me. I no know nothing about tech these days. So I show up on the install day Chris goes over what's going to happen during the day. He also recommended a backup camera and the sound suppression inside all 4 doors. I had a horrible NO-customer service issue today, June 11, 2021. My BestBuy Elite Plus member and have been for years, meaning I have bought 10's of thousands of dollars worth of equipment from Best Buy over the years. On most of the items I buy the extended geek squad warranty. So for the first time ever I need to have a product repaired, which in my opinion I is already paid for when I bought the warranty. Long story short the system of "do you have an appointment ?" is laughable... of course I do... because I made the appointment when I bought the extended warranty. Rather than that being the case I was told by 3 different levels of no-customer service, I need an appointment to drop the item off to have it repaired. Seriously... I'm not asking you to repair it while I wait, just allow me to drop it off. Blake the manager even had the where with all to tell me he was there to provide "the most excellent customer service". Nice guy, but misinformed, the most excellent customer service is when the customer leaves satisfied... not frustrated. In addition I was there to buy a keyboard and mouse for a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet, and two new IPhone 12 Pro Max. Believe it or not... I went to to counter at the back of the store the no-customer service employee looks at me and says how can I help you? I say I need to buy a keyboard and mouse he says " do you have an appointment?". I respond with I wasn't aware I needed an appointment to buy items. At this point even a fiercely loyal MyBestBuy Elite Plus member has had enough. I have already ordered my keyboard and mouse from Amazon and have already purchased to two IPhone 12 Pro Max from the Verizon in Niceville. Golly gee Batman neither of them asked me if I had an appointment, they just took my money!!! It must be nice to not need customers that typically spend $3-4 K with you annually... good luck with your new and improved "do you have an appointment" business model. Update: Two stars instead of One as previously reviewed. After speaking with the general manager, Sean, I was granted permission to drop off my damaged product without an appointment. It took less than 5 minutes to drop off the product and receive a Service Order Claim Check. My question still remains, why in the heck didn't Blake the "I'm here to provide the most excellent customer service", manager on duty take the damaged item? Located across the street from The Destin Commons. Basic Best Buy merchandise. Absolutely amazing employees. We've come to love this location because we know we will have a positive experience. Thank you to Blake and Keith for the awesome Samsung tv. Seems like a smaller Best Buy location but sells most of the key Best Buy items. The website, of course, has a much larger selection so make sure to check for items that are in the store. We had a positive experience in this store. Purchased an Epson printer a month ago which we used 2-3 times but have had challenges with it scanning. We wanted to exchange it for a better model. The return policy is only good for the first 15 standard day policy. But some items such as phones have only 14 days to return or exchange. Since we were over the 15 days, we were lucky they exchanged the printer for us. A huge THANK YOU to the customer service people for recognizing our needs and allowing us to get a pricier printer that fitted our needs. We also purchased a two year warranty for $10, which is worth it. Our awesome customer service rep recommended this and she was right. We found employees to be helpful and always friendly. I'd recommend singing up for Best Buy rewards so they can keep track of your purchases. We buy everything here. read more

Ordered a 75 inch TV to be delivered on the 11th of March. 11th came and went. We called on the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and got the same answer every day. We will call you within 24 hours to reschedule. Twice we were put on the cue to be called back by the store but have never received a call. Customer service is friendly but not helpful. I purchased a TV. After installing it and turning it on, it had a 3" wide vertical black line running down the middle of the screen. The next day I returned to Best Buy to tell them about the problem. The Best Buy manager told me to return it for replacement. I told him I'm an old man and can't take it off the wall, pack it up and bring it back. He said OK we'll take care of it. He arranged for the Geek Squad to bring the replacement TV to my house, install it and take away the first TV. This is the best service I could ever ask for. I had A new MacBook Pro and it failed during installation. They said that they would run a diagnostic. So no phone call to let me know it was done. I stopped by the next day and it was set up with user "owner." Here ya go. So I have a new MacBook which now boots but I have no idea what is set up on the new machine. Someone is always there to help. Not overbearing to the customers browsing and they're great about helping me to price match. Almost perfect most times However, The Geek Squad at this DESTIN Best Buy is extremely lacking with knowledgeable electronics know how's. Although, the geek squad there is very kind and smiley,I have never had a successful result with them. Two years ago I was going to buy the iPad Pro. The store was totally empty with shoppers. This review is based on two mobile order pickups at the Destin location. Three stars based on the easy online ordering, which is likely more Best Buy 'corporate' than the local store. One or zero stars for the customer service at the location. Please note I only went to the registers to pickup what I had already ordered online. Both times I went - one time in September and again in December - pickup was in the morning, so the store was not busy. Both times I was the only person on the line and both times I had to interrupt (this time several times) the person who was on their phone. Both times they scanned my bar code and literally said nothing to me - I have learned to stop myself from filling the silence and just let it sit. Both times they didn't ask for any ID, but the order was correct so.... The prices for the TVs I bought were better at this location, so I returned, but it is almost worth paying a bit more for human contact. You don't need to be a cheerleader, just say hello, good morning, I hate you and this job, etc... I'm learning to vote economically and spend my money where I feel there is some value placed on my patronage. If you don't care about your customers, they can literally go across the street and spend $20 more and feel like they are appreciated. Lesson (finally) learned. read more
