Worst experience at a BestBuy I've ever had. I have been scammed out of an iMac mini from this location. The middle eastern guy "helping" us was acting fishy the entire time. He would act irritated and by the time we asked for the item we wanted he took an eternity to bring the product. Once received we noticed the box was not in OEM condition but didn't think too much of it, came to be that my gut feeling was right and the item was not inside and instead was a bunch of random metals. I talked with Sienna, Amy, Michael and Krystal. They were so helpful during the quarantine. The customer service was amazing. They made sure everything got delivered to my door step. I bought an open box item and the remote was missing. Amy found a remote for me and said we could deliver it or I could come by to pick it up. I drove there and she came out to curbside to give it to me. I could not ask for better service. They explained things, told me how I could take advantage of deals that were currently ongoing to save money and just simply went out of their way to help. Came in to get a screen replaced and to buy a case. Was greeted then was asked if i needed help. I said yes. The associate then proceeded to tell me it was going to be 25-30 min before he could help me. He then gave me the run around with what i needed saying i hadn't purchased the screen protector there. Made me feel like a real criminal. Then i walked around and felt like the associates were just following me. I am a BEST BUY member but felt profiled at this location. If you check out Best Buys low reviews I can tell you first hand why they are so low!! I bought a Mac Pro, I also bought the support, etc. Not cheap! But I was willing to do it for the "service" That is the first mistake! I scheduled for the Geek Squad to come set it up and transfer all my business from my one computer to the new one. I took the morning off from work. My appointment was between 7-1. I called as instructed by the sales rep. to confirm delivery and get a better idea at the time. The night before they told me 9:15am I was the 2nd on the list. I recalled the day of and was also told I was the 2nd and it was still looking to be 9:15am Then they didn't come so I called the driver and he informed me he put two other people in front of me??? He also told me that he makes his "own" timeline and not the store? He said he was also going to run late so it could be after One, he was not sure. WTH!! I called the store to reschedule and complain, I was transferred to 3 different people over a 45 minute period to finally get a rude ass woman who told me she could not transfer me to the supervisor because she worked from home, and she said " I'm also out of the country" so to bad "again WTH" So I called back the store went through another 25 minutes of prompts to find a man who rescheduled me to a Saturday several weeks out. NO the crap did not end there! The following Monday I get an automated call telling me to call the store to reschedule my missed appointment??? I call and the rude fool I was was talking to said I did NOT have a appointment and now I'm another 3 weeks out!!! Today I'm taking all back and telling them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine!! Just left Best Buy in Dublin. They had a demo audio rack I wanted to buy. A nice older Asian gentleman was helping me. It was originally $250, reduced to $99. The salesman needed a manager override to give me the sale price. The manager of magnolia came over and immediately started belittling the salesman. "I can't do that. How many do we have in stock? Is there a license plate on it? (Whatever that means.)." Middle aged, heavy set guy with reddish hair. After about two minutes I became so uncomfortable listening to this manager clearly bully his employee that I said "you know what? Never mind." The manager just walked away with a nasty look on his face and didn't say a word. First time in a Best Buy since the pandemic started. I won't be back. read more

I bought 2 new iPad Air 11" this weekend for $1110 at the Dublin,CA location. I showed the sales rep my old iPads and iPens, and was told that my old iPens would work with the new iPads I had just bought, but they didn't. I brought the iPads back to closest Best Buy to me in Milpitas, CA, and told the manager (Megan) what happened, but she basically said that she would make a note of that and write them an email, but she refused to call the location to speak to the manager there. I expected her to help me to purchase 2 new iPen, and for the inconvenience, hopefully at a discount. But because of lack of customer service, I returned both brand new iPads. I would've expected after spending over $1100, I would have received better customer service and not to be lied to in the first place just to make a sale. The customer service from both stores, the Milpitas and Dublin locations was horrible. I don't like being lied to just to make the sale. Their sales rep needs to have more knowledge about their product so the don't give wrong information. Managers are suppose to be more helpful and go the extra mile. The Manager (Megan) at the Milpitas location Wasn't helpful at all. I even called their customer service line to file a complaint. This is why I'm giving Bestbuy this rating. read more

Went into store and purchased printer ( not a cheap one). Salesperson was excellent and informative. While there, inquired as to why my phone case that I purchased 4 months ago at $80... had changed colors. I ask to have it replaced. Answer was "no", its been more than 15 days. I contact the " corporate " customer service and was greeted by the most RUDE and ugly personality. I posed the same question to her. No consumer appreciation AT ALL. So I ask a second question. I ask if the $400 printer I just purchased crashes in 15 days, if I get any assistance with it. Answer was flat, " Only if you purchased an extended warranty". Then she promptly hung up the phone. This was Best Buy CORPORATE representation. I will return this printer promptly and spend my money where I can at least receive courteous assistance. WORST buy!! read more

MUST SEE JERAMEY IN MOBILE SERVICES! I'd like to give Jeramey a BIG shout out for his customer service. The story goes like this... my wife and I planned to swap out Samsung Galaxy G9 and G10 for the G21 standard. Jeramey educated us about the kick backs/promos Best Buy had with trade-in value for my G9 if I considered the G21 Ultra vs. the G21. He had my attention. After testing him on the benefits of G9 vs. G21 vs. G21 Ultra, I was sold mainly due to the savings in my situation (common sense), camera and battery differences regardless of the overall size being bigger with the G21 Ultra. Not a fan but pros outweighed the cons. No pushy sales approach or tactics he had, simply facts and full transparency to benefit the customer. I appreciate that as I was a GM in big box retail for many years. I also understand commission is not a factor and that the team members get a bonus if they store makes sales. That I respect as a collective team effort. I actually wanted him to get some sort of incentive due to his patience, knowledge and support provided to us. Regardless, at a minimum, I hope that he is acknowledged in front of leadership, his team and peers not to mention placing this in his performance review file. Keep him around, he's a good one. Kudos to Jeramey for a job well done making me more excited than I was to begin with! Not to discount the better half of me but he supported my wife in her transition as well but unfortunately the pink G21 Ultra was not in stock therefore we'll be back on 2/4 for it. HEADS UP: As of Nov 14 there is no in-store shopping due to renovation. You tell the workers out front what you want to buy and they will get it for you. Even with no in-store shopping I still was able to get what I was looking for. May actually be a positive because I wasn't able to browse and buy things I didn't need. read more

My real only brick and mortar that I get most of my electronics, music and movies besides target. Customer service is usually nice and will usually offer assistance. I'll admit sometimes it can be hard tracking one down for the designated area but it happens. I never have had any major complaints dealing with returns or purchases. read more

Lowest score possible as Best Buy failed at every level in every category of retail. Ultimately, I was unable to make my purchase and they did not care. I walked into Beat Buy at 1045a and was quickly acknowledged by Nima. I told Nima I found an iPhone 6 Plus online showing one in stock in his store. After being told by Nima twice I was wrong they don't have it, he was able to locate it after I showed him on my phone that it existed. After 45 minutes, in which time he charged me the payoff balance for the phone I was upgrading and showing the price online for the 6 plus was $50 cheaper than the store price, he sought help three times from other members. Advancing no further, Jalyn attempted to assist him, but was very clear it was not their fault and I would need to be patient. I instructed Nima 30 minutes into the process I lived 30 minutes away, had my kids' sports to attend to and needed to speed up the process. At the hour mark, Amber the supervisor, took over and attempted another work around. I instructed her it had been an hour and I thought it was fairly ridiculous I was trying to give them money and take merchandise from them, as was the supposed business model. She, also, informed me this was not her fault and I'd have to be patient as they were in the middle of switching systems. At the 90 minute mark, I notified Amber I could waste no more time in her store. She gave no indication that it mattered to her and I walked out. My goal for the remainder of the week is to make sure I have 25 personal conversations to friends and family dissuading people from patronizing the Dublin, CA Best Buy. read more

DO NOT SHOP AT BEST BUY - DUBLIN, CA!!!! POOR PRODUCTS, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EVEN WORSE MANAGEMENT. THEY LOST OUR BUSINESS!!! Absolutely furious right now after trying to resolve an issue with manager, "Elena A". It is difficult to explain a short version of all that has gone on but thanks to a lack of customer service skills from this manager, Best Buy has officially lost our business (we've spent upwards of $20k at BB over the years). The story: Purchased 2 computers in February 2019....one wouldn't work out of the box, got another the next day. Then that one started acting up and went dark (after 3 months). I opted to upgrade the hard drive to solid state and merely asked that after 5 trips to the store and many hours on the phone to fix this thing, that they give me a $140 credit to cover the Geek Squad cost to re-load the operating system on the new disk. Nope, she wasn't going to do anything for me...she flat out said that to me!!! I spent $2,500.00 here on 2 computers and this is how they treat their customer!!!! Oh and they "gave me $75 off hard drive" turned out it was overpriced $150! (their list = $429.99 and exact same one on Amazon = $296.69!!! Ripping me off, selling me faulty stuff and managers who are not trained how to retain repeat business. So, for a poor choice by the manager, they have lost our business. Over $140. Not a good move. I plan to call corporate, I am not done with this as I intend to get a credit back (or next I file a grievance with my credit card). They are not done with me yet, just so angry right now. He would not notify us after he retrieved the oven and just left it on the table. his attitude was like we bothered him and we were not worthy of his time. we were a loyal Best-buy customer. Went here during the heatwave thinking I could buy a $400 Dyson fan. I knew every $20 box fan would be sold out at Walmart and target for a 50 mile radius and this would be my chance to justify my purchase of an outrageous waste of money. Had no such luck as all the Dyson fans were sold out. Got me thinking about how prepared we are as humans. How prepared is the manager of these stores in thinking ahead and stocking items that would be predicted to sell out? Walmart prides itself on the software it uses to re order and re stock and predict consumer shopping patterns.. Hmmm maybe we could all take a lesson from them. Gets me also thinking about an earthquake or other natural disaster. How prepared would we be for that? Who has even 20 gallons of extra water stashed somewhere?? Other than my recent visit, I purchased my last laptop here too about a year ago. Its doing well. I remember the restocking fee was good or at no cost. Don't remember becuase I didn't use it but I remember thinking that big purchases would be best done here because of their customer service. Friendly people work here too. As you walk through they are helpful but not at all pushy. The manager of this store did particularly well in helping guide sales people in interacting with customers. Good store. We purchased a $3000 KitchenAid Refrigerator a little less that 3 years ago. It completely stopped working. ( Less than 3 years ???What's up with that ? ) I guess that's what we get for not having anything made in America anymore. But this part of it isn't Best Buys fault - here's where the problem begins ..... We called for service - an appointment was given, one week out on 3/26- ( ugh, one week without a Refrig. ). THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP - no email - no voicemail - they just didn't come. We called - they said they were busy - would re-schedule for 3/28. THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP AGAIN. They said there was a scheduling mix-up. We wasted 2 days off of work. New appointment set - 4/2 ( over 2 weeks -no refrig. ). Best experience ever with Chase and Cooper in the mobile department. Cooper has been extraordinary from my first visit about 6 months ago when I was shopping for a laptop for my boyfriend. He always makes me feel at ease and is willing to help me find the best solution. Today, Chase provided me with exceptional service when I came in for a simple screen protector install. He checked to see when I purchased my original one and refunded me for the unit I had bought today (since my initial purchase was covered under warranty) and then installed it perfectly. read more

My husband and i were looking for a new tv and WOW, this absolutely customer oriented sales rep was phenomenal. He is the Yoda of electronics. We had to come back a few times because we kept changing our minds about what type of tv we wanted and Coby was VERY patient and kind. I believe Best Buy has farmed out its call center to Latin America in order to save costs. The call center agents are not trained well for their scheduling system and can't speak English well. It took many attempts to schedule an appliance installation and then repair. Installation personnel also did not tighten gas line to dryer and caused a gas leak. Not sure what happened to Best Buy, but this is not Covid related. They should retain American jobs rather than shipping jobs overseas especially now. Very disappointing. read more

I wish it was possible to give negative stars. We purchased an expensive dishwasher from them. They installed it, but we still had problems, so they came out and fixed it. To appease us, they offered us $175 in gift cards. That's when the fun began (let me clarify -- this was all over the phone and chat; I did not go into the store due to the pandemic). Two and a half months later, we have not received the gift cards. They allegedly mailed them, but we did not receive them. After numerous calls and chats, I have just given up on ever seeing those gift cards. In dealing with customer service, I ran into telephone trees where it was impossible to get a real person, I was hung up on multiple times and sent around in circles. They always tried to empathize, but no one could actually take any action. And the empathy seemed fake, like they were following a script. This should have been an easy problem to solve -- just reissue the gift card. But no, they wouldn't do that. I'd hate to see what happens with a more complicated problem. And why were they sending me a gift card in the mail in the first place; why not just send me an e-gift card? This is 2021, not 1991. read more

A CULTURE of poor service. The bad behavior and lack of customer service was apparent from the managers to the associates. Each member of each department clearly hates working for Best Buy and, I am convinced, they've collectively decided to take it out on the customers. The answer to most questions will be "I don't know" and most people you approach will deflect and attempt to tell you it's not their responsibility. One of the guys whose job it was to assist with bringing out large items for customers decided to lift the 75" TV that I just purchased out into the curb ON HIS BACK (without a dolly). He then proceeded to slide it off his back and onto the pavement until our truck arrived. This is just one example of the incompetence exemplified by the people working here. It is a CULTURE of bad service, bad behavior, and a complete absence of "giving a s***" about the customer. read more

This had to the most irritating and ridiculous experience i have had with a curbside pick-up. They had employees with a cart filled with products. I was in spot 12. The employees would walk up to maybe #5 and call out your name. They would be approached by an individual and they would sort through the items and hand them an item and then walk back into the store without walking to where you are parked. I was there for 2 hours watching this happen. I had to have my passenger go into the store and actually get the item. There is absolutely no structure or management supervising them. I wonder how many products have been handed out to incorrect people. Get with the program. read more
