In a world of online retail, they're competing with Amazon, B&H, New Egg, etc. these store layout experiments must have something to do with big data research on demographics and median income for that location--because the Best Buy store in North Fort Worth sells a dramatically different selection of electronics. We used Pacific Sales over the past several years and will not continue business with the company. We purchased a dish washer over Memorial Day weekend, 5/30/16, and took advantage of the sales tax discount. The delivery was set for Jun 8th. On 6/1/16 the delivery date was changed to 6/9/16. At 4 pm CST we called to ask for delivery status on 6/9/16, we were told vehicle issues were the reason for non delivery. After calling Pacific Sales, we were notified the last unit was delivered on 6/8 and we would have to wait for another shipment to arrive. We were deceived by the delivery company. No phone call re notification was made or received. No shipment status call was made and we cancelled plans to wait for "delivery" of our order. read more

I tried several times this afternoon and evening to purchase an iPhone 6S / Verizon plan on Bestbuy.com. Every time I attempted to checkout the site kicked me back to entering my current phone and and account numbers. Then it told me to call an 877 number regarding the order. Customer service at the 877 number said I had to go to the physical store to sign up for a new contract under the terms of the sale. At the Grapevine store, the Best Buy / Verizon rep told me I did not qualify for the plan as a first time customer. At no time did the website or customer service rep indicate there was an issue with begin a first time customer. In fact I was was asked if I was transferring carriers during the checkout process. This has been a remarkable waste of time to save $100 on a phone that evidently they won't let me purchase and I will never attempt to buy from Best Buy again. Oh... I called customer service and was told I could speak to a supervisor. After 45 minutes on hold I get some guy who is anything but on the line and he tells me there's not a supervisor around to speak to. Then he tried to transfer me to mobile phone sales. :/ read more

I took my German car in to find a subwoofer replacement. The first gent I spoke with was very knowledgeable but I needed to find some part numbers to get a suitable replacement. When I went back, he wasn't there so another helped, sort of. We set an appointment, found what he thought was the correct part of which I could have bought on Amazon or through BB for a bit more. I chose the latter so in case it didn't work, I wouldn't have to return. When I went in for my appointment, the knowledgeable one was there and informed me the part was never ordered. So after taking off of work, I was left with no solution. I have upgraded multiple auto systems at BB, but won't be going back in the future. No follow up from BB or second gent. Bad Customer Service. And I understand it isn't the first time this has happened with the second one. read more

Beware of the Magnolia department at this Grapevine location - totally lack of oversight and integrity! They are commissioned based - which is fine if the customer follow up is kept in play. I have interacted with three of the sales associates - Primarily Ross - very very unprofessional. I have had several positive experiences with BB but Not here at Magnolia. Came here from Arlington to buy a 44mm, black loop band Apple Watch series 4. It said it was in stock on line and I even called to double check about it. They said that they couldn't hold it for me unless I purchased it online which is completely understandable. I show up and let whoever was working the Apple area know what I wanted. He then proceeded to tell me that they don't sell Apple watches with the black loop band that comes in the box and I would have to buy it separate for an additional $50. Do not purchase anything from Best Buy online (and most likely from inside the store either, based on their customer service) ever. Finally managed to get an RTX 3080 order in on the 9th of February, and they supposedly "shipped" it through UPS ground (great job picking the absolute bottom of the barrel, cheapest delivery method) and now it is stuck "in transit". I have made 6+ phone calls across the best buy phone number and the best buy.com phone number (odd that they have separate entities), I have two cases and three tickets on this item, all of which they have just left unchecked or serviced, and every phone call is "it will be escalated." Where it gets escalated to is anyone's guess because it is now the 25th and this order will "auto-cancel" on the 27th. They are unwilling to extend the auto-cancel date to actually resolve this issue, nor will they get a ticket rolling with UPS (which recommended me to start one when I got a hold of them to try to figure out where this order "disappeared" to. Their customer service has absolutely zero ability to accomplish anything without contacting the "help desk." If you order anything high dollar or difficult to get, expect it to just "disappear", or become "lost" in-transit. read more

They wouldn't refund my purchase because it was past their 15-day return policy. The Charge 2 is still a new product and the box was unopened. Beware the wireless team when returning your wireless phone. With Verizon and I purchased my phone on the first of September and brought it back to return the 15th of September. The rep in best buy Mobil proceeded to tell me I was passed the 14 day period and I couldn't return the phone. I then called Verizon customer service and they confirmed I was still eligible to return so I handed the phone to the rep. He then argues with customer service and about 30 min later I finally was able to get them to return the phone and everything went through fine. Refrigerator a day late, delivery team lied to say they stopped by my house and my underage son answered the door, to young to sign for it so they left. My son is 3, he can't even open our iron door, not to mention I called the delivery guy a dozen times checking on his status, no answer. They lied. Day two I had to call to find out when they were coming to deliver the Fridge, when they finally arrived, brought the fridge in and left. I was honestly surprised by this Best Buy. In most Best Buy locations the staff tends to be less than helpful, tending to push more expensive products along with extended warranties, service contracts, and even magazine subscriptions, Because of this I normally avoid Best Buy like the plague. I had the opportunity to use this Best Buy yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised. I had to replace a damaged PC keyboard. I found the one I wanted and Best Buy had it on sale at my local store. I normally avoid Best Buy, but the price was a good $10 cheaper than the next closest store that had it, and that other store was 12 miles away in heavy traffic. So off I went. When I got there I couldn't find it. It wasn't with the PC hardware, it wasn't with the rest of the keyboards, so I approached a clerk. The clerk couldn't find it so he went back to check with one of their inventory guys. He came back, keyboard in hand, in less than 5 minutes. While I was waiting on him I found an iPhone 5 that someone had left at his register. When I showed it to him he asked if I'd be willing to wait a second, and when I said I would he literally RAN out into the parking lot to see if he could find the person who lost it. He did, then ran back into the store to finish the transaction. Let me repeat that. He left in a dead run to return someone's expensive bit of electronica, then returned in a dead run to finish the sale. He was out of breath when he got back, but said nothing more than a "Thanks for waiting" while he finished my transaction. He didn't try to upsell me, he didn't try to give me a magazine subscription, he didn't try to push me on a rewards card after I told him I wasn't interested, and he didn't try to tell me how important an extended warranty was. It was THE MOST PLEASANT experience I've had at a Best Buy in over a decade. It may just be because of the Christmas season, but staff were everywhere. Nobody seemed to be overly pushy, every seemed to be getting any and all of the service they needed, and the rest of the customers actually seemed...pleased. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the simple fact that the keyboard I was looking for was nowhere near the PC equipment. All in all I was quite happy. read more

Recently had a whole house audio system installed using Savant technology and the system has been glitchy ever since install. The technical support is fragmented at best as I am instructed to call the salesman or text the technician and response can be days or weeks before anyone comes out. System is poor and service is poor. The Magnolia team tells me they have it installed in "hundreds" of homes and does well... My advice is to run from this system and find another vendor to meet your home audio / visual needs. I have requested the system be removed. read more
