We had possibly the most horrendous experience we've ever had with ANY kind of business, retail or otherwise. It was certainly the most execrable in recent memory. They may be nice people, but they are thoroughly worthless at conducting business in anything approaching a professional manner. Here's the account of our nightmare with them: My wife dropped in on a Wednesday and talked with Hyrack (that's the phonetic spelling, may not be the actual) about switching our, her parents', and our daughter's accounts to Verizon. He quoted her rates. We all decided it sounded good, so the following Friday my wife, her folks (in their mid-80's), and I arrived at 10:00 a.m. to get our new phones and start our new service. Ali, probably in his mid 20's, showed up 15 minutes late to open the store. That's when we learned that they don't keep phones in stock, they have to order them. It's also when I glanced up on the wall and saw the pale "Authorized Dealer" emblem. My wife hadn't noticed this. We were disappointed, but we ordered our phones as well as the phone for our daughter who lives in Waxahachie, and agreed that we'd verify that our phones would arrive the following Tuesday and then all meet there Tuesday afternoon to pick them up and start our service with Verizon. The one detail on which these characters did follow through was in sending us the tracking numbers for our phones, so on Tuesday afternoon after we'd ascertained that the phones had arrived we all five met at the store at 5:00 p.m. Our daughter, our son in law, and their three children drove up from Waxahachie. Things immediately started going south. First, we learned that Ali was off that day. So, Hyrack (we presume he's the on-site manager) instructed a nice enough young guy named Ron to take care of us. It was difficult to tell if Ron was new and inexperienced or justly sublimely unmotivated. After about fifteen minutes he retrieved our phones from the back. He pecked at the computer a little. The five of us sat in front of him patiently waiting for the show to get going. A couple of times he asked Hyrack a question, but it was clear Hyrack didn't want to be bothered with us and wanted to be free to help other customers. Twice, Ron just got up and sauntered over to another customer who'd walked in with out so much as an "Excuse me for a minute" or "I'll be right back." (We learned later that these guys work on commission, so he was doubtlessly hoping to snag a quick scalp on a charger sale or something.) We became increasingly confused about why he didn't seem to want to drill down and get our deal done. My wife's an angel, but even she began to get agitated. Finally we suggested, "Would it help if we all go grab some dinner and give you time to get this done?" We kept one phone with us in case he might need to call. He said sure, that would be fine, and he suggested we come back at 8:00. This was odd because it was a two our span, and the store closes at 8:00. We verified that we'd be back then and that he would have our phones all set up and ready. He promised that yes, he would. We returned about 7:45. There were no other customers in the store. He immediately said, "I thought you were coming back at 8:00." Then we saw that our phones were still sitting on his desk in their unopened boxes! At this point it was everything we could do to maintain our composure. Our daughter burst out in tears. Here she had three little ones who were going to be getting to bed at only the good Lord knew what hour; they had an hour drive to get home, and Ron had just wasted three hours of our lives. I asked my family to step outside. I was calm and gentle as I asked Ron, "Is everything okay? I have to tell you, we're confused and disappointed. You promised to have our phones ready. What's going on?" That's when he explained that since Ali had written up our initial quote is was Ali's sale. Ron wasn't going to make anything off of helping us, and it was going to take him probably two hours to do all the work. He very calmly told me that he really wished we would just cancel our whole deal and save him all the trouble! I'm 65 years old, and I have never before had a sales person say something so selfish and insolent. And he was very calm and matter of fact as he said it! I turned to walk out. There was nothing for which to thank him since the only thing he'd done was provide us with an experience so incredibly inexcusable that I probably wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't happened to us. I'd suggest you STEER CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE!!! We learned from a corporate store with whom we ultimately dealt that their lease is nearly up and they may be relocating. With any mercy for the public welfare, they will just completely fold as a business entity. In reality they don't even deserve to be called that.

I have Apple Care and Verizon customer service said it would be at least 2 or 3 weeks before I could get my phone replaced. I went to the nearby Apple Store and they said they could repair the phone in a few hours after receiving the part. I went with Apple. [aside: if the phone can be repaired, I was told by the folks at Apple that the major carriers refer to them for warranty repairs anyway]. The only "problem" was that the repair required a new enclosure and logic board, so a brand new set of IMEI numbers and new serial number. I had to contact Verizon to reactivate the phone. The first woman from Verizon's customer service treated me like I was an idiot for having Apple do the work. She was condescending and rude and claimed I had replaced the phone without Verizon's authorization. By the time I get to Jessica, she noted the new IMEI numbers and reached out to her manager and another contact and had Verizon add the IMEI numbers to their network and got the phone working again. Jessica is the one who got it done, and she is - hands down - the best public-facing employee Verizon has and is the sole reason I didn't cancel my new contracts, return all phones and go with another carrier. Hopefully Verizon will read this and get with her to find out why she's so awesome and then train their other public-facing employees to be like Jessica.

Most everything is hands on so make sure you really get a feel for everything available, picking a phone you'll be saddled with for at least a year is a big decision. There's no pressure from the store reps. I've had awesome service with Verizon, no dropped calls, with lightning LTE speeds on the 4G network. Plans are a bit pricey but that's what you'd expect from the nation's largest network. Coming from AT&T I've noticed a huge lift in network stability and call quality. Do your homework before entering the store. Check for promotions or deals. Verizon is always running promos to bring in new customers.

Nicholas was assisting me but was quite obviously did not know what he was doing. I needed 2 personal lines and a business line. We liked the plan but the number for the bill was still more than ATT so we said we preferred not to switch. An assistant manager then stepped in, he took the paper quote I had and wrote a new number at the top-$124 w tax. We agree, start to sign up but wait for HOURs because nicholas has to keep restarting the process and eventually just hands it to assist manager. He gave us the wrong size phone twice but eventually we thought we had it figured out and he promised our phones would not turn off until our new ones were opened and activated with the Esim. As soon as we pull away our phones go SOS saying no signal, we circle back around and the store manager is there locking up. I work from home and my husband works at the military base and had formal the next day so we were not able to return the next day. The manager rolled his eyes when we flagged him down and flat out said "I just locked up, theres nothing I can do for you, go home and activate your esim" So we did, at 9pm with 4 young children having to spend 2 hours copying our old phones to our new one. Only to realize Nicholas STILL gave my husband the wrong size phone. We go Friday to the store and explain what happened and were promised we wouldnt be charged a restocking fee as it was their mix up. WE STILL WERE CHARGED. I also found out that my company was giving me a phone so I no longer needed my business line. I asked Nicholas THREE times in 3 separate ways if it was going to mess up my bill, my promotions or my buyout. He repeatedly told me NO it would just save me $40 on my bill. He then couldn't figure out how to return my phone and switch my husband's number to the BYOD phone. He chose an option and stated "we will just try this and pray it doesn't mess anything up" at this point, the assistant manager that assisted him 2 days prior overheard and left his customers to ask what he was doing. Upon looking he goes "NO don't do that, you would cancel his number out for good and he wouldn't be able to get it back" I then ask manager to be sure, three times in three separate ways, is this going to affect my bill, promotions or buyout? He ALSO told me no. I confirmed "so my new bill will just be about $40 less?" he said YES! A few weeks later I get a bill that is over $100 more than expected AND an email saying that the buyout for my husband's phone is INVALID. Upon talking to support (who, by the way was AMAZING, shout out to Michelle) I found out that because I traded in my phone, it caused each of my lines to go from $40 to $55, majority of the promotions they gave have dropped becaue I now only have 2 lines AND because my husband is using my old phone, he no longer has payments, making the buyout not available to him. I go up to the store Saturday, 9/13, I calmly explained everything to Nicholas, who tells me support informed me wrong and 'they never know what they are talking about" After waiting 40 minutes to talk to the store manager, i explained everything that happened. He listened, looked at Nicholas as if to verify and when he confirmed and said "thats crazy right? they shouldnt tell her that" the manager CONFIRMED that Nicholas screwed up, scolded him there in front of me. Without a word to me looked at my bill and agreed that he couldn't give me the original quote, even though I had it in front of me because I traded in the other line. He ACKNOWLEDGED THAT I WAS MISINFORMED, THAT HIS TEAM SCREWED UP, THAT I WAS LIED TO. when I asked him if he was really confirming that everything was right but your not going to do anything? his response?!?! "mmhmm" when I argued and interupted him ONE TIME he said "if you are going to interupt me, im going to ask that you leave my store" then proceeded to tell me never to come back!!!

This isn't my first time with this Verizon or maybe even my second, might've been my 3rd but all times i left unsatisfied, the first biggest issue was when I came to get a transfer pin and I spent 30 minutes up there trying to get it just to be told it was invalid. This time. they created an issue and made it worse by not having anyone communicate towards me via email or customer support bc i contacted them all the way through. I made 2 same day orders in a period of 4 days trying to order 2 different phones cases for the IPhone 16e, the first one I cancelled bc 2 days went by and they never processed the order so I assumed they were out of stock and I didn't feel like waiting any longer, keep in mind I called up there to make sure the order was processin. the 2nd order which I just picked up I had to contact customer service for the millionth time bc I've never had a store not process a order for pickup and they had to instruct me to go in person even though the store was not willing to process it for pickup and that annoyed me, what makes it worse is the idea that they had the case ready for pickup once I got there so they were just to lazy to go through the normal process. Nonetheless avoiding this Verizon at all cost at this point to many headaches for no reason, I see why they're rated the way they are now, i hope I never Have to conduct business with that store ever again.
