Went in to buy a game & they were sold so I ordered it & was told 5 days. They said they would call if sooner. 8 days later I called & was told it would be the next day. I went in the next day to pick it up & they didn't have it. I got one off the shelf but was told to come back tomorrow when my actual order came in! Stay away from this store! I will never shop here again. I purchased a new iPad mini last night. When I got home I discovered the lock button was defective and very loose. I went back to the store to swap it out for a new one today. That's when the trouble started. I had to speak with a very rude and inconsiderate manager named Sly. He informed me he would not switch it out because he did not think it was broken. He said that if he did his store would get charged for it. I am a My Best Buy Elite Plus customer and have been a reward zone silver customer for awhile. I spend a lot of money with this company. When I asked him if he was simply willing to loose a long time faithful customer over this, he looked at me and simply said yes. Now I am out $300 and stuck with an iPad that is defective. I am sorry to say I am never shopping with this store in grapevine TX or this company again. I told him I wanted something low priced and simple for a 2400 SF house. With only cable and Apple TV. He suggested a $13,000 system? WTF? The Best Buy itself is pretty average as far as stores go, but I have had a HORRIBLE experience buying from their in-store "Pacific Sales" department that sells the large home appliances. My husband and I bought a refrigerator a month an a half ago. Firstly, the whole reason we purchased the fridge at Best Buy was because there was a great sale if you used your Best Buy Reward Zone credit card. We told them about the sale we were there for, they ran the credit card for the full amount, but stupidly marked the purchase as "18 month financing" - which voided the sale price and extra reward points. We came back to the store when we noticed the problem, and they weren't able to just fix it or add the reward points - they had to do a return and re-purchase - which the credit card did not have enough of a limit to have a pending return and re-purchase (it would basically double the price of the fridge for a few days on the account). That was a huge hassle that didn't need to happen. If someone's paying the full price up front, DON'T MARK IT AS FINANCED IN YOUR SYSTEM! We had this exact same thing happen when we bought a TV at this same store a couple years ago. Why is financing the default option with large purchases? Even when we explicitly state we want to pay in full up front? When they delivered the refrigerator, the delivery men busted the water line. A repair man came out and fixed it. Two days later, it stopped cooling (turned out to be a manufacturer error, so not the store's fault and I don't blame them for that) so the repairman came back out to make another repair. At this point I decided to buy the extended warranty service plan thing that they push you to get in the store. I got my plan receipt and went home to make a "food loss" claim since I had to throw away all of my food. The 3rd party warranty/service company claimed that we were not in their system, and to email a scan of the purchase receipt. I did, and they just told me that they "are not the administrator of that service plan". I went back to Best Buy to ask what warranty I purchased, because the company in the pamphlet they gave me will not help me. The man vaguely answered the question and said sometimes their system doesn't make the purchase right, but I did indeed purchase that service plan in the pamphlet. He would call in the morning for me, and I should call them in a few days. I have now called back to the warranty/service company FOUR times in the past couple weeks, and each time they talk to me they tell me 1. my purchase is not in their system, 2. to fax/email the receipt, 3. call back in a few days. EACH TIME, the person who answers the phone cannot find me in their system and has no record of me, my fridge, or my previous phone calls, emails, and other troubles. I'm really at a loss of what to do for myself and my fridge. So I'm reaching out to Yelp customers: SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE! Stick to headphones and DVDs at this Best Buy, but don't step foot in the appliance department. It's not worth it - please instead go to a company that has their s*** together. read more

Excellent reliable service after the sale. I had a continuing problem that took some time to resolve with the replacement of a piece of equipment. They stood behind what they said they'd do, and provided excellent continuing service in a most professional manner. In dealing with their in house Magnolia Home Theater group it was like dealing with a local independent business group, not some big box retailer. Great people to work with, and good products. Manger was nice however do you go here to buy an expensive object with cash because your money will go missing cash moves through multiple hands at the same time. Purchased a TV and found that Magnolia employees are on commission where Best Buy employees are not. Same TV could be sold by Best Buy employee so it's not a high end TV. Magnolia charged $50 drop off when Best Buy is free. Sold us on a tv mount we did not need even after looking up the specifications of our existing mount we purchased from Best Buy years earlier. He sold us a Blu Ray player $40 more than advertised price. We got home and found out our mount was more than adequate for the new TV. He tried to sell us Apple TV after we explained it didn't stream Amazon. He said it did which it doesn't. Had to go back and request delivery fee reversal as well as request price match guarantee on player. We refused to buy Apple TV as I had googled it in the store to find out it doesn't stream Amazon. Beware of the black shirts and do business with those in the blue shirt. Will go and purchase on the internet moving forward. A business that cares more about themselves vs the consumer is doomed. read more

My husband and I went to Best Buy Addison's Magnolia store to purchase high-end speaker equipment and installation. For some reason, the guy there called Stephen Bucher who works here and had him sell it to us, we paid by credit card over the phone and were immediately charged the full price + installation (thousands of dollars) but they said they were giving us a deal. I got an emailed receipt same day, saying that he would send a scope of work by email for us to approve and then scheduling would start. 2 weeks later I still hadn't heard anything so I called, and they sent someone to look at the job site. After a short time there, the guy said a different mount was needed for the TV we wanted to mount (which my husband told them in the first place would be needed) and that it would take 3 weeks to order. A week or so later I still hadn't received the scope of work via email so replied to Stephen's original email saying I hadn't received it. He replied that he would have his project manager call me that day. 2 days later I still hadn't heard a peep. We found another company to price match and install, they came out on a Tuesday, can overnight everything, and install on Friday. I called Stephen to tell him to give us a refund. He didn't even ask why -- said he would do it later today. If you can't do the job, that is fine, but don't waste 3 weeks and not communicate at all. What did they expect? We would just pay thousands of dollars and wait months for them to contact us? read more

Don't buy cellphone protection at Best Buy! It's a RIP OFF! They will give you a REFURBISHED DEFECTIVE REPLACEMENT phone that will only work months after you receive it! Now that my protection plan has expired by 4 days and I have received no information that it was going to expire - BAM! They cannot help me! But it's ok to give me a DEFECTIVE REFURBISHED REPLACEMENT phone! I'm so frustrated as this is my business line and you can only hear calls by using the speaker phone! This is not acceptable customer service. I was on the phone with the Grapevine Geek Squad who referred me to the 1800 Geek Squad and said they can help you get a week extension on your protection plan. After another 40 minutes on the phone, she was trying to transfer me to another department and hung up on me. I called back and was transferred again to a Best Buy location. Another thirty-five minutes and the girl was trying to get me an extension for another replacement and it was a NO go. So I asked to speak to her manager who was very COLD and couldn't care less about her customer or the fact that they gave me a defective phone. She said I would have to buy a new phone. Really? Would you like me to write a review on Best Buy? She hung up on me! Case closed. I'm voicing my opinion and after buying all my TV's, washer & dryer, computers, and 4 iphones... BEST BUY has lost my business! Never have a bought insurance on any item I have purchased there and the one time I do - I'm screwed! ( Insurance for 4 iphones over a period of two years = $720) Well if I hadn't of paid you Best Buy for my insurance... I could go buy me a NEW iPhone!
