The employee at the pick up counter was seemingly busy with other activities like putting things away, organizing and chatting with other employees while making customers wait. The store is losing its luster these last few years / mostly in using substandard installation crews! Look at your reviews / DO something about it! Have bought 6 new appliances from BB and all have had bad experiences with delivery and install. Right now, sitting trying to get a new fridge installed that they delivered yesterday and then left because they "don't touch copper water lines". The line was disconnected! They knew nothing about putting in the new water line that they brought with them then said they couldn't finish and left. Left the old fridge sitting here and the new fridge not installed! Today the horrible CS says we have to wait a WEEK now / with no fridge!!!! Shd have gone to Nebraska Furniture Mart. Same horrible experiences with the install of our oven (which crapped out in a year) and microwave. Never again. read more

Super disappointed that my online Best Buy open box order of a Sony bluetooth turntable that was supposed to be in "Excellent - All Parts Included" condition arrived missing key parts and is unusable. I reach out to chat with a Best Buy "customer service" agent and Victor tells me I need to go into a Best Buy location to see if they have the parts my player is missing. What? I ordered this unit online and it was supposed to be in basically new condition with all of its parts. But now I have to make the situation correct? This is nonsense. I will never order open box again. Best Buy didn't take any accountability. The player is missing the lid and also some type of piece that covers the top of the player. When you open the box, you can see the guts. There is a diagram for assembly on the box, but no parts to be assembled. Product received not as described. Online chat service, awful. I would personally avoid this location in favor of Grapevine or Flower Mound. For whatever reason the staff here has been consistently unhelpful, cranky, and downright aggressive for the past 5 or more years. I remember once having a coupon, mind you that they sent me, for a hard drive. They refused to take it, acting as if it were some kind of forgery. It was 20% off any hard drive with the trade in of an electronic device. A gentleman that looked very familiar with methamphetamines ,from loss prevention, came out of his cubby hole to try and intimidate me. I assume at the behest of the store manager at the time, named Ramy or something of that nature, since he was having trouble containing the situation. There are open box and returned items carelessly piled up in all corners of the store, draped with ugly red stickers. Inventory is relatively low, and the store looks sparsely stocked. Somebody else also mentioned hateful and vitriolic service in the appliances section. I experienced the same thing when grabbing a clearance-open box washer and dryer set. I ended up just wheeling the items to the checkout line myself since the sales team there was unwilling to actually sell items. On my most recent visit there was a gentleman, I presume in some sort of management position, wearing booty shorts. Now he was relatively jovial and friendly, however I am just not sure that is appropriate attire when dealing with the public. I believe that will be my last visit as the decorum there resembles a middle school. read more

Car Audio Installation -- I have had four car stereos installed by TJ and Stephon at this location. Each time they have done a great job getting the installation just right. They provided expert advice when asked and they have always taken the time to listen to my concerns and question. They also taken the time after the installation to make sure that I understood how the new systems work. But in addition to doing great work, they have also demonstrated INTEGRITY, which is not too common nowadays. For example, Stephon was doing a rather involved installation on my Ford Flex. Both he and TJ had pointed out that they wouldn't know if my USB charging port in the Flex's center console would be able to plug into the new stereo until they got into the dash and saw if the charging cable was compatible. An hour later, I received a call from Stephon after he had taken the dash apart to say that the USB charging cable was compatible, but it was located in a very hard to reach place. He would have to remove the entire dash and one of the seats to reach it and doing so would double the wait time. He could instead drill a small hole under the radio and pass a new charging cable through there; it wouldn't look as nice, but it would be functional. Well, I knew that my wife would want that center console to work, so I asked Stephon to do the extra work, to which he simply replied, "Okay." I had just doubled Stephon's work time, yet no complaints and no objections. He could have called and said that the cable was incompatible with the new stereo and he wouldn't be able to hook it up. I wouldn't have known; I wasn't about to take apart my dash to see for myself. But, instead, Stephon gave me the option, even though it cost him three hours more work. Now, that's *integrity,* and it's why I'll keep going back to these guys. read more

I didn't want it delivered or installed and Frank, in the appliance section became very rude about it and said that "he doesn't know when someone will be able to have it ready for pick up." In a very angry and demeening voice. Then proceeded to harass me at the front counter when I decided to go up there and purchase it instead of dealing with him. I unfortunately did some business with the store in Lewisville. I purchased a low cost item that proved defective, I returned the item to the store requesting just a replacement, not a refund. The store clerk insisted on counting the day I purchased the item as part of the 15 day return policy. which violates the policy that is posted online, using their logic means the warranty would have ended the day before I brought it back, but even using that logic, since I was the second person in the store right after they opened it that morning, the warranty would have ended a few minutes ago. This gives you some insight into their customer care policy when it comes to defective products they sell. read more

Best Buy probably lost my business, at least the store in Lewisville Texas. I ordered a solid-state external drive that I needed. It wasn't something I needed immediately but wanted to get it as soon as possible. So I ordered one at Best Buy to pick up same day. I go into that location, as I have done several times in the recent past, and I was not wearing a mask. The store manager, I'm assuming, confronted me well within a 6 foot distance mind you, and said something about needing a mask. I was speaking to someone through my headphones at the time, and went to the men's room Before going to the store pick up area. I come back to that area and the person, named Armando, confronted me again (well within a 6 foot distance) and telling me all this junk about their policy and I have to wear a mask. The customer service rep at the store pick up scan by information, looked at my drivers license, and proceeded to give me my merchandise, all without attitude. Armando continued to talk to me, even though I asked him to quit. The customer service behind the register proceeded to give me my solid-state drive, but Armando took it from them and proceeded to walk out of the store with it. He refused to give me my purchase inside the store so that he could make a point to me. Armando, I will certainly complain to your superiors about How are you had your mask off at a point in time in that store (yes I saw you), how are you invading my personal space well within 6 feet, in fact was even closer to 1 1/2 feet, how are you continue to argue with me after I said I do not want to talk to you, and how you took my merchandise and refused to give it to me while I was in the store picking it up. read more

We have a 10 month old computer that has a hinge problem. We purchased the computer from the Lewisville store in August of 2020. It is only 10 months old. We took the computer into that same store today (7/9/21) for repair. The Geek Squad in the Lewisville store had on solution to the problem. Absolutely horrible experience. I had a car radio installed three weeks ago. I called to modify the system and was put on hold for over 30 minutes and finally transferred to Catranda Durden in the call center. I spent an hour almost on the phone with her explaining what audio equipment I need it installed and how I would like it done. She scheduled my appointment almost 2 weeks out from that date. She only scheduled me two hours of install time for a complete car alarm and radio modifications that are going to take an entire day to do. Now I have to come back in two more weeks. The guys that did the install did a great job. But, My Bluetooth doesn't work so I can't take calls in my car. With Covid going on and me doing a lot of work from my vehicle this is unacceptable. read more

I am a Best Buy customer and do not want to be forced to buy things online. I am also a top tear level customer. I spend thousands per year at Best Buy. This is one of the worst customer service store locations in the United States. Zero care when you go in if you are headed or not. Yesterday I went to the store in the afternoon. I went to Apple section of store and asked for help to just PURCHASE a customer. I stopped the first salesperson I could find 3 times for help over 20 to 30 minutes. I also asked a stock person . Both said people were on the way. When I finally gave up and went to leave store I let the very dazed and confused store manager know why I was leaving. With looking around he had instant lines of how busy must be. I was yes the 3 employees sitting playing their sell phones in entertainment area are very busy playing games on cell. ( they must share whatever they smoke with the blasted manager on duty) I then drove to the Lewisville location and purchased my second Mac in the last month. I have also bought multiple TV's this year from this location. Carson is one of the sales guys on the floor that has sold me everything this year. It is unfortunate that bad customer service is what has pushed the American Consumer to buy stuff online. As stores shut down and fold across the nation let me save you a bunch of money on paying for market research. Lack of customer service that forces consumers like me to purchase things from online outlets cost people jobs . These people appear to be very confident in their job security that the manager does not even look around to see if it was true or not. He was in "the zone". This is my first post ever on Yelp ! Buyer Beware! Terrible customer service! Missed a appliance delivery as the driver never rang the doorbell just knocked. We were in the back of the house and didn't hear the knock. We have 3 dogs and none of them barked...hmmmm? Called as soon as we received a phone call that we would be rescheduled. Requested for driver to put us to his last delivery of the day or to return same day. Seems that's not their policy. Hmmm? Called and spoke with delivery supervisor.Leslie and she was totally unhelpful! Apparently policy is policy and no one in the company for any reason change a delivery REALLY? I find it hard to believe that they can't call the driver to redeliver? This is a make or break deal for us. The driver made no real attempt to notify us he was here. Bad customer service,! May want to rethink using their "free" delivery especially if your taking time off from work and the delivery is missed. read more

This is one of the only locations I really go to but I have always had exceptional customer service here. I feel like they won't try to sell me on things just because I am a lady and may not know a lot about electronics.... but I do so don't try to trick me into buying things, ha! I have never had to look around for someone to help me, and if you are just browsing they let you do just that! I am the type of person that goes in doing all my research and may ask the sales people their opinion at the end, but I like to look at the items without someone hounding me. My husband and I were looking at the gaming keyboards and another customer had asked the staff for help and the worker that was helping them reached around me a few times and didn't apologize or say excuse me even after she kept shoving me and my husband away while we were trying to shop. The customer even got embarrassed and was apologizing but not once did the worker say anything. Just bought an apple laptop, mouse, and hyperdrive hub thing from this Best Buy. I like going to this Best Buy because there's always someone to greet you when you walk in. It's convenient to have someone at the front who you can just ask for a product and they'll either walk you to the isle themselves or point you in the right direction. I'm writing this post because I walked in this morning, and the kid at the front ended up explaining my Best Buy credit card to me (like how it works) much better than the lady on the phone did, and then helped me decided which apple model to get and the accessories for it. First off, he knew information about the models (as expected) but when he didn't know an answer to my question, he asked another associate instead of just making up a response. He was super friendly, very enthusiastic, and also realistic--he asked me what I would be using the laptop for, and didn't try to get me to buy something more expensive or ill-suited for my needs. The kicker is that this kid is only 17 years old. He knew all this information and has such fantastic social skills that I felt comfortable asking him more and more questions about the different models. Now I'm only 23 years old, so I'm still a kid myself. I'm not a huge tech person, but I'm part of the generation that knows a lot about it so I'm not clueless. You know how elderly people are always talking about how millennials know so much about technology, social media, etc...? Well I've never felt more like that in my life lol. This is the first time I got to experience it interacting with this sales guy. I was amazed at how much he knew off the top of his head, and how easygoing he was. Best Buy usually has great customer service, but I was blown away this time. And since the store wasn't too crowded this morning, there were a couple of other sales people who offered some of their input as well, which I found helpful. I hope they continue hiring more people like this (not necessarily young, but people who're as enthusiastic and knowledgeable as this kid is). Overall, awesome experience! Since he explained all the different models in terms of what features I personally would find most useful for my job/computer use, I walked away knowing I got the best help in picking out the correct model, and not feeling quite so guilty about having spent such a large sum of money :) read more

Today my sister and I went to Walmart to buy my dad a laptop for Fathers Day. Walmart didnt have it in stock so I said Lets look at Best Buy. My sister was looking online for deals and we found an AMAZING DEAL/SALE!! We went and there was only 2 left in stock (thats how good of a deal). It also came with free virus protector too lol. Okay I picked the worse location ever to move to. No good internet provider is here and no good cable service so I'm stuck to get a tv antenna. Went in to Best buy to buy a regular tv antenna and apparently I got the worse kind. It gave me only one channel. I went back twice already, each time switching out for a different antenna. All of them only give me one channel...sigh. Hopeless!!!! HOPELESS I TELL YOU!!!!!! First off, let me say that I've always been an avid Best Buy supporter. I have spent thousands (literally) of dollars purchasing electronics, game systems, appliances... you name it, I've probably bought it. And I've never had a complaint until now. I recently purchased 2 supposedly "waterproof" cases for my iPhones for a recent vacation to the beach. They were expensive, but I assumed that it would be well worth the investment to have security knowing my iPhone was protected. I followed all the directions, carefully sealed my case and tested it. Needless to say, the first time I took the case on the water the product failed and I ended up having to buy a new phone. While I was doing so at the apple store they mentioned that this is a fairly common occurrence with the Lifeproof cases (i.e. they see this a lot). Thank god I had purchased the apple protection plan and only ended up about $54 out of pocket. Needless to say, I was more than a little unhappy that I paid $70 for a piece of plastic that didn't work, however Lifeproof's warranty only applies to products bought directly from the manufacturer, so I went to this store with two simple requests. One, I wanted a refund for the defective case. And two, I requested some in-store credit (note: I did NOT say cash) to offset the costs I paid getting a new phone. Refund, no biggie. But the Best Buy manager refused to entertain any option of store credit. Keep in mind they carried this worthless product on their shelves. They sold me the case and because I've had such good success with their stuff before I assumed it was going to work. Needless to say, if you're going to haggle with me over 50 bucks when I've spent thousands of dollars at your store, I can easily take my business elsewhere. read more

i like this best buy because they have more electronics than other best buys. the people who work there are knowledgeable and friendly. Every year we come here to buy tv's,computer and tablets. My mom always asks a lot of questions before she buys all of these electronics. It was funny because my mom told the tech guy so you don't know the answer? He didn't know the answer to her question so we had to get another tech guy. My mom likes to ask a lot of questions because you need to know what you are buying and what it comes with. This year we bought three surface tablets,anti virus,Apple Watch and a tv. My mom was asking Brittany the tech women a lot of questions and she knew the answer to them. After I filed a complaint with BBB and wrote a negative review on Yelp - Best Buy decided to call me on Tuesday to go over their policy. They were able to exchange me for a different headphones and I am not having issues with it like the original ones. I did go to Apple store like Ricky told me to but the Apple Store Manager said he can do it here but Best Buy should take care of it. I just did not like the fact he was just blaming Apple for their return policy. Armando the store manager was sincere and was willing to help. I went into the store today 8/20/2015 and asked for Armando but he was in a meeting - and apparently no other managers were available so a "Team Leader" assisted me - she was very nice. Will I shop here again? Maybe not ... I recently purchased 3 GoPro's and bought it from Amazon with one day shipping. So i'l be doing my shopping with Amazon. read more

Nicely organized best buy. The staff is very knowledgeable and are at every corner to help you. I would have to say, it almost felt like they were overstaffed. It was a bit irritating that we could not go 2 minutes without being asked over and over again if we needed help. I know it comes from a good place, but it was irritating. They could, however, work on the customer service at check out. I was unhappy twice. Both times the cashiers were unfriendly and stand-offish when asking questions. Thankfully, I only had to deal with them a couple of minutes, so I would hate to let that affect my rating. Other than that, my experience at this place is wonderful!! :) read more

We bought a refrigerator from here, fine. It was delivered on time, no problem. We bought a washer / dryer, dishwasher, microwave, gas range as well. Dishwasher and microwave were delivered and installed on time and the guy who installed them was wonderful...he even vacuumed under the dishwasher before installing the new one. Washer/dryer and range were SUPPOSED to be delivered that day. We had a 5:30 - 9 or so window....8:30 the guy called my husband to say that it wasn't getting delivered that day, there were 3 deliveries before us still. It was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. They don't deliver Sunday, & the warehouse was closed Memorial Day. Tuesday came & went with my husband calling them several times trying to get delivery...it was Wednesday evening before we FINALLY received our deliveries!!!! I will NEVER again buy from Best Buy. I went to this Best Buy store after work last night. I have been reviewing a TiVo Roamio and know more than the sales representative about this NEW product. Best Buy deleted the item. Deleted this brand new on the market DVR. The salesman tried to push another TiVo on me. It did not have the features that the RoMio has. Then the salesman argued the features with me. I believe this salesman knows A LITTLE about a whole lot in the store but, I researched this Roamio before going to the store to purchase it. I know a lot about this item. The salesman tried to prove me wrong on the in store computer but, could not. I researched the DVR before going out of my way to purchase it. I had to leave "very disappointed". I came in here on the Friday that there was snow all over the ground. What was that? February 4th. Sorry that I am just now writing the review. I had originally stopped in at the Wal-Mart by my house because I was TV shopping, and a TV is a TV, right? Doesn't matter where you go. At least that's what I thought. The service was terrible so I said sayonara and headed out on the treacherous roads to Best Buy. Hey, I take TV watching seriously and I didn't want to wait any longer for a new TV! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the store and the gentleman told me where to go for the TVs. I cannot remember his name, but he walked funny because he had hurt his leg and couldn't bend his knee. Shout out Gimpy!! After browsing in their HUGE display area, I found what I liked and asked (we'll call him) Gimpy to come help out. He was very informative while answering my questions (what's the diff between plasma and LCD?)(which is better?) and while he offered other services like warranties and calibration assistance, he was not pushy in the least. (I bought the 2 year warranty and declined calibration services). I don't know if these guy work on a commission basis, but I ended up buying the boys some blue-tooths (teeth?) for the PS3 and other accessories and was overall very satisfied with the service and the pricing. The blue-tooth was about $15 cheaper than in Wal-Mart!! I would definitely come back to Best Buy for my next major purchase.
