I have been a BestBuy customer over the years and last November, I got the online support. Today , I had the misfortune of an unethical person pretending to be Geek Squad tell me I had big problems and I needed them to remove my IP address from public view.we were on the phone almost 6 hours today.After being told I had an infected pc, I needed to pay them to fix it. We did find out we were transferred to someone who is apparently working with an outsider to scam and declare a major problem and wants to charge $400 to $600 to fix. I need to speak with corporate because this is destroying their business. read more

Sales people are fine but post purchase service is the WORST we have ever encountered. Delivery people damaged a doorframe and tracked dirty water through the house. Every time I call I am on hold almost an hour, one person laughed at me and then disconnected me. We bought a $4000 wall oven that was defective when delivered, it is a month later and we are still trying to get it replaced. One outsourced installation team came with the replacement (along with a new washer and dryer), they were not qualified to install the ovens. A replacement was supposed to be installed within 48 hours. We never heard from them. Another 45 minute phone hold time and service was set up for after 12 pm today. I get a phone call at 7:30 this morning that the install team is on their way and do we have the oven? Meanwhile the warehouse has no idea where the first replacement oven is and won't schedule installation until "that ticket updates". So here we sit with a defective oven wondering if I will even be able to cook Thanksgiving dinner (it is July). NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! This has to be beyond the worst experience We've ever had with Best Buy. We bought our daughter an iPad Pro for a gift. It said it would be ready in an hour. We sent her over and were told they wouldn't get it until 6 days later. Then they said she could get it in Frisco. She drove to Frisco, only to be told they didn't have it and to go back here. In this whole misunderstanding, we ordered another iPad that would be ready in an hour and while speaking with the representative, she told us the keyboard would fit the iPad, but it was the wrong size that she told us to get! My daughter finally got her iPad and I told her to please ask the person at pickup that it was the right keyboard and again they told her Yes! She gets in the car and the size was not compatible. If I could give them a zero or negative number, I would. I was looking for a particular soundbar to add to my TV. Since it had just been discontinued, I was searching their open box buys category. My local Best Buy did not have one, but there was one ~60 miles away at the Lewisville store advertised as excellent condition with all the accessories. OK, I'm up for a drive. I proceeded to purchase it online and drove down there. An hour and a half later I arrived at the store, I go to the order pickup desk, gave them the order information, and they hand me a sub-woofer and the sound bar. No remote and no AC adapter. I pointed out to them that it was advertised as including all the accessories. The girl goes out back, and after a while hands me a remote and an AC adapter. I get home, set up everything, and the soundbar will not even turn on. I changed the batteries in the remote, still no luck. I break out my Fluke voltmeter and measure the voltage coming out of the AC adapter and it reads a steady 19VDC. The soundbar requires 24VDC. I download the manual, and it shows a completely different AC adapter. The one I was given was for a monitor. I call the store back, and the girl that answers was apologetic. She asks for the order number; I even gave her the part number for the correct AC adapter. She assures me they have some in stock and to just bring them the wrong AC adapter and they will give me the correct one. I tell her that it is going to be a three-hour drive and I asked her to verify they have it in stock. She assures me they do. I show up at the store the next day, go to the customer service desk as instructed. I brought a printout of the order and a printout of the manual showing the correct AC adapter. The girl goes away for a while presumably to find the correct one. She comes back and tells me they do not have any AND I will need to order one. I ask for a manager. A young man shows up and tells me that I will need to order one. And he proceeds to argue with me whether or not the one I was supplied is the correct one. Apparently he cannot read pictures in the manual nor understand the difference in voltage. He says they can compensate me for having to order one off from Amazon, but they will not do anything about the 6+ hours of time and money they have cost me due to their gross incompetence, I will not be doing business with Best Buy again. Rating of 0 if it was an option. We purchased a 75" tv which they physically had in the store. They scheduled an appointment. Sent confirmation emails that evening and every day including the morning of delivery. They no showed. I called them. They had the audacity to tell me I never scheduled an appointment. When I told them about the email confirmation, they then tell me Best Buy canceled the appointment. There was no notification to me. Not an email or phone call. We already waited 4 days for delivery and now they are wanting to have us wait 4 more days. Poor customer experience! Even worse customer service. read more

Wow ..... I have never seen a staff at an electronics store who are sincerely caring! I was so lost about what I was looking for. The manager was at the front door and escorted me to the right department and introduced me to one of the experts in that department and he stuck with me until I made my decision and even told me about who it should be used properly and what would be the best brand and etc. To top it all off, it is really clean and organized here also. BEWARE! There customer service is little to non-existence - this was my to go Best Buy for everything and they were so nice on price matching from competitors; hence I kept returning to this location. on 7/19/2015 19:52 I went into this store and purchased PowerBeats Wireless in ear and they honored the price from Amazon. I paid $149.99 plus taxes. Soon as I got home I charged it over night to make sure I have a full charge. I've had couple business trips that I had to attend and did not had a chance to use these new headsets. Pairing was simple but the sound quality was not what I expected - even with the volume all the way up it's quite - yes I did check my phone or Mp3 settings and they were good also. I checked on the web and plugged the headset to my computer to check any updates - there were none. On August 7, 2015 around 1PM I went into the same store for an exchange for Beats Solo 2 bluetooth (I wanted this one because my sister has one and it sounded amazing). The girl gave me a hard time - this is the same girl who rang me up last time (WHO DID NOT tell me about the return policy). She said she can not exchange these because it's passed 15 days - little did I know they changed their return policy from 30 days to 15 days - I'm not sure when this was done but apparently it was a while back. She brings her manager over. His name is Ricky Roberts - I asked for his manager and he said "I can not give you that information" "we don't do business like that" and no one in upper manager will approve your exchange even if it's the CEO. I looked at his name tag and he is listed as Assistant Manager and his Business Card is listed as "Connected Sales Manager" he did not want to work with me, he said it's Apple this, Apple that - I need to take it to Apple store this. He kept blaming Apple about the return policy - he said if I had something different he *might* work on it but Apple products he has no saying. By talking to Ricky for few minutes he didn't seem to care about his customers and showed no emotions. When I finally asked "Oh your an Assistant Manager I need your managers name" then he gave me his GM - Armando Alvarez; his name is on Best Buy's website so I didn't understand what he meant by "We don't do business like that" I've been in corporate business for long time and managed over 60 people before and he should of done a better job on showing emotion and showing some empathy. I do understand it but stop blaming your return policy on Apple! So found out that you have to be Best Buy Elite (spend $1500 with them) or ElitePlus (more money spent with them) to get 30 or 45 days of return/exchange policy. Their customer service has got down dramatically - whoever is in charge of retention and customer service is horrible of coming with 15 days return/exchange policy. I will not shop at Best Buy again in my life - I will go through Amazon and wait for their shipping. I will make sure I tell all my clients not to shop with you guys ever - I will also make sure I tell this story to Lewisville, Carrollton and Korean Chamber of Commerce next meeting. I do not want others to get treated like I did at this store. Final thought - I was only 4 days late for my return/exchange policy - instead of asking me if Im a Best Buy RewardZone Elite or ElitePlus member he just was very stubborn and did not want to work with me. Also he could of taken it to his upper manager to see if they can approve an exchange for MORE EXPENSIVE item. Best Buy Lewisville - please do not falsely but "Sales manager" title at an Assistant manger's business card. As a person who has been in Sales Manager, Director and VP positions he does not deserve a Sales Manager title. Also make sure you guys train your cashiers correctly and inform them to explain and circle the return policy - simple implantation on this will save face of the company read more

I had the best service at Best Buy. I walked in looking for a cord to charge my computer. I told the guy what I needed and he quickly found the cord I was looking for. He asked if I needed any other help. He was helpful and friendly. After leaving the computer area, I went to the video game section and no one spoke to me in that department. Then as we proceeded to checkout, not one associate asked me if I needed any help. Overall, the service was great in the computer area but overall the service throughout the store was not very friendly nor helpful. read more

If I knew how to leave a "zero stars" rating, I would do so for Best Buy. The stores in the DFW area are among the worst retail stores a consumer could have the misfortune of experiencing. I had several visits to local stores over the holiday shopping season and not once did I find a competent associate who could answer a couple basic questions. On several occasions, they were completely clueless on products. Worst of all, they are incapable of listening or being a bit resourceful. At least two employees were just outright rude. Within 30 seconds of talking to anyone that works there, they are automatically on their phone hoping google will tell them something. I guess it never occurred to them that most people are smart enough to pull up their website themselves. As recently as the end of 2018, they still had good people and I held out hope for them. In 2019, they have stripped their stores of all talent and completely abandoned the consumer. Amazon has no worries, Best Buy is their best advocate. They lost us for good! read more

This should be 5 stars, maybe even 10 stars!!! After Oncor created a power surge and fried ALL our appliances, we found out that Oncor is protected by the Public Utility Commission and therefore not liable for the damage they caused. Then we found out that homeowners insurance won't cover it because it was Oncor's liability. So.... we got screwed! Wow, lesson learned. Moving on... So we recently purchased all new stainless steel appliances from Phenias at Best Buy and he was truly amazing! We felt like we were buying from family and getting the best deals possible! We scheduled delivery and installation for a Sat. The installation guys came out in the heavy pouring rain, were incredibly professional, delivered, installed, demonstrated and checked to make sure everything worked correctly for all 4 new appliances, then hauled away our old stuff. We couldn't have asked for a better experience from our salesman Phenias, or our delivery/installation team. Truly a great experience! They all get 5 stars! - - - and then... I wish that was where the review stopped...Now comes the bad part... there was a very small but highly visible dent on the very front of the new range hood. It was that way when it came out of the box. Best Buy called and offered me $20 (far less than 10% of the price of this one item) to keep it "as is". I just spent over $3600 on 4 new stainless steel appliances, and they offer me a $20 Best Buy gift card to just keep the damaged one. They said that is their maximum offer. Uh, no! So instead, they are now ordering a brand new range hood and will be coming out and installing it next month. I know this will be costing them hundreds to get a new one and then send a new installation crew out to take down the damaged one and reinstall the new one. Honestly, I could probably have lived with the small dent, but after spending over $3600, there is no way I would "just live with it" for only a $20 gift card. This was a totally insulting offer by Best Buy's customer service. They said that was the maximum they can offer. Oh well... I'll wait on the replacement and enjoy my perfectly non-dented new kitchen range hood that matches my perfectly non-dented new stainless steel dishwasher, convection range, and counter depth refrigerator freezer! Beware if you incur an issue, as their resolution folks can be very frustrating because their management team has no accounting skills or common sense, let alone any decency in customer service when THEY are in the wrong. Sad to say, Best Buy does not stand behind their extra warranties. My son paid $50 for an additional warranty on his beats headphones prior to Apple taking over Beats by Dre. The salesperson sold it as a great insurance policy because we would deal with Best Buy, not Apple, and issues would be addressed quickly. My son took his headphones in today because of three issues. First, a short in one of the headphones, an issue with the hinge, and one other minor issue. He was told that they no longer honor the warranty because Apple changed its terms with Best Buy. Sad that a company can change a pretty expensive warranty midstream and think that's acceptable business practice. Won't trust anything from Best Buy again. read more

This store use to have great staff and customer service. I guess management changed an they hired new staff because no one is left from when I started shopping. There is literally no floor help unless you go back to the front where teens are chit chatting and don't care about your problems. Had a employee call me a liar that an item was on sale when the front of the and the weekly ad had the item featured. I use best buy a lot for gaming with my gcu account but I only use this store if I have to. Management would rather stand and talk about themselves then helping a customer. I am very disappointed in how Best Buy handles business. I have been a loyal customer for years and I can see now why Amazon is getting everybody's business. I placed and order online on November 30th this kept being cancelled by the system so I had to get someone from their customer service to help me, after hours of trying to get someone to help a customer service rep created the PO for me, unfortunately he put the wrong address. He told me I could edit it but I couldn't so I ended up cancelling it. I had ordered an HP Laptop for my mom with the Microsoft Office Home and Student. What I didn't know was that Best Buy was only going to cancel the order partially without even letting me know. On Jan 2 I get a payment alert so I checked since I knew I didn't have anything outstanding, after that it's been a nightmare. I was told the software purchase would be removed and I have the transcript to prove it but it was never removed so I opened a dispute, yesterday I got a letter from Best Buy months later saying they had determined that I was accountable for the amount of $542~. How did Best Buy determine I am accountable for that now they not only want to charge me for the software I never used but also the laptop I never received. I called and of course no one could help me again, I spoke to 5 people in one and a half hours, this company's way of handling business is inept, how can no one help me. All I can say is that if they make me pay for something I do not have I will make sure no one from my family including myself will ever give Best Buy out business. Amazon and Costco do a much better job, and for an amount of $140 they are about to lose a few customers. read more
