Came in to take home some AC units after ordering them for pick up online and despite there being an issue with the pickup time, Jen was so sweet and made sure we got priority on our order so we could have it ready before we had to leave. She checked in to make sure we got our ac units and i genuinely think we would've had a much more difficult time getting the units in such a timely manner had she not have taken the time and care to make sure our order was prioritized. Before Thanksgiving I bought all my holiday gifts and no special need for myself, however out of curiosity checked out the site for a new espresso machine. Nothing there, but they offered a MagSafe PowerBank Black Friday deal at 55% off that would come in handy for my phone. Buyers beware. Do not rely on their service. In fact, it has been the worst experience I have ever had at any brand. Home Depot, Costco, literally anywhere would be better than Best Buy. I ordered a fridge/freezer over 10 days ago, and I ordered the "HAUL" service to remove the current fridge/freezer. They didn't have any availability for delivery for a few days. Fine. I book it for Friday, January 30th. They give me the time spot of 12-4. Dont show up till well after that time. Come into my apartment and pull my old fridge/freezer that is dead out of the alcove...into the middle of my whole kitchen. I assume they're going to haul it out but who knows because they don't speak a single word of English. They do some measurements and leave. I am waiting for them to come back for about a half hour when I finally call the man's cell who came to my apartment. He had called me to tell me he would be 5 minutes an hour late so I had his cell. Thank God, because evidently BestBuy (despite it being an electronics store) does not have a phone. You can not get a hold of any store or manager. So, I called and he hung up on me 3 times. After that I call the call center with more people I can barely understand. 3 hours of calls to Baghdad on my Friday night and they determined that the truck was too big to park anywhere near me, which was just a blatant lie. I live directly across from two parking lots on both sides. All of this wouldn't be disastrous if they hadn't move the appliances into the middle of my kitchen. I am in a wheelchair. I could not push the fridge in or get around to get to my meds. I had to call the police for them to come and push the appliances out of the way. The best consolation they can offer me is a smaller truck so they can park with different delivery men on Tuesday, February 3rd. 3 days later. They can also not give me a better time slot than 9 AM - 4PM. The entire day. I will know have two days I had to take off work. Best Buy has already taken the money from my Bank for their products and services so I am hoping for the best. I call them the day before and ask if they can come in the morning or before noon. They flat out say no. So I am waiting all day today and guess what they don't show up until 530PM. They call again and say they'll be there in 20 and then never show up. I call them back. They say there is no parking. I go downstairs and theyre parked in a parking lot. There is a meter and I offer to pay for it and they say don't want to get a ticket. I guess BestBuy Delivery men don't know how to read parking signs. I tell them Ill wait by the truck. They call BestBuy and say there is no parking. Again, blatantly lying. I call the police again because at this point it's like they have stolen goods on their truck and the officer comes and says he will watch the truck, but their feelings are hurt that I called the police and refused to help me. Very professional. The officer is going to take me to the store tomorrow to speak with the manager as they don't have phones there to correct any situation. I call the call center again and they say "they understand but the best they can do is deliver it this Friday, February 6th"...oh, and they can't give me a time. Ill have to take off work for a third day. 9-4 is the best they can do and we all know how this story ends. They'll be even later than that. Won't speak any English. Multiple excuses. Never use them for any delivery. There are tons here that will tell you about their cancellations and rules and paying for things they don't honor. This is my experience at Union Square Best Buy... I was shopping at Union Square Best Buy with my son and his friend at around 6pm, when the store suddenly put Pokemon trading cards for sale, after previously being out-of-stock. While in line, a line formed behind us. Concurrently while I was waiting to make a Pokemon purchase, there was a nearby adult male, calling his friends on the phone and urging them to rush to Best Buy Union Square, to purchase Pokemon trading cards, quickly. I was near the front of the line, and purchased a single box of Pokemon trading cards. Then, my teen son, who was with a friend of the same age, went to purchase Pokemon cards. The two teen boys were then told by Edward, the Union Square Best Buy store manager on duty, that only one of them could make a Pokemon trading card purchase, even though it was with their own money, because Edward the store manager considered the two teen friends, "A GROUP." Next, my husband was told he also could not purchase Pokemon trading cards, because he was related to my son, hence part of the same "GROUP." Mind you, Pokemon trading cards is a product made and largely meant for kids. As my son and husband were each denied the ability to purchase Pokemon trading cards by Edward, the Union Square Best Buy store manager, we witnessed Edward ALLOW multiple ADULT individuals with ADULT GROUPS, in the line behind us, to each make an individual Pokemon trading card purchase, without issue. Edward allowed every individual with a group in line to purchase Pokemon trading cards, except for my sons' two-friend group and our family group. Every other group in the Union Square line, of adult groups, was EXEMPT from Edward the Union Square store manager's discriminatory restrictive Pokemon Trading Card purchase policy. This also includes the group of friends of the young adult male, who were summoned to rush to Best Buy Union Square to immediately purchase Pokemon Trading cards (this young man, who also appeared to be oddly friendly with Edward, as they were conversing quite chummily). In reflecting upon my experience, Edward the store manager enforces an ILLEGAL CUSTOMER AGE DISCRIMINATION group policy against minors and families. However, Edward DOES NOT apply this "GROUP PURCHASE RESTRICTION POLICY" to groups of adults and particularly groups of adults that he appears to be especially friendly with. Moreover, my son mentioned that Edward was making rude comments about myself, to other customers at the store after I left the line, which is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, as I had ZERO contact with Edward while at the store. As a customer whose child, family friend, and family were actively and knowingly age discriminated against, I felt compelled to write about my extremely negative experience with Edward the Union Square Best Buy store manager and the Union Square Best Buy Store, while buying Pokemon trading cards. No customer deserves to be treated this disrespectfully and disparagingly, particularly in front of their children and towards them, and makes me doubt the thousands of dollars I have spent at Best Buy and for my family's Best Buy Plus membership. Awful. From the first encounter to the last. Walked in & asked for a Garmin charger. They didn't have any in stock, have to place an order for delivery. Delivered to a NJ address because I was going away. They use DOOR DASH who left it on a gate on a fence. I found a cardboard envelope, no return address in the yard. It had thumbsticks in it, no charger. Try to get someone on the phone. They all say the same thing. It was the fault of the person who placed the order & I have to return it before I can get the charger I paid for. They have the worst customer servive in store & on the phone. In NYC, where delivery to apartment buildings is restricted, they ignore those regulations. Geek Squad staff in store are mostly sullen. In home they are nice, when they get there, but too costly nowadays. All phone calls are 800 and useless. Came to this best buy because I was looking to buy a camera. The staff that helped us out was so so helpful. We weren't sure between buying a canon or sony camera and the staff member gave us practical and useful information. He also didn't pressure us into buying a specific camera and encouraged us to look around and test the cameras on display. He went the extra mile to even give us a little lesson on the difference between a dslr or mirrorless camera. I wish I had caught his name because he deserves a big shoutout! Sadly, the camera we decided on was in not in stock. Another staff member actually offered to help us check the inventory in the other best buys nearby but it was sadly sold out everywhere. This was of course not their fault! Overall, super satisfied with the customer service at this best buy. Personally, I thought the staff members were so kind and helpful. Then this evening I got another text requesting me to schedule the delivery for the same item so I contacted Best Buy 800 number to ask what's it all about and when I can expect the credit back i was connected with someone in India who would not transfer me to an English speaking person then went ahead and transferred me to another person who hung up I've gotten the run around and was forced to contact the card I used to file a claim. About two months ago, our BEST BUY credit card was hacked, and 2 purchases of $200 each, one to UBER and the other to Macy;s, was put on the card. We IMMEDIATELY informed Best Buy, who, after numerous calls, where they escalated this to their fraud department, finally said that there was nothing they could do, so they sent us a e-coupon for $200 each to UBER and Macy's. Today, about 7 weeks later, I finally had a chance to use the UBER card, and there was nothing on it. (Then called to confirm that there was nothing also on the Macy's card.) This place is complete and utter trash. I came in with my partner and we purchased a Frame tv with bezel to be delivered and installed. We specially asked if they would deliver to walk up and were assured it was so no problem. Two days before the delivery date we get an email saying it must be rescheduled. We called three different people asking if this was true and if so why. We got different answers every time ranging from something is out of stock to that it actually will be delivered on that date. So we had to physically come back in to the store and speak to a manager to get answer. She assisted in moving the installation date. Fine. On that date the two delivery people said they couldn't walk up further than one flight of stairs because it as too hot outside. Wtf. So my partner carried the tv himself up six flights of stairs while they watched and didn't offer to help. They installed the tv but didn't deliver the bezel (tv frame that we pre paid for.) My partner asked where it was and they said "oh Samsung will deliver it later" then handed him a paper that said it was to be delivered that day. No bezel was ever delivered and we have contacted Best Buy SIX freaking times to get the bezel we paid for. No one seems to know a freaking thing or want to lift a finger to help. Every time they'll say "oh well it was delivered." IT WASNT!!! Then say "oh we will call you back in 24 hours" and another time "we promise we'll call you back between 12-1" NO CALL BACK HAS EVER HAPPENED. We still don't have our bezel and had to jump through hoops to spend $1500 at Best Buy. DO NOT SHOP HERE AT ANY COST. Agent named Layson said we had to go to the closest store, which I said was Union Square. We went out in the cold and told that store doesn't even carry dishwashers. No compensation for our troubles, going out in freezing weather. Tried calling again from the store and got call center in Panama, where Alex lied to us for another hour. This place never fails to disappoint. According to the Best Buy website, this store had the official Galaxy s24 Ultra case that I wanted in stock. So I went there and talked to the associate in the Samsung area of the store. Me: "Can you tell me where the S24 Ultra cases are?" Them: "Right over here. This is all we have." Me: "I don't see the official Samsung cases." Them: "We don't sell them." Me: "The website says you have them in stock at this store." Them: "Are you sure you were looking at the right case?" Me: "Yes, I'm sure." Them, after checking the website: "Oh it must be in the back. I'll go check." walking away slowly. I then find the case I want hanging on another rack nearby. Just one, all by itself, surrounded by empty hooks - as if to say "save me from this sad, lonely place". I waited for the associate to return to tell them I found it, but then I gave up after waiting a while. I bought the case and walked out. SMH. Don't ever go here unless you check the website to see if they have the item you want in stock. Don't expect them to have the item you want on display, even if they have it in stock. Don't expect the employees to be trained or to know what's up. Also, try not to blame the employees if you leave annoyed or disappointed; It's the company's fault. Best Buy is a zombie. On 9/12/15 I ordered a pair of Google PixelBuds Pro from BestBuy.com. They were to arrive on 9/15 but did not due to a misdelivery to a wrong address by USPS. USPS has documented and provided BestBuy with a letter stating that the package was lost by them, and how to file a claim for it. BestBuy has declined to assist stating they have evidence the package was delivered. What evidence? Who knows, they wont share it (see screenshots). USPS however is certain they lost it and have provided BestBuy with documentation of how / when that occurred. You make your own judgement. read more

I have not purchased since last December 12/10/23. This used to be my electronics store but no more. I asked if they could do a quick check on a memory stick, plug it in, and see if it is recognized on your PCs and he rudely said $100 bucks. I have been a customer for longer than this guy has been alive so I'll continue shopping elsewhere. I could buy a new memory stick for that. The very bad reviews are indeed an accurate description of Best Buy. There are too much negative repulsion. I enter full of issues with my cell phone as I was, oddly, strongly advised by my cellular service provider to go to Best Buy for a "reboot." While standing at the mobile phone booth waiting for assistance as all associates were unavailable attending to customers I had to wait. I waited, I waited, I waited and I waited for a available Best Buy staff for customer service. Waiting for resolution. Waiting for absolution. Waiting for salvation. I scanned the entire store for other associates or staff to seek assistance and encountered a Samsung representative (this white devil is employed by Samsung). At first this dude was utter antagonistic and rather dismissive with a horrible attitude "that's not going to happen, not going to happen sweetheart! NO!" This is malarkey. An atmosphere of malaise. Insolent! This is completely unprofessional!! There is absolutely NO empathy, no humanity or kindness from this dude in the hour of need. Obviously this Samsung dude has no ethics for kindness or a conscious. In visible antagonistic acquiescence, this dude stand to his feet and provided a resolution to my plaguing cellular issue. How do I know for sure if this same error message will not appear again when attaching a USB port to a computer? Dude, can you provide definitive confirmation for removal of this error message from this technical plaguing issue has been resolved?
