It's with a broken heart I write this. After 5 years of being a client, I have to resign from their service. Geek squad destroyed 7 years of applications. This is not data loss I'm discussing. I'm discussing destroying 111 applications from my computer. Leaving 18 apps out of the 129 apps on my computer. The manager says there is no, nada, zero accountability on their side. Carlos (last name withheld for his safety) the Geek manager, was disrespectful. when mentioning this, he said they have video of engagement. Too bad for him/ them, I recorded the session. Stay away, they will eventually a show their unprofessional sides if given long enough. Btw, from my 44 years in computing, to replace what they destroyed with cost me ~ $2,300 to replace. read more

Customer service is atrocious. Clock watching in a store barely seeing customer traffic. Communication is so poor and the guys behind the counter really have an attitude. Some of these associates need sunlight and a hug, because they can barely service simple consumer electronics questions. Had a question on an Apple product and the subsequent process to check out were excruciating and rude. Must be a Gen Z hiring thing, because they couldn't wait to not help you and get you out there fast enough. read more

Came in during the Labor Day weekend (2022) after spending the past couple of days browsing for appliances between different retailers. This Best Buy is noticeably smaller than the others we've been to in the past. Half of the store was converted into a fulfillment center. There is still a lot of items on the floor to look at. Casey greeted us and showed us the different appliances that were available on the floor. We took our time browsing the store, and was thankful he wasn't pushy like most of the people working at other retailers. We decided to order with Best Buy and Casey was amazing! He kept us up to date via a quick phone call with when the deliveries were coming in and made sure we were prepared. Best Buy also does an amazing job with email notifications of when your oder will come in. Our washer and dryers came in way ahead of schedule, which was a nice surprise. Best Buy at this location really isn't what it used to be. Back in the 90s, this was the place to frequent for your electronics and gaming needs. And really anything like music, appliances etc. That being said. The staff on the floor are pretty nice and will assist you when asked. Customer service staff seem distant and just there counting the time when they can get off work. read more

We had an excellent experience here, mostly thanks to Casey. We stopped in to browse appliances and compare prices options against the other big box stores. We didn't need to go anywhere else after our time here. Casey was extremely knowledgeable with both the products and the sales/incentives/plans that were going to save us money. He very thoroughly explained our options and how they compared to what we saw and heard at other stores. It quickly became obvious that Best Buy was the best choice. We ended up buying a washer/dryer and a fridge, and by getting the credit card and the total tech membership, and buying during a good sale, we saved a ton of money and got hundreds of dollars in reward points to use next time. The delivery dates were originally quite a ways out but Casey gave us a call to let us know the items came in earlier then expected. The delivery process was painless. Overall a very pleasant experience and we will be returning to this location! read more

Had a Dash Cam installed here by their auto-tech, Skyler and was very satisfied with the result! I had to book an appointment, and due to availability, had to schedule it about 3 weeks ahead of time. Once my car got to the shop, it only took about an hour or so to hook up everything. Skyler also went over placement to make sure that everyone was on the same page over the dash cam placement in the car. There's an In-n-Out I stopped by within walking distance I ate at, while waiting on them to finish up my dashcam installation. Once installed, the Skyler was cool enough to teach a little bit about the camera as well as how it functioned with the cars operating system, which he hardwired the dash cam to. Worth noting, you do need a hardwire kit ahead of time as Best Buy does not carry them. Overall, I was very impressed with my experience here and would definitely recommend to anyone trying to have a dash cam installed! read more

They have done a huge remodel of this location and it was much needed. The space is cleaner and laid out much better. They don't carry all the kitchen items that took up much of the space. The Best Buy at this location gave me the best customer service I have ever had!! I took my home computer in for service because I thought I had a virus. The young man in the Geek Squad Center was so helpful and answered a few questions I had. He took his time and did not rush me or make me feel stupid, as I am and older person. I had a wonderful experience, as well as left with my computer in hand. Many thanks to I believe, Tony was the young man who helped me. You are an asset Best Buy, and a great example of a valuable employee. I highly recommend this store and will be back should I ever need assistance again. read more

Big Alert !! NEVER EVER buy a TV from Best Buy they never tell you that TVs are not cover for physical damage, they will sale you the total tech membership without telling you this. So buy it for Amazon or another company that have better warranty programs. read more

My iPhone had been having some short battery life lately. I checked my model against Apple's battery replacement program and found it qualified. So I made an appointment with the Geek Squad, since the nearest Apple store was further away. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and I was quickly met by one of the staff (sorry, I didn't get her name). Told her why I was there and within 5 minutes (she was working with another customer), we had started. Went through the phone and found it to be 85% health on the battery. This is considered normal healthy by Apple and they could not replace the battery. But didn't stop there, she analyzed the phone usage and we did find the problem app that had recently started eating more battery after an update. Great job for sure! If/when the battery does fail, I'll be back here. read more

Bad experience started with an online order. They missed the anticipated pickup date and couldn't specify when the order would be available. Finally get an email late in the day 3 days later my order is ready for pickup. Instructions say to stand in line and push the "I'm here" button on the website when I arrived in the parking lot. There was no clear line outside. And from the looks of things pushing that button online didn't expedite or help me at all. Had to wait because instead of having a dedicated pickup line they were taking customers in the order they arrived. Literally had half a dozen people in front of me trying to buy things but weren't sure what they wanted. IE a guy wanted an iPad but didn't know what kind. So imagine how long that takes when I just need to pickup an order and leave. Employees were not in uniforms just jeans, t-shirts, and random sport team hats. It literally looked like a bunch of random people selling stuff out of a Best Buy. Employees had to be directed by I assume the manager as to which customers needed help. I had one question about my purchase too and the associate helping me couldn't answer it. In short, very disorganized and poor customer experience from online ordering to pickup. As a side note, I'd considered buying some additional things from Best Buy but went to Amazon because Best Buy doesn't keep much in stock. read more

Wonderful experience....in and out in less than 10 minutes. I had gone in to buy a specific kitchenaid mixer that I saw online. I fully expected not to find it in the store. Not only was it available, I didn't have to lift a finger. The wonderful gentleman that was helping me carried it to the counter for payment and then insisted on bringing it to the curbside for me since it is a big heavy machine. I had an appointment at 11:20 for iPhone battery change, arrived at 11:15, waited for about 20 minutes to talk to someone in charge. The paper work took about 30 minutes. They told us it would take about 2 hours for the work, but when we came back after 2 hours, they said it would take another 2 hours. Bad costumer service. read more

Took us hours the next day to cancel the sale and I I still need to call a number to really cancel the automatically renewing annual membership in never agreed to pay for. Went to Lowe's and saved $200 on the purchase. Complete chaos that resulted in Best Buy taking what was never agreed to. Never again. read more

I went in looking for help with my laptops webcam since it stopped working. I had to wait for a small period of time as the Geek Squad personnel was busy with another client. Because I did just walk in, I was not expecting to be helped as quickly, however the young man at the counter was eager and ready to assist me right after he was done with his other client. Daniel sat down with me and walked me through what we could possibly do to fix my computer. He went into depth and even held wonderful conversation while we waited for computer updates, etc. Although my webcam was not able to be fixed in that exact moment, I left extremely satisfied with the service provided by this Best Buy's Geek Squad. Daniel was a great help and any place would be lucky to have an employee like themselves. I would highly recommend coming here for other technology needs! read more

Be very concerned when you purchase item for delivery using Geek Squad via Best Buy. Geek is outsourced and company had horrible customer service/follow-up/communication. I had to call and follow-up to get info which still wasn't correct on delivery/set-up. Multiple emails on day/time which was not completed on date. Almost week later I get delivery. Tech was ok so not his fault horrible customer service at level above him. I will never buy any item from Best Buy again as it's not worth the frustration. Save yourself the frustration. read more

Best Buy is a shell of what it was...really don't understand why they have brick @ mortar stores? This location has very sparse inventory. My purchase had to be delivered...Mr. Loss was my salesman, did a great job! Once he pulled up my account, I pointed out the address was not correct, he changed it and I checked the POS screen, correct. When I got home I reviewed my email receipt and the wrong address still was present. I tried calling the store, but that is not possible, calls go to centralized call center, after over an hour on the phone C/S could not change the address and my purchase was off to the wrong address. Took it back to Best Buy Plano and was told (with a bit of 'tude) the return policy was 14 days and there was nothing they could do for me. 14 days?! Buy from crutchfield.com. Better prices, free shipping in two days, and 60 day return policy for any reason. Fantastic US-based customer service. A real person after punching one digit! Outside of the 60 days they will work with you on a solution. They actually want to keep their customers. Should have done that in the first place. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at this Best Buy location. I came in originally to buy a new band for my Fitbit Alta. I could only find a 3 pk option and nothing else. I looked for assistance, but no one was available and when someone did finally became available, I was completely ignored. I walked over to the computer department to see what kind of selection was available, as I haven't got a new laptop in years and needed to update everything I had. One associate asked if I needed help, and I informed that I wasn't sure to begin looking. And all I got was "ok, well, let me know if I can help with anything!" He then disappeared after that, along with every other associate that was in the area. I walked around for a bit and two associates appeared and BOTH went over to assist another customer in the department and once again, was ignored. I walked back over to where the Fitbits where located, as I seen a few associates standing near and talking amongst themselves, just to see if at all possible to have someone let me know if there where any other options for the Fitbit Alta band. They all walked away, as if someone wasn't approaching them. Fed up and desperately needing the Fitbit band, I walked up to the register to check out. The cashier did greet me with a hello, asked if I had the rewards program. And that was it. He didn't ask if I found everything alright, or even a "How are you doing today?" I had worked in customer service for 14 years and none of this would have been acceptable in the store I've worked in. I used to enjoy going into a Best Buy, because of the customer service. But now, not so sure. I'm giving 2 stars because what brief words were exchanged where pleasant, they all still lacked much in the overall customer service experience. I dropped by 30 minutes before they close without knowing it. I traded in 2 iPads, a mini and an iPad Air for a newer iPad. Their wifi was problematic and I could go online to wipe out my accounts via iCloud, so I was forced to asked help at the customer service. A gentleman, named Shelby helped me and we used his personal hotspot from his phone to do the trick. He did processed my trade ins despite of him not having a break for the day. We chatted and he so calm and very customer- oriented nice. My transaction was a bit tedious paper and I thought of just returning the following day to do my iPad Pro purchase but he made it happened. Roshan did the sale transaction. I got a high end radio and top in the live wiper security system installed with BB...and after 6 years the security system failed. I took to another BB. They told me that only plano could fix it. So I took to them and they refused to repear the install damage that BB caused during the original install. Basically they wrapped the wires under the dash so tight that 3 wire severed and caused the the system not work any longer ...DO NOT USE BB FOR INSTALLS . I took to car toys and they told me the issue and being an electronically engineer that made since . Plus they electronically taped the junctions instead of heat shrinking them. Always show product as available and prompt delivery or install but it is never the case. Staff never follows up as promised except when canceling, back ordering, etc. They have people available when delivering bad news but not when you need assistance otherwise. Bestbuy is a joke. I ordered a JVC radio thru the Best Buy web site and scheduled to have it installed at the Plano store on September 20,2021. On the morning of the 20th I received a call that they needed to reschedule the installation because the installer did not show up for work that day. The install was rescheduled for October 1, 2021 and I was told they would insure that my online order was not canceled. I arrived at my scheduled time on the 1st only to discover that my online order had been canceled. I did not cancel the order. read more
