I don't understand the low rating here, I have only been here a few times and it was a great experience each time. Store was clean, well lit, easy to navigate and get what you want. Sure, staff mill around like any other retail location these days - I am NOT saying that is ok - but I am pretty self sufficient and capable of finding what I want or need without much help. What a absolute disgrace of customer service. My mother went in this morning after speaking with a Best Buy customer support representative, and was instructed to be able to receive a refund she'd have to go in store. As she did from Long Prairie to this St. Cloud location, immediately before asking why the refund is needed. She was disrespected and told no it can't happen. She was called a liar that she didn't speak with anyone on the phone from this store. From the morning manager, himself mind you. After more back and forth, my mother told him should I call the number back so you can speak with them, he finally 'tried' and gave her the refund. There was absolutely no need for the rudeness, disrespect, dismissive, and misogynistic behavior from the manager and staff at the desk. The only individual with manners or customer service was the greeter who was embarrassed and apologized on behalf of the manager and other staff member. Ordered a washing machine Dec 10, 2 delivery appointments were cancelled by them. No phone calls, just text saying there was no appt anymore and something needed to be set. Each time I was put out another week. Dec 20, Dec 26, and now Jan 3. I will never purchase anything from them again. Going to cancel this order as I am sure it will not be delivered. I bought a refrigerator back in January. When I went to the store, I could not get one sales rep to help me, so I literally ordered it online while in the store. The next day, it was delivered. Inside the glass shelf had exploded. Customer service refused to send a new refrigerator that day(that would have solved everything). I then had to go into the store and have a rep call customer service so we could figure out an arrangement. We agreed on a partial refund that would be mailed to me, and I would clean up the glass. They would also ship a new glass shelf to me. It has been eight weeks, and neither have been delivered. Tried to work with their inline customer service, and they were no help and told me I needed to go into the store. They have downsized all of their staff and it is absolutely miserable to deal with BestBUY. read more

Read through a lot of these reviews and they are spot on. My family and I went in to purchase a new TV. We found the TV we wanted and told an associate we were ready to purchase. The associate says that he will return when he finishes up with a customer. So we wait, and wait. We finally see him as he's leaving a break room with a drink in his hand. Proceeds to walk around the store chit-chatting with other associates. He does this for a while till I talk with the man at the door and tell him what's going on. The security guy calls him out. The associate exclaims that he forgot about us and comes over and proceeds to tell us that he is sorry and then lies to us by telling us that he got busy with customers. At this point we were so annoyed but wanted the product despite. We paid for the product but needed to pick it up later. We get that arranged and return an hour later. Walk up to him and he has no idea who I am and then finally remembers. Questions me about if my vehicle will fit the TV and I show him it will, he proceeds to ask someone else if it will fit despite. The associate then wants my ID which is fine. Then two associates load it up in our vehicle. The associate we'd been dealing with rushes out to us saying he FORGOT to scan the TV. So we get to stand outside freezing while he finagles in our car trying to scan it. Finally gets it scanned and walks away without saying anything. My son and I just look at each other and decide to leave as we were over this whole experience. Don't think I will ever return to this store. The low reviews of this place are spot on. It's filled with young kids playing associates standing around talking, ignoring customers and faking like they're busy. read more

This store is an absolute s**t show. We went in to purchase $4000 - $6000 in electronics. This store is filled with employees walking around, standing around talking to each other, walking past people with their hands in their pockets, and doing everything but helping the customer standing at a case waiting for help. When I complained, I got an 'oh, sorry....' and every excuse in the book about how busy they were - I was seeing very few customers - most walking around looking for help from the people that made every effort to avoid customer contact. People want you "shop local" and go to the local "brick and mortor" stores - but when you do, this is what you're met with. Additionally, store conditions were dismal - product out of stock, other product laying around blocking aisles. When I wanted to talk to the store manager, they sent some kid out with the same excuses. Honestly - when all you see is kids walking around avoiding customers, or standing talking amongst themselves, don't tell me you're "super busy". I was in retail. I know what I'm seeing. You lost my $6000 now, and all of my future business for the appliances I will be replacing this year. read more

Wish I could give this place 0 stars, waited around for about 40 minutes waiting for someone to answer a few questions about washing machines. Workers walking around all over doing nothing, just telling me they can't help with washers. Finally got someone to answer our few questions. Then my husband went to use the restroom before we left, and the toilet seat is full of piss and the toilet paper roll is on the GROUND. Horrible service!! my significant other and I went to get new screen protector for our phones. We waited over an hour before we were even helped. The poor kid working at the desk was stuck with the same customer and he called for help and nobody came. Which is funny bc multiple employees looked at us and nobody ever came to help him. Zero stars would be a better rating if it were an option! First off I'd like to point out is don't believe the website and store hours. We stood around for 35 minutes waiting for someone to help me with a TV while numerous workers were standing around doing absolutely nothing. I picked out the TV I wanted which I was told was in stock, I went to the computer section and picked out a gaming monitor that he wanted and was told that was in stock. It's 8:20 pm by this point and the website said they were open until 9. I had every intention of spending $2,000 right then and there...until they told me they couldn't find either item and said the they close at 8 pm and hurried us out of the store! I could be biased because my son worked at a Best Buy for several years however I have to give credit where credit is due. Whenever I go in this Best Buy I'm always greeted and the staff is very happy, upbeat and helpful. In fact when we had returned a Blu-ray my husband accidentally packed our HDMI cord in with the return box. When we called them the woman who was handling the call gave 200% that day! She set out to find our return, which was back on the shelf already, and found our HDMI cord and set it aside for us to pick up. Wow! Who does that?! Excellent customer service. Thank you! read more

One of the worst Best Buys I've been in but that seems to be in style as I haven't found many that are very good. The customer service is atrocious. The employees stand around and talk and do nothing. It is impossible to find anyone in the departments that you are looking in. I've been rudely told by employees to go find a different person rather than they taking the time to find the right person and direct me. And then when you do find what you are looking for, it is only a display model as nothing ever seems to actually be in stock. Maybe that's not all their fault but really this place needs better management and employees need to know how to actually help customers, approach them, and offer advice. Quit hiring a bunch of jagoffs, please, and get your act together if you want my business. It was bad enough to do a return within their very limited window, now you need the actual receipt?! I'm done. I brought it to the Best Buy in St. Cloud and the installer there was extremely helpful! I bought a product and got installed to my Toyota Sienna 2021 at Best Buy St. Cloud. The tech guy who did the installation messed up some sensors on the car and the car started showing up engine light. I didn't suspect this was caused by the Best Buy technician and went to Toyota dealer in St. Cloud. They did diagnostic test which I have paid around $130. They concluded that the installation of the starter caused sense malfunction and they cleared up the cache log. I went back to Best Buy and they guy totally ignored and started blaming the Toyota, while I have all the details. The starter itself wasn't working well and my wife and kids went through a lot because of the cold weather! There was some damage as well caused by the wiring of this gadget. He finally fixed (for the most part) but tried to go and claim my money back ($130). Best Buy put me through a lot until I stop calling them! I have the receipt and prove of all this but they opted to subdue me to submission I don't forget it! read more

Later in the day, I called back two more times, with the same problem. The time of their customers is clearly not important to Best Buy in Waite Park, MN. There is NO customer service at Best Buy anymore! They don't listen to the customer. When you have run out of options and call corporate they make you jump through hoops to talk to someone and you need to know a first and a last name! Who gives out their last name anymore? They act like they are afraid and only give an initial if that. Geek squad support is mostly in a foreign country that I refuse to deal with. These people can't speak the language or transfer us to the US like we are told by Geek Squad that they can do. I will not shop Best Buy again, once they get the money, they don't care! I will not EVER use the geek squad again. I had on Tech delete my pictures, files and emails I needed without a BACKUP!!!! But again, they already had my money so why would they care!? Stopped in last week to get speaker wire and add banana plugs to it, which can be tricky. Salesman assured me they could do that and it would be ready the following evening. Then when I stopped back in, nothing had been done, and another associate said they don't do that! He said that they would have to come out to my home to 'install' the speaker wire, at a minimum of $100. I complained later to the manager that this is not the kind of 'service' I would expect from a Best Buy. Ultimately I went down the road to Audio Video Extremes where they were happy to take care of me. I spent over $10,000 on home stereo gear at Best Buy (Magnolia) and this is what I get! I have found this store at times to be just fine, but Best Buy is inconsistent, and today's experience registers on the *very* disappointing end of the scale. Less than a year ago, I purchased a Zagg screen protector for my iphone. At the time, their explanation of the warranty procedure should have been more complete. Of course, had I known the amount that I would have to fork out for shipping and return (Best Buy handles NONE of it) in order to get my promised warranty replacement, I most likely would not have purchased the protector. These stores are last of mohecans and it's great. While I was in town whats better then roaming around a floor full of discount electronics. Some day soon the experience of the large retail electronic store shopping with be a thing of the past, so enjot it while you can. My visit to Best Buy St. Cloud MN, was a waste of time, and they lost $800 in sales for an answer so ridiculous that even the store manager dismissed my claim as "I trust the installer's decision, he's been with us for 15 years". All I asked was to install the radio in such a way so it would stay on even if I took the key off the ignition. Per their 15-year veteran installer, it could not be done. Wow, this is my 4th car I brought in to BB and it got done w/out telling me that a "special equipment is needed, and we do not have it here". Really? Send back your installer to training and to learn more about wiring it differently. read more

Stopped in to pick up a 50" LCD TV this past week. Not single person around to help so I grab a cart loaded it up & headed to the check put. The TV didn't fit on the cart, kept slipping off. The cashier at the checkout was nice & asked if I needed any help taking it out but I figured I had it handled. As I leaving out the loss prevention guy at the door took two seconds to look up from his phone and say have a nice day. As I walk out the building the tv slides off the cart so I stop, rather than fighting with the undersized cart & 50" tv I decide to carry the tv & leave the cart on the side walk, I get to my truck & load the tv in the back. I jump into my truck forgetting about the cart I left right outside the door. As I'm leaving I see a Best Buy employee standing behind the cart I left four feet from the front door staring me down, keep in mind this store was absolutely dead at 2:00 on a Thursday. As I continue leave he continues to stare and as I pass give discussed gesture. I don't know his role at this location but I have the feeling he may have so sort of supervisory role. I worked at Best Buy while I was going to college back in the day when they had virtually zero competition. We never treated even rude customers this way. We appreciated everyone who came in & bought from us, in fact we would have happily went out of our way to take care of the cart. I will guarantee that if this culture of this store or Best Buy corporate that this store &/or the Company will close. I am planning on buying an Apple watch & a new laptop in the next week or two and I will guarantee it won't be from Best Buy. Its sad to see this happen read more

Ok my 1st bad experience @ this Best Buy. My Husband bought a tablet covered under silver member ship giving a longer return policy. We were WELL within the return window when the battery went bad. Instead of HELPING they told us to go TALK to Samsung. THIS is NOT what I expect NOR what I will tolerate when we are within our given timeframes. Went here twice recently for purchases and was very pleased with my experience. Had multiple friendly and knowledgeable staff walk up and offer to assist us, good selection of products, and reasonable prices. Yes, you may be able to get some things cheaper on the internet (but several of the products I price compared to Amazon were the same price!), but there is definitely something to be said for being able to see and feel a product in person before you buy it and also the ease of returning it if you don't want it or it is defective. Both times were were at this Best Buy, we got excellent customer service, good prices, and a good selection. And we were even able to recycle our unwanted electronics like TVs and computers! I was told by an employee at Best Buy as I walk in the door that I could earn money by downloading this app called shop kick, bought a computer $800 and showed the guy at the check out the QR code to earn points to earn $, they couldn't scan this QR code, so I was a little upset that they wasted my time even talking to me about an app and me being dumb enough to actual believe them, I confronted the employee about the app not working and asked him to not tell others about this app if it doesn't work in their store, all he could say to me is his boss told him to tell people about it! read more

Salespeople are friendly and knowledgeable, prices are good and it's just fun to walk around and see everything that's on display.
