Attempted to return a brand new galaxy watch 7 that the store is still selling for the exact price that I bought it for. They will not accept the return because I am past the 15 day return window. Unfortunately for me, I was not aware of the return window and did not make it back to the store to return it within that time frame. I inspected my receipt I received after ordering it online and there is nothing anywhere that notes a time limit on when the item could be returned. Given that the store is still actively selling the item at the same exact price it seems reasonable that an exception could be made, but they will not entertain that, even as an exchange instead of a return. If they were no longer selling the item or if it was now listed at a lower price than I would understand but the fact that they are still selling this item at the same price makes it feel completely asinine that they will not accept the return. They would rather lose a customer for life than go out of their way to help you. read more

Had the most expensive insurance plan which covers all purchases and lets you return or exchange with no hassle...well they automatically renewed my membership which I didn't want and today I went to exchange an Xbox controller which was purchased when I had the plan but has recently lapsed the manager told me he would only exchange if I renewed my membership! Guy had the worst attitude with me like I was some junkie trying to return stolen items. I will NEVER shop there again and advise anyone else to look online instead. read more

I will never use geek squad service or Best Buy ever again. They called me the day of my appointment the time that they're supposed to be here , to tell me that my appointment was cancelled in their system because they were unable to order the part for my TV because it was no longer being made, but I did not see that my appointment was cancelled under my account . I waited a week for them to order the part for my television.The repair guy ordered the parts right in front of me not sure why when he was placing the order that it didn't say not available to order and he assured me that the order went through. I'm very upset that no one called me within that timeframe to let me know that the part was no longer being made for my television and my appointment was cancelled . Deceptive sales practices. I have the whole deal: BestBuy credit card, BestBuy protection plan, BestBuy "Membership." I scouted a computer and monitor in the store, waited for a sale. I was told I have 60-day price protection. I cleared the purchase with my business partner at work that week, and the next week, bought a computer and monitor online from BestBuy. In tiny letters at the bottom of the monitor's receipt, it says the sale will be fulfilled by some company. APPARENTLY, that's a 3rd party SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO HONOR THE 60-DAY PRICE PROTECTION I GET WITH MY FANCY MEMBERSHIP. The monitor is on sale today, one week after I "bought" it from BestBuy.com. I had a bad experience when I ordered a MacBook Pro online. It was supposed to be available at the store with the configuration I was looking for. After a few hours and the order status never being updated from "preparing," I called to check on the status. The person on the phone asked me to hold on while she checked the order status. After a while, she told me my order was ready, and I could come in to pick it. I noticed the app order status was not updated yet, but since was told it was ready, I decided to drive to store from Boston. Luckily, the traffic was not too bad. When I arrived, I went to the pick-up counter, and there was a young, rude employee who didn't let me talk. He just said to hold on since he was just arriving and logging on to the computer. When he was done and scanned my order on the app, he said that my order was not ready and asked why I was there. I tried to explain that I had called and someone told me my order was ready for pick-up. He responded with a rude attitude, saying it was not true because I did not talk to the pick-up team. How was I supposed to know that someone from the store told me it was ready? Anyway, he said they would prioritize my order, but I needed to wait. I said okay. After a while, and with no update from him, I checked with another person who started working at the pick-up counter. He checked and told me they had only one of those computers at the store, and they could not find it. How is this possible? He said I needed to come back another time because they needed between one and two days to locate the computer. This was absurd. I left the store, and 15 minutes, I got a notification on the app that my order needed to be canceled or wait for 10 days to see if they find the computer. This was ridiculous. I spent hours driving for nothing. They were rude and unprofessional. Very incompetent employees. Best Buy needs to review this store's management and hiring and onboarding process. read more

I went in to return a Sauna, and the checkout/return line was very speedy considering the amount of people in line. Only took about 2 minutes!! The man who helped me process the return (his name was somewhere along the lines of Harret not completely sure though) was quick, kind, and helpful. He went to go grab us a new one and it took less then a minute and we were out of there very fast! Overall, store was very busy (week after Christmas) , but staff was great at managing that and they were on top of helping customers with smiles on their faces! Needed a new computer for work and picked one that was either in stock here or in Attleboro. Salem is a shorter distance and saving the tax meant it was a no brainer. I stood in a line for store pick up that moved quickly. They checked my id, and I had a computer. Store was busy but everything was running smooth. I can say without any doubt whatsoever that this is the worst Best Buy and Geek Squad in the United States. There is little to no staff that should remain in place. Like Gabriel this evening who was at first condescending and rude only to later offer the Best Buy shuffle I.e. lots of empty promises but no post sale help what so ever. The staff and management at this Best Buy appear to be driven by sales alone. Over the last 4 months and I have dealt with about 15 managers and staff who were all utterly incompetent or compulsive empty promisers or both. It has taken me a long time to draw this conclusion, in part because my condo here is a work base, not my home. Four months ago I bought high end equipment. Each piece I purchased was at the recommendation of a team of Best Buy and Magnolia (the Best Buy black shirted "smoother" talkers) instruction. I also purchased the full Geek Squad repair coverage. My entertainment system has never worked right. In home visits impose a 4 hour window during which you are confined to your home. Using your phone is risky. The Geeks appear to look for any excuse to bail on a job and move onto the next one. I have come to this conclusion. In any event I have had about 10 in home confinement visits and my system remains inoperative. My TV, sound bar, blue ray, and "high tech" remote are little more than paper weights and this evening are again totally inoperable. The Geek Squad, in conjunction with Best Buy/Magnolia management, took off when they forgot to bring the equipment I paid for. Managers Jose and Michael were involved throughout this picture of incompetence. None of the problems this group of "Rocket Scientists" diagnosed turned out to be the simple problem the rep from LG discovered in no time. Yet they assuredly up-sold me at every opportunity. It was also represented that I would receive their standard "white glove" level service. If this is your idea of white glove service you are all set. If not go elsewhere. I went to purchase an office printer. Not a cheap one I wanted a big and good one to replace my Canon image class 6100 series. I walked although the store not one employee said a word to me. I finally located the printer section. I walked past a Best Buy employee leaning on an end shelves. I was looking at the printers and opening them up to see how well built they are and the cartridges and the paper tray . So it made noise. The printers I was looking at were over $500. The employee was still leaning there not paying any attention to anyone. Then I hear hi joking with another employee. So I walked away to see the washing machines. Myself and a couple were looking at the washers. After a few minutes the man said good luck, he thought they have been avoiding them. They walked away. So I walked away. On my way out I walked by two more employees that were busy with each other. The man at the desk by the doors didn't say a word either. So if you don't buy a computer or a sound system, no one is going to help you. If you just buy something off the shelf, a cashier will take your money for purchasing an item. The store is extremely nicely merchandise and a playground for a techie like me. Unfortunately I bought four Google home Mini's in various different colors. I came in the next day to exchange one of the colors to the color my daughter wanted and they wanted me to pay the difference of the sell price that was the day before and the current price for the same thing in a different color. I returned all four out of principle. Take care of your customers and do the right thing. I wait for them to go on sale again and I'll buy them somewhere else. This day in age a store like Best Buy should really consider making better decisions for the customer. It may seem Petty but I won't shop there over $15 Update - I have shopped at this Best Buy since and service has been very good. Worst experience ever. My boyfriend and I placed an order for a new tv on 12/2, cyber Monday. We waited months for this specific day to get a great deal on a tv we normally wouldn't be able to afford. We paid with our credit card and set up a pick up day for today, Saturday 12/7, and confirmed three times with three different agents that we had 5 days from the scheduled pick up day to pick up our order. We are driving from Boston up to this store because the tv we purchased was an open box deal that we spent hours researching and looking for that was only at this one store. We start driving the hour drive to go pick up our tv and more than half way in, we get a text saying they've cancelled our order. We tried to call the store to get an explanation but you can't get to the specific store, it's just a generic call center that can't give you any details, reasonings or transfer you to the store. I messaged the text message option for customer service and am still waiting for a response hours later. This is the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. We wasted time and money driving to NH and back for no reason. read more

I purchased an Air Conditioner from Best Buy Online and picked it up at The Salem, NH location. The pick up process went well but when I got the Air Conditioner home, I found that it was missing the Remote Control. The Power Cord had obviously been unpackaged and hastily tied in a knot and replaced in the box. It is very apparent that Best Buy had resold a customer returned Air Conditioner without checking its contents for quality and completeness. It is no small inconvenience to carry an 8000 BTU Air Conditioner into a house only to find that it's not intact, contact the store and then return it, while operating under the constraints of the pandemic. I expected a lot more from Best Buy. Needless to say, they have no similar Air Conditioners in stock at this time for a return and replacement. I will avoid doing business with Best Buy Salem, NH due to their lack of quality control. read more

The Best Buy is the worst location i have ever had to do business. Employees are inept and rude. Bought a $1700 DELL laptop, it had problems within 8 months of purchase. Geek Squad could not fix it! The Geek Squad manager, Sean, was very rude and actually told me i had to go to manufacturer. This is still under warranty, under an extended warranty....and it still cost me another $100 to get the laptop repaired thru DELL! Buy elsewhere. The price i paid, i could have gotten a much better machine, with better personal service at a local PC specialty shop. So much for the chain stores warranties and coverages! I ordered a TV wall mount and also an installation. Well, they couldn't install until two weeks later so they shipped the wall mount first and I paid for it. Then they charged me for it again. Then they bundled it with the installation charge. So yes, one item paid for THREE TIMES. Getting them to reverse a charge is pure hell. You're put on hold for hours and then disconnected. I have currently spent about five hours dealing with these people with no end in sight. read more

I ordered a product valued at $600 from Best Buy online for curbside pickup. I followed instructions during my pickup. I got a 4 digit code to show the representative when they came out with my product but they never came! I went in to inquire & was told I already picked up the order but I didn't. They kept me there for an hour telling me they were straightening it out then came up with a ridiculous story that I authorized someone else to pick it up. They had no proof of authorization of course. They would not give me the product I ordered or give me a refund. LUDICROUS!!! None of them could care less either despite the fact that the delivery guy said he had seen me waiting out there. I had to call & put in a dispute with my credit card company & cancel my card. Who knows what other personal info Best Buy gave out!! I called 1-888-BEST-BUY, their customer service line & got disconnected 2x. DON'T TRUST THEM, DON'T DO IT IS MY ADVICE! read more

I find that this store is as good as the sales person that you get. If you are interested in home theater, specifically Magnolia I would strongly recommend you make time to meet with Justin P. He is awesome and doesn't try to oversell you on product. They have a new Home Theater Manager who transferred from the Nashua, NH store. His name is "Buddy" and he is very helpful when it comes to complex purchases, open box price adjustments, etc. Another diamond in the rough is Chris (shorter guy) in home theater. Best Buy will price match to Amazon.com or any store within a certain radius of the store however here is the catch.... All Best Buys in the country charge the exact same price for their items so if you can show that a store in South Florida has a refrigerator for $500 less than BB you just need to prove that the store is within x miles of ANY Best Buy. Best Buy offers a very good warranty through Geek Squad and it might seem expensive at the time of purchase but it happens to be beneficial on high end products because you can renew the warranty before it is set to expire whereas a warranty like AppleCare is not renewable. I also find that the customer service desk is very slow at times but after seeing some of the "games" people play on returns I understand why they go through everything with a fine tooth comb. I like that this location has an Apple space, Samsung space and a newly created Microsoft space. read more

I have just had the worst customer experience I have ever had in my life. Two weeks ago I was looking to buy a gaming PC. I ended up getting two computers that did not work, but this alone was not the biggest issue. If you are having any issues with a purchase, you will be HARD PRESSED to find ANY accountability from Best Buy. After spending at least 15 hours of my life, taking an entire day away from work to receive a delivery, and driving countless miles back and forth between returns, the store in all their grace offered me... 50 dollars off of my next (also possibly broken) purchase. When I asked to speak to the manager, someone who had no authority to provide recompense for their failure to assure product quality came to represent the store. When I pressed to speak to THEIR superior they were unable/unwilling to come out and only offered input through the first manager. If you ever find yourself in a similar experience, the store will be sure to note that they have no accountability over how the product is handled in shipment. This redirects responsibility, and is an excuse for a failure to hold their supply chain accountable. read more

Had the worst experience here last month. Came home from college for Thanksgiving break. My school laptop stopped working and I had no access to on campus tech assistance so I called Best Buy. Spoke to a woman on the phone about the tech issues I was having. I asked her if there was any low cost assistance I could receive for some help with my laptop. She said that they could look at it and tell me what's wrong for free (I asked her multiple times if it would be free because I did not have a lot of money being a college student and she confirmed every time that there would be no cost) and I planned on getting it fixed when I returned to school. She made me an appointment and confirmed that it would be at the Salem location. I showed up and asked the first worked I saw where I go for my appointment. He made jokes misdirecting me and thought it was funny. I was immediately annoyed. He finally told me the right place to go and I went up and told the worker my name and that I had an appointment. He said I did not have an appointment and I told him that I had spoke with a representative on the phone who had made me an appointment at this time and at this location. He still claimed to have no record of it. He then proceeded to ask what was wrong with my laptop. I told him that it would not turn on and that I had no idea why. He then said "If you don't know then I can't help you." The whole reason I came here is because I didn't know what was wrong and was looking for someone to help me figure it out. He then told me that if I wanted someone to examine it that it would cost $100. I was so confused. I told him that the lady I spoke to said it would be free. He rudely restated "No, it's $100." After that I was very frustrated as I was told it would be free, I was told an appointment was made for me, I was laughed at and misdirected around the store, then received an attitude from the employee who was supposed to assist me. Will NEVER return here to purchase an item or to have an item fixed. Worst experience. New staff and TRAINED staff are needed at this location. Completely disgusted and disappointed. read more

I have been going here most of my life and recently the new staff sucks. I was in the store like the 2 days before Christmas and it was nearly dead, quite shocking in my opinion. I was there for 30 minutes walking back and forth trying to get help. 2 employees asked if I needed help and I said yes and they walked away and said someone will be over shortly. But, you know what, Tyler saw me and changed the whole experience for me. He came over and asked me how I was doing and if I needed help. I said yes and seamlessly helped me get the GoPro hero 9 my girlfriend sent me to get. He made me feel as though we have known each other for years. He talked with me the whole time and didn't do the whole "I'm just going to get you out of here asap" thing that most retail people do. Someone promote this dude or give him a raise! read more

In the last year I've bought a laptop and a new TV from Bestbuy in Salem. The guy who sold me my laptop was very good, explained the various models well, never pushy, showed me a model that was a great value. I researched the TV I wanted ahead of time and bought it online with a store pickup. The price was great, better than Amazon. As an aside, while waiting to pickup my TV, I noticed the was a long checkout line with only a single cashier. There were a number of clerks in the area. Yesterday I had one of the most unpleasant shopping days in my life. I went to Best Buy, Salem, NH to purchase a GPS for my truck. When I arrived it was apparent that the store was not very busy. There were few cars in the parking lot and a sprinkle of shoppers were observed in the store. The store employees were mingling in several groups in the vicinity of the front door. I went to the electronics section and there was not a salesperson in sight. I stopped numerous employees walking by and they told me that someone would be there shortly. I went to the front desk four (4) times and they could not help me. I waited 35-40 minutes and no one came by to assist me. One employee that I stopped told me that he was not trained in that department and if he was he was, he was not trained in the usage of the key. All anyone had to do was open the locked GPS case and give me the item. I went back to the front desk for the final time and he mumbled something about the store managers. I left the store, went to my home and bought the same item on Amazon at a cheaper price. Observation: I remember that not too many years back, Best Buy had 8-10 check out counters. Well, Best Buy, you almost got $2,000 from me yesterday, but you blew it! I concluded my online research, and I decided on a TV and a Wii system. I was going to buy online from another vendor, but when I saw on your site that both items were at stock at this store, I decided to go for immediate gratification. Just to be sure, I called your store and let the phone ring on speaker phone for 10 minutes and no one picked up. I did it again and the same thing. I thought, "Wow, they must be busy." Tried one more time and someone picked up the phone and then hung it up. Yes, I know I should have taken it as a sign. But, I got in my car and drove 30 miles to your store. Surprising no one picked up the phone because there were lots of employees just wandering around talking to each other. The team member I spoke to in the video game section was not particularly friendly and seemed annoyed. Also, the items were out of stock. I went to the TV section and things started looking up. I was asked if I needed help several times and the man that helped me asked me some questions to make sure I knew some details of the TV I selected. He looked it up and indicated there were 12 in stock. I waited some time for him to bring out my new TV, but he returned empty-handed saying there were none in stock. So, I drove back the 30 miles and ordered my TV and Wii from Amazon. Guess where I'll be buying my DVD player? read more
