Patrick convinced us to go with a Kohler generator versus a Generac or any other brands because of the efficiency and after doing some independent research, I did not disagree with his assessment. Unfortunately, we've had some issues with the unit over the years, and this company becomes less and less visible with each and every time that they are needed. I would say that Kohler is the brand to go with but find another authorized installer and service company that handles Kohler, which is not this company. They are a one tech company with owners who are completely removed from the day to day.

Prior to engaging them, I simply ignored generator maintenance, so for 5 years or so following installation no one changed the oil, checked the timing, tested the battery, or throughly serviced this expensive and essential amenity. It finally dawned on me that when I really need it to perform in an emergency it needs to work, and professional maintenance is essential. I reached out to Generator Power Solutions some years ago. I didn't know them nor was I sure of their reputation or their professionalism. I was lucky! They annually perform a nuts to bolts inspection, change oil & filter and make sure the machine is performing to specs and is ready to work properly whenever needed. Their office staff has always been pleasant, courteous, and professional and their techs have been top notch. Sue has serviced my machine for the past several years and has been great! She knows her stuff, takes her time and doesn't leave until she's satisfied that the generator is fully up to specs and ready to work if called upon. I couldn't be more pleased with this business! I wish all businesses were as dependable and competent as these folks, they have earned my unequivocal recommendation!

So we were pleased with the buying experience to start. Next came the installation, which was on time and professionally done. They subcontracted a plumber to do the work and they noticed a small leak under our kitchen sink while they were here. They fixed that for us at no charge. Next came a problem, and the real reason I felt inclined to write a review. Something was wrong with the control panel in the new dishwasher and the valve to let in the water would not open. They sent out a technician later in the day to confirm the issue. So we were left with a non functioning machine and we're naturally nervous about when this could be resolved. When we called Dracut, they said they would see what they could do. They called us back ten minutes later and told us that the model we ordered would not come in again for a while but they would get us the better, more expensive model installed in two days at no extra cost to us. Now we have a fully functioning and quiet machine and are extremely happy with the service Dracut provided. We understand that issues like this happen that are out of their control, but they recognized the urgency and fixed the problem without any real pushing from us. Lots of work! The guys at David Electric came & did me up. The cost was well under the price I had expected to pay. The employees were prompt, neat, polite and cleaned up after themselves (yay!). In the years since I've had them out for a few other lighting changes. My beautiful expensive dining room chandelier had some manufacturing issues. The hooks used to hold up the chandelier would break. Yeah always fun to look into the dining room and see the chandelier hanging by two out of three arms! But the boys at David Electric replaced all the bad hooks once I got replacements. Next big job is to replace some seriously old wiring. Got a great price on the job. Now I'm just saving up my pennies so I can afford it. No doubt as to who I am gonna call when I'm ready though!

I recently had to replace our water heater which flooded the house during vacation, the over oven microwave which kept spinning but didnt heat, and then when we removed it we found the kitchen would need some work too so IKEA cabinets here I come. The fridge was having minor issues with water pressure and filtering it at a normal rate into cups or in the ice maker. SO we had to shut it off and really what good is a fridge when you have 4 kids if it wont provide water? It's really not ideal. They just refuse to fill up the filter jug after they use it and then put it empty back in the fridge leaving the fridge half open as they scan for a rogue bottled water left from someones takeout. SO I went in search of a new fridge. They can be $300 or $10,000. I wanted a $10k fridge for $300 if possible. That is how I found Patron. They sell gently used and recently repaired or brand new fridges from store closing sales. They have a small storefront on a main street in Lawrence which is worth going to since Tripoli Bakery is nearby and they have vegan italian pastry. SO I took teh drive up there to investigate. Originally I was looking for another appliance store nearby but they did not have what I needed and I did a yelp search when I got back into the parking lot. Patron was a few blocks away, Ill try it before the day is a loss (minus pastry). I walked in and the person who worked there was a younger woman, very tall, very nice. She was inundated with phone calls as they also do repairs. She showed me around and helped me measure but a 33in fridge with a separate kid drawer or snack door is like looking for a purple unicorn. They supposedly exist but they aren't anywhere when you go to find them. So she directed me to the warehouse which was a few minutes down the road on Union street by the COVID testing site. If you are not adventurous this probably isn't for you. I was so excited. A HUGE warehouse full of appliances and I could pick whatever I wanted and the owner Diego would discuss it with me. I started snaking through and I came upon so many that I liked but alas they were all 36in. I called my husband and said we are going to need to redo the whole kitchen this time. I am getting a bigger fridge. He was cool with it. I found a 5 door/drawer fridge by Frigidaire that I had seen before and dreamed about. It was a scratch and dent with a fan that needed repair. They could have it ready for me in a few days. They could deliver for a small fee because I was pretty far away (usually its free nearby) and I was sold. $900 for a $4000 fridge. That is right.... 78% off. BTW they have subzeros and basic fridges as well. So many options (say this in the voice of step brothers "so many activities")!!! So I left a deposit the rest would be Cash on Delivery (COD... like 80s commercials that said no CODs for all those toys you had to be 18 to buy). It also came with a warranty 3-6 months depending on the one you buy. Domingo will come out and fix it if there are any problems. Delivery was $50 and included setup/install. I was so excited. Domingo said it'd be Thursday or Friday. I thought that was too good to be true so I explained I was flexible and he could take his time (i shouldn't have said this) but he insisted Thursday or Friday. I called on Thursday to see if they were coming. No dice they would come tomorrow the phone voice informed me. Okay great. Friday came and went and I panicked. I drove there they said they would come Saturday that the fridge deliveries were immense and they couldn't fit it on the truck. OK Saturday 12noon. No worries. Noon comes and goes. I drive back to the warehouse. Domingo is there and explains he just reprioritized because i was so flexible. This is where my attempt at flexibility became miscommunication. SO then they loaded it up in his personal pickup and they drove it to my house and carried it inside, set it up, took their cash and headed home. The experience was overall a good one. The store staff I dealt with was always top notch and amazingly kind. The warehouse crew also was wonderful. The delivery could've gone better but it was an issue I feel like I started so I give them some slack on that. Would I go back in the future YES would I request delivery when I live this far away probably not, local delivery only is probably a better choice. So far the fridge is great and I am really happy with it. We have a 3 month warranty and hopefully I don't ever need it. Tip: always go in person always handle everything in person it will make you feel more confident with an otherwise untraditional appliance purchase. Value is threw the roof! It's worth it.
