Very helpful staff they made suggestions which I found invaluable asked for help from supervisors

On 6/29/26, I went to Best Buy Vallejo to purchase an additional Ring camera. I asked to see the Ring box so I could read the specifications of the camera as there are several cameras present. The sales associate told me that he cannot allow me to see the Ring box unless I am purchasing it. I've never heard of this policy before. I spoke with Manager Francisco who then allowed me to review the Ring box. I find this to be very poor customer service. There is an armed security guard at the front door of the store. So, I cannot understand why customers are not allowed to review the specifications of items. I won't be back to this store and I've been a customer for 10+ years. read more

DO NOT COME HERE I've purchased many items here without any issues. I recently bought an open box item out of state and unfortunately it had issues so I went to Best Buy Vallejo to exchange it and purchase the new one. I explained to them my situation and showed the manager the video, he straight up said he will not accept it and sounded as if he was accusing me of breaking the computer. Why would I go out of my way to do that? I even told him it's within the 15 day return policy and it's an open box. I was willing to pay more for an exchange of a new computer. I called customer service and they suggested I mail back the computer back to Kansas where I originally bought it. I cannot wait for weeks to do that considering I'm in school. I went to another Best Buy and since I was within the 15 day policy I showed my receipt and they exchanged my computer. I paid the difference which is what I wanted to do in the first place for a NEW LAPTOP. do not waste your time here. I purchased a combo washer/dryer with installation and haul away. They use 3rd party installers. The drain hose was installed improperly and suggested I had plumbing problems. After several plumber assessments the plumbing was fine. Called back for installation and the drain hose was damaged so they wouldn't install it. Purchased a new drain hose and they still wouldn't install. Also the haul away guys lied and said I wasn't home but called that morning and asked how to get out of the gated complex. Ending up returning the combo and purchased from Mike's Appliances in Pinole. Installed 3 days after purchase no problems. read more

Well I've been dilly-dallying over a few purchases but the combination of a heap of recycling (Best buy will accept batteries and some electronics for recycling -very handy!) and future tariffs tipped me off the fence. Once I located the section that stocked my chosen stuff it was still a bit of a hunt. Items were not arranged on any order that I could figure out. Extremely expensive feature loaded versions nestled cozily next to extremely low cost versions. Was this designed to slow me down and stop me from going directly to the item which I had already picked out on the website? Because it worked. I looked at TV accessories that were more expensive than my TV. Eventually I found my pick but it took an astonishingly long time to spot it. Checkout was swift and efficient. read more

This review isn't for the store as a whole, but for the geek squad. I had an appointment to get my battery replaced on my phone. I was stressed having had a previous appointment cancelled (due to a staff member being sick) and having limited time to be able to drive here. Ariyana was so wonderful to work with. She was patient and reassuring. Very professional particularly given how tired and frustrated we were. She even managed to get the repair done before the end of the evening so I didn't have to drive back to Vallejo. I am incredibly grateful. read more

Context: I went to Best Buy intending to buy an Apple Watch Story Time: Upon asking, I was told by a store employee they did NOT have Apple Watch Fitting Stations, and then was quickly dismissed. After browsing the store, we found THEY DO IN FACT have an Apple Watch Fitting section! Conclusion: Did the employee know this? I think so. Did the employee care to help us/provide a satisfactory customer service experience? Absolutely not. I really want to shout out the amazing service I received from a Geek Squad employee named Aleks. On one of my work days, my computer crashed, but luckily I was starting early and got in without having to wait. Aleks quickly figured out what was wrong and jumped right into fixing it, which I really appreciated. It feels like we often hear a lot about bad service, but not enough about the good stuff. I just hope this gets to the right Geek Squad folks so Aleks can get some well-deserved recognition for the fantastic customer service and repair skills! read more

Today is the first of May. Guess where I'm at today? I'm in Vallejo at Best Buy. I've been meaning to do this for a long time. Today is the day. The other week, I saw something that I liked. I really wanted the Sony CH520 Wireless Black Headphone, but today I showed up to this location and it was all sold-out for some reason. So I went with a JVC Wireless Deep Bass On-Ear Black Headphone and a Sony MDREX14AP Earbud Black Headphones instead for this time. Some travel essentials, something for when I'm at Signature Aviation OAK - Oakland Int'l Airport you know? This Electronic Store is actually right next to another Red Lobster, Korean BBQ, DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, Vallejo Automall, and Verizon. But the thing about me is, if I want it, I got it. No one approached me to check on me until I had to find someone to help me. I saw employees around. I saw two of them at the front chopping it up like they're hanging out at a barbecue. Corporate abandonment. Customer service low. Not staff fault. Corporate and management need to shift budgets for help in store. This completely sucks, what once was a great store to spend at has become an almost abusive and bad hack experience. Big fat "F" for corporate and management. This store is treated with less attention I can tell. Bean counters need to see them selves as working for the customer because we do have choices and with out us there is no company we buy. I spent around 400 bucks today (not unusual). Been a loyal customer I am just hoping this company gets their sh#% together, it's embarrassing. Not to me but to corporate. Fix it. I went to Best Buy in Vallejo to look for a new laptop. John and his 25 years of customer service was a Godsend. From the time he spent educating me about which laptop to purchase, I knew I had the right person. Most computer geeks (and I say this with all due respect) forget that they are talking to a novice. John spoke in terms that were easily understood, and he actually gave me a tax tip about my purchase. Who doesn't love a one stop shop! This man is good business for Best Buy and my purchase was well worth the price. The next time you're in Best Buy in Vallejo and you're in the market for a computer, ask for John. Too busy staring at his phone then actually helping a customer .Wear some decent pants to work too man I get a retail job doesn't need a strict dress code but the pants you got are tighter than this economy. Dont know why this location has less than 3 stars but I can tell you Will at the phone department goes out of his way even when he is not working. He responded to issues I had with my order when I texted directly to his number in a timely manner. So if yur looking to buy or trade yur old phone, look for Will. read more

I've purchased my washer and dryer here when I first moved to Vallejo. I thought the service was great and the delivery, appliance hook up was easy and they also picked up the old unit to be recycled. Recently, I went to purchase an AirPlay for my Beats Pro. I then decided I didn't need it, and I didn't have time to return it right away as I was leaving for my trip the next day. Fast forward, I returned to the store to return the AirPlay. I was told it was over two weeks and they couldn't do anything explained by the cashier Steve. I did ask for the manager and the manager. Francisco explained their policy, to my defense, a two week return policy is a bit short. Competitive stores give you 30 day return policy and then I was suggested to sign up with their membership, which was $50 and I said I don't need the membership because I'm not returning anything else. Hence, I purchased appliances from Best Buy and never had to return anything. Their reasoning behind the membership was to extend the return policy up to two months again I mentioned I will not need the membership because I normally do not have to return anything that I purchased from them. So he didn't promise a refund but instead he did give me a store credit for $60. I thought that was a great compromise. I was very appreciative and I'm sure I'll be spending the $60 back to the store anyway for something more practical. read more

Just terrible cashier service. I can see why people bombard this place with bad reviews. I'm surprised they're still in service. No "hello" no "thanks for stopping by" the guy who rang me out completely ignored ALL social interaction. I get things are busy sometimes, but giving your customer a terrible customer interaction isn't going to help. I remember now why I rarely come to this Best Buy. I would give no stars if I could for the Manager for AT&T section Mo. I walked into the store not wanting anything about AT&T because I was being charged too much. He pulled me aside offered me two new iPhones and fixed my line. All great till it wasn't. Now I been to more AT&T stores and back lines trying to fix the mess he made. My bill for this month? $980 because usps lost my phone that I traded in. I seriously wish I never saw this manager. I been 3 times now to talk to him and every time employees say oh they're not in. This is a -0 star review. Had an appointment for Saturday, 4 Oct 24 to have someone come out to do some work. I called early Saturday morning since I didn't get a confirmation phone call. It's at that time when they tell me that they overbooked for the day and they can call me around 3:30pm to let me know if they can still come out and the latest time would be 7pm. Are you fucking serious? I'm paying for this service and just now you want to tell me? WTF!!? Why didn't you call the day before or days before to let us know? At this point you should give me a credit for the lack of communication and terrible customer service. Who keeps track of your scheduling? That person should be fired!! Despite these negative reviews, I will share my experience purchasing a 65 inch TV last week because it was amazing. We went into the TV area and were helped by David. He was the most patient sales rep we've ever encountered in big box stores like Best Buy. He took so much time helping us choose the right TV (we had Sony in mind, he recommended LG and we went with his recommendation). We ended up purchasing an open box LG C3 (which we later returned and got the new C4). David bubble wrapped the TV really carefully, went out to our car and made sure it would fit, and even threw in some standing legs for free. The whole thing took about 1.5 hours. David you were the best! I also wanted to shout out to the customer service employees who helped with our price adjustment for the TV (it went $100 cheaper over Labor Day sale). Last month - Went in to buy a Epson printer. They only had the most expensive one available out of six. We left feeling discouraged. Then drove next door to Costco and not only found the exact one we wanted (refillable tanks) but a much better price and they had plenty in stock on hand. Best Buy tried to make us think no one else had them available right now. So glad we didn't listen to the salesman. Yesterday 1/3/22 - I ordered a DVD player and hdmi cable. The following day my husband went in to pick up the order we paid for and they told him the DVD player wasn't ready. Mind you, we received an email about an hour after we placed the order that it was ready. No DVD player and no update to when it would be ready. Tonight I reviewed my Best Buy orders and to our surprise it was canceled. No email or any notification that they canceled. No credit back on our credit card either. We paid for it and now have to wait for a credit? Not EVER going to shop with you as long as I'm breathing! High priced, inconvenient and no customer service. Went there to spend some money yesterday. Rennovating the house, I went to take advantage of their 24 mth zero interest financing. It's a great deal. Got approved for low amount, Best Buy supervisor Francisco assisted me and we got them to raise it up, enough to purchase most of what we needed. Bought a fridge, stove, washer and dryer, dishwasher and a huge TV. Went without a hitch. Francisco was very nice and helped me within 10 mins of my arrival. Handled all the specs, scheduled delivery, addressed all needed warranty, installation, etc... even got a discount of 10% and a $200 gift card. Not bad. 5 stars. Next day, I came back to order the hood for the stove, Francisco saw me after I walked for 5 mins. He said "I will help you", after he helped a customer he was already with, I said, "ok" and waited. 10 mins went by, I saw him helping another customer, I waited another 10 mins and saw him helping another w a MS windows product, he saw me and said, "I will be there", another 5-7 mins later passed and another agent asked if I am being helped. I said, it seems Francisco is busy and I just need to order 1 thing. He said, he would get Francisco and switch w him, so Francisco can help me. Took another 10 mins....when he arrived, it took 2 mins to find out that the hood I needed was OUT OF STOCK !! Little petty (I admit it) to take away a star for that, but, I am expressing only my personal experience and pls take away what you can from this experience and decide for yourself w your own experiences here. I would only have taken 1/2 a star for the irritating 2nd visit, but, I can"t. So, Sorry. The store was pretty empty when I was there, so not sure what all the wait was about...oh well. My boyfriend and I went here to shop around for laptops. He found an "open box" laptop, so a male employee came over to help us with it (I regret not asking for his name). Since it was an open box item, it had to be sent over to another employee, so that it could be reset to factory settings. He told us that it would take a couple minutes and that he would meet us in the front of the store. A couple minutes later, he found us and said he discovered something while restarting the laptop. It had 2 screen burn areas that we had not noticed beforehand. If it wasnt for him, we would have bought the laptop & would have gone through the whole return excursion. He totally could have just ignored the screen burn and sold it to us as is, but he was genuine enough to inform us! We walked out of the store empty handed, but we really appreciate this man's help and honesty! Thank you! read more

I come to Best Buy when my parents are shopping at Costco. I will admit this is the place to go and ditch your parents while they are at Costco. This Best Buy location is in a good place. It is a nice shopping center where Kohl's and Costco is at. What I like about this location is that I can get help compare to the other location I have gone to (Pleasant Hill and Pinole). The Best Buy associate greet me right away before I ask for help. Great customer service! I will come back to this location again. read more

Every employee I saw were just slacking off. Playing in the store wheel chair, flipping the hand scanner. Zero sense of urgency to help. Sales floor was a disaster. Stuff all over the bottom of the shelves where they are supposed to be hung up. Palleted inventory on end caps wich explains why the stock was so anemic looking. Do not order delivery with these folks. Their shipping process is a SCAM. I purchased an item online and they would not make a second attempt at the delivery on the next business day. The attempted delivery was on a Sunday. They returned my item to the store and immediately started the refund process. Now I'm stuck waiting for my money to be returned before I can repurchase the product. This is my son's money and I don't have the money to cover a repurchase until we get refunded. They have NO control of their shipping process. Their customer service apparently can do nothing about it when all they had to do was make a second attempt at delivery. I will never use this service again and do not recommend it to anyone else. Had to give one star in order to post. They don't even deserve that. read more

Was gifted a television that was defective when taken out of the box! After checking with the Pinole store to make sure it could be returned at the Vallejo store, the manager refused to take it back. After it was manhandled by the Vallejo staff then stuffed back in the box, it was more damaged than before! The nastiness and the unusual questions made me feel like I was being accused of something smh! Receipt and warranty in hand which they cancelled after finally getting the tv replaced in Pinole! Went today to buy a monitor and had to wait a looking time - there were no associates willing to help, I see them walking around some talking to each other but when you ask for assistance the response was "someone will be with you shortly" - seriously? Why can't they help a customer when they clearly are not dealing with another customer at that time was beyond me. I went to the cashier counter and finally an associate was called to come and help me - the associate named Cameron has ZERO customer service skills! Yesterday my boyfriend was extremely excited to get a switch that he's been looking for for months. It's been out of stock everywhere. He ordered it via Best Buy Vallejo, he paid the extra to get it here and they texted him confirming the order. Today he received a message saying that the order will be canceled, doesn't explain why & the customer service page has a fat "?" On it. If you're out of stock don't let the system take people's money. Now he has to play a waiting game for the refund cause someone failed to update the system or even manage it properly. Will never use Best Buy again. It would have been one thing if it was just was out of stock but even now after canceling order it still asks if you want to purchase it. Best Buy has never been known for its customer service, but this store sucks. How long have we been in this store with absolutely no one helping us, 02-24-24? The entire DVD/Blu-Ray section has been removed, which makes absolutely no sense. The Meta Universe visor display is garbage. Don't even touch that damn thing or it'll fall apart on you. This store is a ghost town. There is only 1 employee that is visible in this store and they aren't even helping. All the other employees have decided to disappear off into their own world and could give a damn about customer service. It won't be long before this location is boarded up and turned into something else. I have trusted Best Buy for years with my technological needs but now, I'll just go to Amazon. read more

I bought a fridge from them. The one they sent stopped working 2 days in. Their policy is to replace it so they say someone will come out in 2 days with a new one. No biggie. No one comes, no one calls. I call them & they say they won't be able to send anyone out for 3 weeks! I have a family of 6! Trying to live out of a cooler. I'm sure if they didn't have my $ already and I was just outright buying a new fridge they'd have it out a lot soon. read more
