I'd like to find another store in America that has a 14 DAY return policy... even for COMPLETELY unopened items that are not electronics WITH THE RECEIPTS. Recently, we purchased a new desktop computer and a printer from Best Buy. The printer is a HP Smart Tank 5100 series. The associate provided us with several incorrect details during the purchase process. We were instructed to download the Hp.123.com application for the printer, which charges an annual fee of $59.99. The printer was priced at less than $200. The software indicates that an Instant Ink subscription is available; however, after setting up the printer, this subscription was not accessible for the 5100 series. Contrary to the associate's assurance, the printer does not print in draft mode or grayscale. We are incurring significant costs for ink at regular prices, and it is not possible to purchase only black ink; all colors are required. This situation appears to be deceptive. Relying on staff for accurate information is unacceptable when they provide false details. Additionally, we purchased a Microsoft 365 subscription for $179.00, for which a key code was provided on a printed receipt. I inquired whether Geek Squad could assist with the installation on our computer, with a quoted fee of $40.00. Since the computer was purchased at the same location, we were advised to install the software ourselves at home, with the option to return the computer if issues arose. Soonest they could install was 9 days after purchase. Scheduled my entire work week and took PTO for Geek Squad to install my TV. Install guy calls me at 3pm and says he has to cancel...doesn't give me another day as an option to reschedule either. Just says I have to call or go online and reschedule. At this point I wanted a full refund. I call up the store and some guy tells me they have to have the item back in their inventory for them to give me a full refund. Doesn't try to rectify or solve the issue, just tells me to try calling back after 7pm when the truck delivers the tv back to the store. Oh and he tells me it's not a refund, it's an in-store credit only. At this point I felt out of $700 and wasn't going to wait another 9 days for them to maybe reschedule. I took PTO so committed to just mounting and installing the TV myself. I figured they already had my money and there's probably another TV in their inventory, so I went to Best Buy, told the manager that you guys didn't show today for your scheduled install so I want the TV now. He gets me a TV and refunds my install service plan back to my card, so apparently they don't do in-store credits only. All this on top of 2.5 years ago they sold me 2 Hisense TVs for a $1200 "deal". Both TVs crapped out on me within the last few months, shocking considering I've had flat screens that are 15+ years old. I also bought a Geek Squad + service plan with it though! However the sales guy coached me to cancel that plan within 90 days, he said they'll refund the cost in full and I basically get a free install. Ironic how that service plan would've protected me too...Overall: poor service, misleading policies, and unreliable products. Wouldn't recommend. read more

They have had my daughters AirPods for about 3 weeks now. I tried to call in tonight and got transferred to Geek Squad. I had to call back 3 times as each time they were checking on status they disconnected me. Funny thing is - while they are asking me who I am they ask if my cell number is best place to call back if disconnected - why ask this if you aren't going to call someone back? Finally the 4th time I asked for a supervisor and she refused. We went around and around and finally I told her I was just going to head to the local store to deal with it and she said "I am at a national location, not at your local store so do whatever you want." Wow...I'm almost impressed by the arrogance and lack of customer service at this location. We ordered a tv online & went in today to pick it up. We followed store signs to the online order pick up and then had a smug kid tell us to wait in the regular line - when we informed him that we were following their signs he said "well, we don't staff this desk, so..." and then proceeded to tell us how he was doing us a favor by helping us. When they brought the tv out they said that it had to be transported upright and could not lay flat or lean, ok fine, we went to get straps to tie it down and proceeded to load it up while the employees asked us "why we didn't just have it delivered?" Seriously? Why do you care? What's with the attitude? We brought the tv home and found that it had a break that was clearly from being dropped prior to pick up. When we called to ask what our options are, the teenager I spoke to hung up on me! There was no cursing, no raising a voice, they hung up because we voiced displeasure at their insisting we pay a fee to exchange if we wanted delivery (which is listed as free on their website) and told us our only option was pack up the 75" tv, bring it in, and pick up the new tv. Why was pick up suddenly our only option? Why did delivery suddenly have s fee? Why is their recklessness our problem? Mind you, picking up a used tv to recycle when a new one is purchased is $20 per their website. They burned a bridge over a $20 fee. I pre-order an item in November. The day it's supposed to be released, I get an email saying it's delayed (because they oversold it, like they do with everything), and saying I can go to the website and cancel. I go to the website, and the cancel button is grayed-out and I'm told to call. I call, and after twenty minutes I'm told they can't cancel it. I've already bought it at a real retailer who doesn't oversell every item, and so now I have to wait until the thing gets delivered, then return it and wait for my refund. Best Buy is con artists with no clue how to run a business. I wonder why people are flocking to Amazon. Can't wait for you idiots to be out of business. read more

I've come here twice in 2 days and have had to deal with the most rude employee that I've ever been around. He didn't have a name tag but he is an obese, middle aged white guy so hopefully management can figure it out and acknowledge this feedback. The store is now appointment only with Covid concerns, etc. which is fine and understandable. When showing up for my scheduled appointment he couldn't find me on his iPad and tried to tell me tough luck and that I'd have to reschedule. I pulled out my phone and showed him the confirmation and he finally agreed to see what he could do and eventually let me meet with someone. He was asking me what I was there for and I explained I wanted to look into a home theater system (which I know nothing about-hence why I was there to talk with somebody). He continued to ask me specific, technical questions that I didn't know how to answer in a condescending and dismissive tone in front of all the other customers. As I stood there for 15 minutes to eventually have my scheduled appointment granted, I watched and listened to him speak to and treat every other customer as if they were inconveniencing his life by coming there with a rude and in customer centric tone. The next day I had to return to the store because they sold me a speaker stand that didn't work for the speakers that they sold me. And once again, this unpleasant man was talking down to everyone that arrived like they were idiots for not knowing beforehand that it was appointment only while also being rude to those that were there for appointments. When I explained why I was there for the return, he just wanted to explain to me that there were no other options for those speakers and made a big deal about how I wouldn't be able to find anything else there - even though I had already told him I just wanted a refund. To top it off (and the reason I decided to write this review), I watched this employee continue his rude interactions with a mother that showed up with her disabled son looking for a pair of headphones that the don obviously used for some comfort with his disability. The rude man of course made her feel bad and went out of his way to let her know he wouldn't help her, even while her son was visibly upset and confused and needed a new pair of the headphones that he was using. It was mean spirited to say the least and you could feel the uncomfortableness of everyone standing outside the store. Finally, another employee standing off by the side jumped in to offer to possibly help if she just needed that one thing and offered to grab it for her. The large, mean man was visibly annoyed by his colleague's willingness to help and rudely just turned his back to start another interaction with someone he could bully into feeling bad about not knowing about the appointment rule or not knowing 100% every detail about what they needed there. I'm not sure who decided this man with temperament and personality should be the one interacting with customers that want to come there and give them business. I will for sure just go back to using Amazon for everything again if I have to deal with someone like this at a brick and mortar. read more

LG REFRIGERATOR and BEST BUY If you like pieces of furniture in your kitchen, purchase an LG french door style refrigerator. And, be sure you get it at Best Buy. That's what I did. My LG refrigerator sits gleaming in my kitchen, a beautiful Useless object. It quit cooling in late December--under warranty. A few calls through the Best Buy customer service labyrinth got us to Mike in Chicago with LG. He got us a repair lined up --In FEBRUARY! He said that's the way it is. Get another fridge for your garage in the meantime. The nice repairman came and made repairs. it is now March 11 and the refrigerator died again! Phone calls through the labyrinth again! But this time we only need to wait a week. I guess that's an improvement. Spare yourself from refrigerator runaround and skip LG and BEST BUY. read more

This was a great visit to the Village Pointe Best Buy store. It was time to replace a flat screen that crossed over into their after life. I was probably approached by three store associates who were available to ask questions about 4K smart screens. Even after selecting one model, I still asked about another model and differences in features between the two and my questions were answered honestly even though they could have attempted to upsell me more expensive models. Delivery was free and the TV was in stock. This store is conveniently located near the highway and there's always plenty of parking. read more

I like this Best Buy, its larger then most and I have always had great luck with customer service. Most of the staff seem knowledgable and can help sort out the differences in features with all the latest gadgets. They specialize in the mainstream budget items and mid range items, and dabble in high end stuff. They rarely have anything ultra-high end like a top of the line gaming laptop or ultra high end HDTVs. Seeing as how these are probably not big sellers I get why they don't have them. This location, and Nebraska Furniture Mart are both probably the best two places to find gadgets for your house. read more

I had no intention of getting a new phone the other night, but my parents were both in the market, and I decided to tag along. While we waited our turn, Mike, not a Best Buy rep, but a Samsung rep, did a great job explaining the current offers and promotions to us (we're Samsung phone people anyway), and made sure to let us know when we'd be next in line. Buying a new phone is a LONG process, and when Tate was finally available, he did an amazing job of explaining the cost of upgrading, and that the bill would only go up by $5/person. So I ended up getting a new phone, too. It took forever, because of some funky billing on Verizon's side, but Tate was so patient, he was nice to talk to, and he helped us switch over our phones while we were still in the store. I'd highly recommend them if you're in the market to upgrade. read more

Terrible service. My husband and I took advantage of the BOGO for the Samsung S8. They set up the phones for us and handed them to us. When I got home, I noticed mine had two large nicks/scratches on the screen. We went back to the store, and they said we must've done it by putting my phone in my purse. I have had Samsung phones for almost a decade and none scratched like this one. No additional scratches in the 10 days since I've owned it either. They would not make it right by returning the damaged phone to Samsung. As we were leaving, the kid who set up the phones, the guy with the black mobile phone polo and another "manager" were smiling and laughing. I guess it's their goal to send customers away as angry as possible. Job well done guys! Joke's on you cause we won't be back. Bought a laptop before Christmas. It stopped working 3 weeks later. Geek Squad said they couldn't fix it, although they never even turned it on. They offered a refund or store credit. I, unfortunately, took store credit because I needed a laptop. Ordered another laptop. After 3 weeks it still hadn't arrived. I called for an update due to not receiving an updated email. I was told Best Buy hasn't sold that laptop since last year! I asked for a refund. She gave me a partial refund. She said she couldn't provide a full refund because part of the payment was a store credit. When I went to the store for the remaining refund, I brought my original receipt showing I paid for it with my credit card. They still refused to give me a full refund and only allowed store credit. They are quick to take your money, even if they don't sell that product! Then, refuse anything except store credit. What type of corporate white collar crime is this? read more

I had a stereo installed yesterday in my fiancé's truck at this Best Buy location yesterday. I had wonderful customer service from the people who sold me the stereo, made the appointments, picked up the parts to get it installed and then a couple days later to the guys who installed the stereo. I was especially impressed with the guys who installed the stereo. The guys installed the stereo in the truck in a timely manner and did a great job explaining everything once it was ready. Then I left and went about my day but I got a call back about 20 minutes later though because when they were installing a microphone or something they took a small toothpick out of the side of the truck by the door. To anyone else they'd pry throw the toothpick away and think it was gross or weird. The guy called and said he meant to but he forgot to put it back before I left but he was worried it might be sentimental or something meaningful so he wanted to know if I wanted to come back and get it. My fiancé got his truck from his grandpa who has recently passed away. My fiancé's grandpa for some reason always had two toothpicks in his truck along with a few other random things from working on the farm so this was very meaningful for my fiancé. He has lots of memories with him working on the farm and all the little things he'd have with him in the truck. I was SO impressed that these guys installing the radio paid that much attention to the detail and were SO thoughtful to call back about it! read more

I stopped going here for several reasons. One, you can simply buy just about anything they offer at their competitors or online for 25-50% less. Two, nobody here knows anything about any product. You know as much or more than the employees after simply reading the details of an item on its packaging. Three - you can't buy a damn thing here without them asking for every piece of information on you. The last time I went in for a quick, low-dollar item, I was asked for my phone number. I explained that I didn't want to give anything out and I didn't care about rewards programs. The gal said, "Oh," then asked for my email address. I told her I wasn't giving her any information. She then seriously asked me for my address. I told her again that I wasn't giving her any information, and if she asked again, I was going to walk out. She explained that the system required my information, then asked for my email. I was done. I only decided to come back for a Black Friday deal (that happened on Thanksgiving Thursday). I stood in line for over an hour, then they came to hand out tickets for the items, and they only had about a dozen of the TV I went in for. That's just shitty to advertise the hell out of something and only have a few. When the guy told me they were out, I started to make my way out of the line, and he told me if I was willing to pay today, they would order me the same item so I could pick it up in a few days. I wanted to clarify, so I asked him, "So I can go to the TV section, give them my information, pay the advertised Black Friday price, and get that item shipped to the store for pickup?" He said yes. I told him, "Are you sure? Because I don't want to spend another hour freezing in this line if that's not the case." He assured me I could order the item once inside. So I waited. And of course, the guy monitoring the line by the TV area told me that I could not order the item, because it was only a Black Friday deal. I explained what I'd just went through, and he sat there staring at me as if he were bored as shit, so I walked out. My brother bought a bunch of stuff, but after I told him the story, he's going back Monday to return it all. My office, for whatever reason, bought a bunch of equipment there over the past couple of weeks, so I showed them the newegg.com website and the lower prices. They went ahead and ordered everything from Newegg and they'll be returning all of the the stuff they bought (TVs, printers, etc.) this week. After the baby boomers are all retired, crappy, overpriced stores run by idiots and sleezeballs, like Best Buy are all going to go the way of Radio Shack. read more

I passed 3 store representatives in the electronics section (One was Don the manager) and even though they all made eye contact, not one offer to help. I continued to peruse the electronics department and ran into 2 more store reps who were stocking shelves. Again, eye contact was made but not one offer to help. I brought my concerns to Don the manager and he still didn't offer to help, but instead stared at me with such a dazed and confused look. Absolute worst experience I have ever had! Ordered an entire kitchen of appliances in February to be delivered in May. The day before my appliances were supposed to be delivered I got a call that somehow the appliances were not available for delivery. Was never really given an explanation on that but nonetheless it pushed my deliver off for a week. Then when the appliances finally arrived it came with the wrong dishwasher and the installer said the fridge wouldn't fit. Come to find out after an hour and a half in the store that the fridge would have fit. The installers were going off the dimensions on the box that indicated it wouldn't fit. Cant exactly be upset about that but the fact that it took another 2 days for the same fridge to show back up was frustrating. Then the fridge was installed and had some error code from the get go. Installer said it had to stay but you could call for service. Another week later the technician showed up to discover there was something not connected right. The final straw was when I went to use my microwave for the first time to simply reheat some leftovers and the microwave started on FIRE!!!!! The biggest issue I have with all of this is the terrible customer service I have been given. Everyone acts as if they are going to help yet they continue to shuffle me around from person to person and department after department. All of which sent me another direction. I spent over $3,000.00 in appliances and countless other items for my new home over the last several months. I would never recommend anyone buy something from Best Buy that isn't available to take out of the store yourself! read more

My boyfriend and I went in there last night to buy a drone. It took a few minutes to get any help from someone. When we finally did get help the guy pretty much read what was on the cards in front of each drone. Which we already did while we waited for someone to come over for help. His customer service skills were very very lacking. The first work out of his mouth was UMMM. He stumbled through explaining anything to us. We asked him if he had ever flown a drone and he said no. Every question we asked him he barely knew the answer too. So we were done with him. We told him we would think about it. We talked about it and then decided what we were going to do and then come to find out there were none in stock of what the possibilities were, so what he said. Even though one of the options was right in front of his face and we pointed it out to him. There was an option of one with a combo they didn't have in the store and one they did have in the store without a combo. We asked him since the one we were leaning toward would have to be ordered, can we price match the one that was literally the same price to have the combo with it since it was in the store and he had to get a manager. After 10 minutes waiting for a manager. The manager came over and pretty much said nope they wont do that and so I said well we can probably get it faster on amazon and he said that is fine then do that. WHAT KIND OF STORE WOULD RATHER YOU DO THAT THAN LOSE A LARGE SALE? He said they wont price change things for thing that are in stock compared to what are not. I can understand why they have had so many of these stores shut down. There service is terrible and they do not know about their products and they don't care if they lose sales to amazon. I have had to shop here for work on many occasions in the past year. I have bought laptops, Sonos speakers, accessories and many other items. There seems to always seems to be someone there to help you and get you to the area that you need to be. A lot of the time-especially with laptops you spend time looking at them and asking about them only to find out they are out of stock. That is frustrating. Not sure why they leave them on display. I recently had to go back and have a receipt reprinted-and they handled that at customer service with ease. I thought it was going to be a pain and it was not. read more
