if I could give ZERO stars I would. I will NEVER shop at Best Buy let alone this one EVER again and I hope that anyone who wants to shop there reconsiders. I have been looking for an inexpensive laptop and saw they had a "good " deal on one. So I went to make the purchase and saw they offer a trade in program. Well I have a MacBook Air that according to the website was worth a trade in of $325. GREAT! So I enter the information make the purchase and get charged the full amount of the laptop of $425, which is fine because I know that the trade in will be refunded back. So I transferred the money from my savings to make the purchase and get the confirmation that my order is ready for pick up. I get there, they tell me that the trade in is only worth $130. Ok, not happy about it but $130 is better than nothing. THEN they tell me there is some sort of glitch and that it is not letting them process the transaction. In the meantime they HAVE my trade in AND my $425. Then they come back and tell me that they have to REFUND the whole transaction which could take up to five days to get refunded and if I want the laptop I will have ti REPURCHASE It ... of which I DONT HAVE A SPARE $425! I say ok fine I won't do the trade in just give me back my old computer and let me have the one I paid for. NOPE. they tell me I didn't pay for it and the transaction wasn't completed. THE MONEY WAS DEDUCTED FEOM MY ACCOUNT WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE TRANSACTION WASNT COMPLETE. So yes I was angry and yes I yelled but they have HORRIBLE customer service and now I'm out $425. Do not shop here!!! and what REALLY kills me is that when you ask for the name of their district manager they refuse to give it and when you call the number listed on Google it directs you to a call center and they refuse to connect you to the actual store. However the manufacturer is currently out of stock so they declined my price match. Every time I try to do any kind of business with this store, I either end up waiting far longer than I should (20 minutes or more for an associate to assist me) or they often sell me the wrong product. I recently purchased a water filter for the refrigerator I purchased from them 6 months ago with only the model # and other pertinent information of the fridge. The sales associate picked out what he thought was the correct filter. After purchasing it, bringing it home to install and replace the old filter with, I realized then that they sold me the incorrect one. Yes, I understand that I should have had the model # of the filter itself but, I was hoping that I would be able to buy and replace the old filter without having to remove it first. Once I had the correct filter #, I returned to get the correct filter and the sales associate treated me as though I made the entire mistake myself. To make matters worse, he didn't have the filter I needed in stock. I returned to checkout for a refund and that sales associate/clerk was also rude. I don't believe that I will ever do business with Best Buy again. Incidentally, I was able to find the correct filter from another source and purchase from them at a much lower price. read more

Then they told me I had to pay extra so that I could go pick it up at another store... Needed help with an RCA connector for home theater system... the first associate told me they didn't know anything about audio visual cables, but assured me they could find someone to help.... 20 minutes later and after trying to catch any other associate for help I ended up "hovering" next to an associate who was helping another family... when he saw that I was standing in the vicinity he snapped at me and said all the associates are helping other people right now.... I asked if I could wait for his help... and he said loudly "I'm helping other people right now"... so I guess waiting wasn't an option. I bought a dryer last week and the salesmen said if we added a vent to it they would install for free, the people came and installed it completely backwards. In the notes we said the dryer would be on the left side so they needed to switch the door hinge so it opened up correctly, they didn't do it. On top of putting it on the wrong side, the shoved the washer into my "new" dryer vent... absolutely horrible. Then the people called to see what happened and gave me horrible attitude the whole time. I just bought a home and opened a credit card there with a huge limit... now I'm going to cancel that for sure and go elsewhere. read more

I seriously could not be more impress with the service from Sales Associate - Scott Hansen and the Employee's at the Westminster location. I have been doing research for WEEKS on a new Nikon DSLR and I felt pretty confident on what I wanted. Testing out a few cameras, I was asked several times if I needed help, and I automatically responded with a, "No Thank You!". I wanted to know if the specific Nikon bundle came with an SD and here comes Scott Hansen to the rescue! Mentioning being very NAVOUS to camera but wanting a good camera to learn on, he made it such an easy conversation for someone not well versed, but thinking she knew a little something in the matter. Even redirecting me to the lens I thought I needed but honestly would have no use for... who knew?! Scott did! Thanks for taking this experience to another level! I purchased a MacBook Air FEB 19. Turns out that because I own a DELL, that's what I should have bought. The salesman did not question that, nor did he mention that they have a 14-day return policy. I tried to exchange it for a DELL today, but was told my programs old won't transfer. Then, I asked for a refund on the unopened MacBook Air and was told I'd missed the deadline. Unbelievable! Poor customer service! I'm so disappointed, mostly with myself. I should not have shopped there to begin with, and I certainly will never, ever shop there, again. Just sayin'. I took my gaming computer in for a new power supply. It was 100% working, it just needed an upgrade. Everything worked before we brought it in. Paid for a power supply and install up front. Came back after I got a text it was done, and they tried to tell me it wasn't turning on at all when they received it, and it needed $800 in parts. Nope. Asked for a refund on the power supply and to call it done. Manager comes over, says he'll give me the refund, then proceeds to try to start an argument with me by telling me I'm basically lying to him. 3 times I say, let's just stop talking and do the refund, and be done. He finally says, (this is his 5th or 6th time trying to get me to argue with him) there's no way it was his people, as they are all on video, and I simply say "there is a lot I could get away with while being videoed." He stands up, says I'm being ridiculous, and refuses the refund. I feel like I'm in a twilight zone episode at this point, so I call the customer service 1-800 number to complain, while in the store. He tries to get me to hand my phone to him mid complaint so "he can talk to them." He then kept saying how they won't do anything to him about my complaint, like he knew he was being unprofessional, but didn't care. Again, more twilight zone. I tell him he can refund me the part, like he said, or I'll just have my credit card dispute and not have to pay it, and keep the part. "Do whatever you need to man." Was his response. So my credit card took the charge off, with no questions, and I have never asked them to do this since getting this card over 3 years ago. This guy is the GM of the store, Will, btw. So since I wouldn't feed into his ego by letting him call me a liar, he lost his store money, and a part, which it turns out, was never installed, and my computer was 100% taken apart inside and not put back together at all. We asked for a power supply install, not a diagnostic, my PC worked perfectly fine, minus shutting off during high end gaming before it was touched by them, and the manager tried to argue with me for 10 minutes after saying he'd give a refund, only to back out when I wouldn't feed into his ego by saying I was lying about something I was not lying about. We purchased a Samsung Galaxy 6S Unlocked Tablet online as we were unable to find a wifi/cellular model larger than 64g anywhere in the area. We needed a SIM card and to get it activated. We started at the ATT store on 72nd & Sheridan. They popped one in and when it didn't immediately work, told us the tablet wasn't compatible, blah blah blah. We came home and put in the card from my phone. The tablet recognized it immediately, so we were pretty sure the ATT store just didn't want to mess with it for the price of a SIM card (not the first time they sent us away after a half hearted attempt at service). This afternoon, after work, I went to the Best Buy at 9369 Sheridan Westminster and was helped by Armond (sp?) the ATT specialist. He was great. It took 1-1/2 hours, most of it on the phone with ATT, to get the tablet activated. At no time was he anything but friendly, helpful and professional. He never displayed any hint of impatience or frustration. He asked questions of other associates and his manager in his quest to get the cellular service up and running. He was successful in activating the cellular service and in making me a Best Buy customer in the future. I don't have enough complimentary words to describe the service I received today. This store in particular has come along way to improve itself over the years. Although it still feels kind of disorganized and cramped together, it is starting to align more with the newer stores and keeping up with the latest devices and technology. Still seems to be a lot of home appliances that are just sitting around in boxes making it feel like half a warehouse instead of an actual store. The staff tends to be a bit arrogant in assuming that because they work there, they know what they're talking about and wont hesitate to point out that you're wrong about something, when in fact you are right and they just try to use flashy words to make the sale. Some of the staff is very polite and helpful however so its luck of the draw I suppose. I have never gone into this location and not found what I was after so that is always a plus in my book, prices are in line with the other Best Buy's being slightly overpriced, but when you need it in a pinch and don't want to wait 2 days from Amazon this is worth the effort. read more

I bought a Terrace 55" TV, a Terrace Soundbar, and a Cover. The price included installation because I also pay for GeekSquad service. The Soundbar and the cover were back ordered. The purchase was made at the Westminster, CO store but they had us working with Person (P#1) we think normally works with business accounts. P#1 set up our TV installation and we were told that a separate installation will be set up for the Soundbar. The Soundbar was finally delivered but in pieces. The delivery person from Best Buy told us that it did not fit in his car! We have no idea if the Soundbar is missing parts or not. Several days later, an installer showed up who immediately told us that he did not know how to install a Soundbar and promptly left. When I called P#1, he told me that he will get back to me with a new delivery date but did not call me back. Now his voicemail says that he will be out of the office for 3 weeks and for me to call another person (P#2). P#2 is extremely rude and does not take any information about my name or what happened. He just says that he is way too busy and will get back to me when he has time!!! Now P#2 does not even pick up my calls. Every time I call him from a new number, he picks up and immediately gets nasty when he knows it is me. I called Best Buy main customer service and they tell me that my Soundbar show still in transit and they cannot schedule an installation. I was on the phone for an hour. The store also gave me a 75"TV cover which was later replaced with a 55" cover. Every time I have gone to that store to resolve any aspect of this purchase, they have been very abrasive. He spent some extra time going over features and looking through the stock to see if they had a television I was looking for. This is contrast to a store across the street where I had a hard time getting any ones attention to see if they had something in stock. So, so good so far. I really can't believe how incredibly disappointed I am at the Home Theatre department at Best Buy. I have been placed on hold numerous times and have been disconnected, I have been promised a tech would call back, I have been told we can't answer that over the phone, I have stopped in too numerous times to get questions answered, a tech did a pre delivery inspection and when asked questions (will that screen fit there), where do I need to run the cat 6, I still didn't get the (right) answers. A construction crew was paid a rush job so everything was done prior to the delivery of the system. As I sit, I am on my way back...asking why the screen didn't fit, why did Best Buy charge me for cable installation, why...why...and no theater system has been installed (yet). read more

I purchased a Samsung Smart Hub refrigerator on June 5th. Was originally told that it was not available for delivery until the 5th of July. I asked if I could get it sooner and the sales lamb say he would put in the order that as soon as my order came in, could it be delivered ASAP. I received an email that informed me that it was in stock sooner than expected and would be delivered on Wednesday, June 20th between 8-12pm. When they delivered they say they didn't have enough men to get it into my house. They needed to schedule a 4-man team. It was then rescheduled for June 25th. I received a call at 11:20am saying that they 40 minutes away. Finally at 2pm when they didn't arrive I called bestbuy who informed me that they would not be delivering my refrigerator today either and gave me excuses that there was road work that prevented them from getting to my house. Not True. And also never calling me back to let me know they weren't coming. When I called Best Buy they of course apologized and said I would just have to reschedule. But instead of working to meet my schedule I had to accept what ever day and time they picked. I received a date on the 2nd of July. I am scheduled to leave town on the 2nd. When I called to complain they said there was nothing they could do. I then received an email Saying it would be delivered on Friday, June 29th. I confirmed with them and was told it was scheduled on June 29th between 12:00 and 4:00pm. Needless to say I called on the 29th after waiting for 2 1/2 hours to double check on the delivery and was now told that there was some kind of clerical error and now delivery would have to be the 2nd of July. When called to share my frustration and displeasure, no one could say anything except how sorry they were but I would have to go back into the system again. The worst customer experience I have ever had. No one could come up with a solution all I got was placation. I will never by another appliance or high-end item there again. read more

While i have had plenty of positive experiences at this particular store, usually involving me picking up an online purchase in the store, or just going in to browse the new tech or the movies & almost non-existent music selections. My complaint is really about their delivery procedure. I ordered a new Washer & Dryer and chose to purchase from Best Buy because of my previous experience there and because with rewards points and discounts I would be saving about $350 over other local stores with the same appliances. I placed the order in store and was told there would be a 3 week wait, which was fine. I knew other stores had these items in stock but I could wait 3 weeks to save the money and give best buy my business. The night before the delivery was due I received a nice computerized call telling me my order was scheduled for delivery at the date & time I expected. About an hour later i received a call from a delivery employee telling me the Dryer would be delivered, but the washer was still out of stock and i would need to wait another 2-3 weeks for it to be delivered. This is completely unacceptable. A major appliance like this is used every 3 or 4 days in my household and getting this information the night before a delivery is due is ridiculous. I had sold my existing washer/dryer the weekend before and was looking forward to using the new appliances that weekend. After calling the store and being told by a Best Buy store manager (not the appliance manager) there was nothing they could do (really, you don't want to offer me ANYTHING to keep a $2500 purchase?) I cancelled the order entirely. I was able to order the exact same washer/dryer from another local outlet, and yes it cost me $240 more than Best Buy. But it arrived and was installed 2 days later. Best buy really needs to review back order or delayed delivery notifications on major purchases like this. With another week of notice I probably would not have cared, but the evening before??? Not to mention taking a day off work to be home for the delivery. read more

Wow. I am very old fashioned and miss service! All three employees I interacted with at my visit Friday night were stellar. I was greeted and directed to the department from the get go. The first gentlemen that helped me, was with someone but he offered to help anyway. He was very friendly and not condescending! The third interaction was with Hannah, she was super! She never once made me feel rushed, we ended up getting all of my needs taken care of. She was very knowledgeable, but wasn't condescending. She explained everything. She went above and beyond! I had been to an AT&T store earlier. Well after my experience at Best Buy, I will never go back. I always dread going and now I don't have to. Woohoo Thanks again and I highly recommend!! read more

Oh boy, I've been putting off this review for a week now. My opinion is so black and white here. As to not go into too much of a brain-splatter-on-computer rant, I'm just reviewing the Geek Squad and customer service. If I rated it beyond that, I would give it a whopping middle finger. So, my iMac (lovingly known as Frankenstein) kicked the bucket and took all of it's glorious hard drive info with it. I took it to Joe at the Geek Squad counter. Joe was terrific. He explained what he would do to try and fix it and what my options would be if he couldn't. All of the pricing was put right out there, and in the end, was incredibly accurate. Well, Joe called a couple days later and explained that poor Frankenstein was indeed dead. I returned to the store to make burial arrangements (aka recycling) for Frankenstein and then do a little floor shopping. Once again, Joe was a freaking rock star. He took some time to talk to me about what computer might fit my needs best and put me into the hands of a sales clerk that took care of my purchase from there. (Now, not to rant, but this part of the story is important to mention in order to review their customer service.) I got my new iMac home (this time named Falcor, maybe something more positive will help out my new computer's future??) *FART* WRONG! I had the computer for 2 hours before it showed huge signs of a hard drive problem. As I packed up the computer.. I noticed many things. Huh, this box has best buy tape and a pink sticker on it... kinda like the sticker that was put on my computer when entering the store... Huh, did we take off any kind of plastic wrapping on the manual or computer itself? Nope, sure didn't. That's not good, was I sold a known funky computer? Couldn't be. For $2k... no way they'd do that. Wrong again. They did!!! Once again, I'm at the Geek Squad counter. The guy plugs it in and tells me that it has a bad hard drive. Here's where the good customer service comes in. A sales person grabs a new iMac, I take it to the counter at customer service, and they exchange it immediately. I was pleased that I didn't get a boatload of raised eyebrows or questions. It was finished within minutes. I got my NEW iMac home and it's in great working order. Here's the lesson, even though you may be excited about a new purchase, pay attention to the condition of the product you just bought. Here's another lesson, if you, Best Buy, ever sell me something that has been returned with problems before, ever ever again, you will lose my business forever. And you almost did, if it weren't for Joe taking such good care of me. Buyers beware! read more
