I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. I purchased a washer/dryer set from them, and when they arrived the washer was making a terrible clunking sound during its cycle--almost as if someone were trying to wash a brick. I went to install the power cord on the dryer, and one of the 3 screws was completely stripped, which means I couldn't do anything with it. I wish I could've just gotten my money back, but the store has a policy involving ONLY exchanges, no returns. My 2nd replacement set came, and now the dryer is making an odd noise, and the washer just doesn't work. They work with you to get a replacement, but there was no offer of reimbursement for any of the extra fees, I feel like I have wasted a ridiculous amount of time waiting for these to be delivered, as well as the effort it takes to find a new W/D when this one breaks down. I bought a used Samsung refrigerator from these people less than a year ago. When the delivery people showed up, they tried to charge me $25 extra dollars to deliver it. After installing it, the refrigerator made an odd humming noise. I was told that was normal and would go away. The noise never did go away and now the refrigerator doesn't work. I've called several repairmen and learned that most wont' work on Samsung bc of the many problems. I would never purchase from this company again. I purchased someones trade in that was about to die. Dave was extremely friendly and helpful, and make the experience fun. The delivery drivers were prompt and professional, and stayed to make sure everything was working. I tried to avoid writing this negative review, but I feel I must... I purchased a washer and dryer set from Affordable Used Appliances in Westminster on May 22. I have yet to receive a working washing machine (as I am writing the date is August 5). Now I am in the 11th week, and all I want is my money back (with them coming to get their stuff). The first washing machine they delivered the door leaked (it's front loading), and the drum crashed hard into the side of the machine on spin. The second washing machine they delivered wouldn't drain. I checked the filter, it is clear. (I could probably take the washing machine apart and fix it myself, but I didn't go there to buy a broken washing machine.) This machine is still in my house due to... The third washing machine they tried to deliver to my house looked like it had been dropped on its front. The selector knob was hard to turn due to the front face being quite cracked. After all that I started getting upset, so I called their "President's Hotline." The guy assured me they would resolve the issue. I forgot to get a name or call back number, but I felt better. Then I received no call from them for about 5 business days, so I called the President's Hotline again. After that I got a call saying they would make it right (again) and that delivery would be on Saturday. Well, they were supposed to deliver a washing machine to my house yesterday between 4-6 P.M. NO CALL, NO SHOW. Seriously?!? At this point I would have been better off with all my time wasted to have purchased new. I would have been money ahead, plus I'd have the bonus of being able to do laundry in my own house instead of going to a laundromat (more cost). Really, I just want my money back. For the record, the dryer is nice and has worked well the two times I used it. read more

Absolutely incredible! We shopped around A LOT and came to the same conclusion every website and store we looked into - every washer/dryer set is going to break the bank. Then we walked into Affordable Used Appliances and found a well taken care of, perfect set within our budget!! We called the next day and did the whole transaction over the phone. Delivery was perfectly available within the next couple of days and bam professional installers came to our house and did everything for us.
