Help me make this make sense: I purchased a GE® ENERGY STAR 4.8 cu. ft. Capacity Smart Front Load ® Washer with UltraFresh Vent System with OdorBlock™ and Sanitize w/Oxi in May 2022. Now in December 2025 the machine stopped working. It has a 10-year warranty so I called GE for service. I was told I would have to pay a trip charge of $115. When the tech arrived, I was told that the 10-year warranty only applied to the motor. The motherboard had malfunctioned on my machine, not the motor. Now that would cost $360. The motherboard I purchased has a 5-year warranty and 30-day service warranty. Here is what makes no sense to me: If the motherboard has a 5-year warranty now that I have paid to replaced it, why did the original motherboard only last 3 years, not 5 years? This has been the worst and one of the most stressfulI purchase experiences I've ever had. I don't leave reviews generally, but this has been so bad and customer support so ineffective that I feel it needs sharing. I purchased three appliances, all with install and haul away. When I checked out it said that I had to schedule delivery after I purchased which seemed strange. Stupidly I proceeded. I had to call to set up delivery. They then told me one of the items was on back order until late August. A little disappointing but no big deal. As long as the dishwasher I purchased could be delivered in the next couple of weeks, as mine had died. I ordered a washer/ dryer set and a dishwasher that was a different make. They said that though the dishwasher was available, in the same warehouse as the washing machine, that they could only deliver the washing machine and the dishwasher had to wait to be delivered with the dryer. ( all three appliances were ordered at the same time on the same order) they told me the ONLY way to get the dishwasher delivered was to cxl it and reorder it. I got a discount for ordering 3 appliances together and also got a best buy cc for the 18month 0% financing. If I cxl the dishwasher and reordered it separately they wouldn't honour the three appliance discount, $200 and I would be charged interest on the purchase. When I said I would cancel the entire order ( not having the discount or financing wouldn't make it worth buying from best buy) they were suddenly able to deliver the dishwasher on its own in two days time! I got the call the next day confirming my delivery time. Then realised the delivery, install and haul away had been cxl for the washer and dryer. I called again and spent another hour on the phone. They added the delivery etc.. back but then they cxl the delivery of the dishwasher. When they tried to add it again they said all three items were on back order. When I pointed out that the dishwasher had been set for delivery just a few minutes ago they managed to find both the dishwasher and washer again for delivery Thursday. And added the install, haul away etc.. back. When I get the new confirmation it says they are delivering the washer and dishwasher, and hauling away and installing the washer, dishwasher and dryer. I called again as I can't be left without a dryer for 4 months. After another hour, they tell me the dryer can be delivered the following week and they'll install and haul the old one away then. Thursday they deliver and install the washer and dishwasher and take the old ones. ( the guy that arrived was great! ) a few hours later two guys show up to haul away the old dishwasher and washer, that have already gone. They didn't seem surprised that they had wasted their time. Best buy called to confirm that I had rejected the haul away. I told them the washer and dishwasher had gone ( the haul away team had confirmed they were just meant to collect two items) I then find out that again the install and haul away of the dryer have been cxl. After two more calls they finally say that they've been added back. Every time best buy have cxl and re-added anything they have charged my card! The dryer arrives and there's no install. They refuse to install it as it says it was installed a week ago. I asked how it could have been installed a week ago when they are delivering it now! I asked them to bring my old one back and take the new one and refund me. They said they can't guarantee I'll get a refund. Their solution was for me to accept it and pay someone else to install it! So now I have an uninstalled dryer that I have no way of knowing it it works and after having paid for install ( multiple times at this point) have to do it myself or pay another company to fix their mistakes. On top of that since they have been adding charges to the best buy card outside of the initial 18month 0% purchase I'm now being charged interest! This isn't resolved and I will never use them again, which I know doesn't mean anything to a company this size. read more

I paid over $3,000 for a Mac Pro at Best Buy, and after two attempts, these people still can't get the computer working. This entire experience has been a complete shit show. I now have to bring it back to Apple -- for the second time -- just to fix what Best Buy failed to do. An Apple technician told me directly that they strongly advise customers not to buy Apple products from Best Buy because Best Buy regularly messes up computers and sends customers back to Apple to fix their mistakes. So now I'm hoping Apple won't charge me extra to repair the damage caused by Best Buy's incompetence. Across several appointments -- including one where I waited an hour for nothing -- I've seen more incompetence and unprofessional behavior than I've ever encountered in a national retailer. Some of the things their staff said out loud were so reckless and so lacking in professional discretion that I'm stunned Best Buy isn't sued weekly. This has been a horrible experience from start to finish. If you're thinking about buying an Apple product at Best Buy, save yourself the time, money, and frustration -- don't do it. The journey of this phone ordered sprint phone online phone didn't come because it was snowy and the carrier marked as undeliverable phone returned to Best Buy now sitting at Best Buy in front of my new iPhone looking at it sprint cancelled the service on my current phone so I don't have any Verizon service anymore (I'm on WiFi) now hostage because I'm worthless without my phone for directions. Best Buy says nothing they can do/refund because it's sprints problem. Moral: don't ever get delivery because if it doesn't get to your place you're screwed. I went in to buy my first laptop ever today. I had been researching various makes and models. Preston helped me right away. He asked all of the right questions (what will you be using this for, is there a certain brand you want, how much storage, what price range) and we decided on a Surface Laptop Go for Business. I added The Windows Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), 2 year warranty and Geek Squad protection, plus a keyboard and mouse and it totaled $1299.00. This is Microsoft's lightest model, at 2.5 lbs. only downside is that, with school starting and people working from home, it could take up to 4 days to have them load it up. All staff members were masked and social distancing is well marked out. Most people were wearing masks, but a few were not. Hand sanitizer and hand wipes were all over the store, so you can try typing on your computer before buying it. There is also a price-match guarantee. Parking is abundant. Staff members were courteous and there is no high-pressure add-on sales here. All around, a good experience. read more

OMG where do I start? If I could give this company/store a ZERO, I would. I'll start by saying they are great when you are purchasing something and matching a competitors price - but after that they are worth a penny. We purchased a refrigerator and had it installed in record time. I say record time, because we were told by the installer that they had only 20-minutes to install the refrigerator, which explains a lot. That was two days ago. Today, I opened the freezer drawer to have water POUR out of the drawer all over the kitchen hardwood floors! This happened prior to me being able to call the store, since they don't open until 10am. At 10am, I called the store and was put on hold for 20-minutes before speaking with anyone. Only to be told that I needed to speak with another department. After being transferred and told my wait time would be only 3-minutes, it took another 10 before the call was picked up and promptly disconnected me. So, I looked up online Best Buy and call their toll-free customer service line. They did answer in under 3-minutes as the recording claimed. When the customer service woman was having trouble finding the order, I asked "would be able to have someone come out today?" She explained "no", it would have to be scheduled. When I went on to say that the appliance is leaking onto our hardwood floors and that was unacceptable. When I went on to say more about how many towels I had used to soak up the water leak, she put me on hold without explaining. How RUDE!!! Scheduled an appointment for geek squad today at 12:40pm, arrived in store and waited for 20 minutes before I was sat down at a desk and waited another 10 minutes before I was ever asked about my issue. During that time I saw 2 different geek squad employees walk in and out multiple times while the line continued to grow. They 100% saw the line and didn't stop to talk to any of the waiting customers. Meanwhile you could hear employees in the back talking and laughing. I was late for a 1:30 meeting because of this. Best Buy failed on commitment to deliver Samsung dryer in timely manner. Dryer ordered in late October, was promised early December delivery. Dec delivery was cancelled by Best Buy with NO notification or explanation to me. I had to contact an overtaxed and POORLY staffed customer service system. MUST READ IF ORDERING ONLINE AND HAVING PRODUCTS DELIVERED!! If you purchase something online and utilize Next Day Services, Best Buy can cancel the transaction for any reason. If you call Customer Service, they tell you they can't give a reason. Here's the REAL ISSUE (which is why I'm canceling my accounts with Best Buy): If you use a reward certificate and/or a gift card, they will refund you your money. However, that can take several days. So, now you're forced to buy it from the same location using your OWN funds as opposed to the certificates which BB wants because it gave them an additional sale that wouldn't have otherwise existed. I just got off the phone with one rep, who ended the call. The second lady (after attempting to call again) wouldn't let me talk and just said "have a good day" and hung up. It's no wonder Best Buy reviews are getting worse and worse. It was an appliance thief the first time, canceled orders, terrible reps the second, and more. I walked in seeing if there was a wireless charging option for my iPad which's power port stopped working.. there is no such option but 3 gentleman helped me to clean the port, tested it to see if it worked (didn't) and found out the cost to get it repaired/replaced.. felt they went above and beyond necessary and when I got home.. turned out cleaning it did work.
