Impossible to call the store and speak to an American. I'm immediately transferred to India where their phone service simply doesn't have the ability to answer to my questions. I purchased a remote starter for my car at Best Buy and had it installed at the Wooster, Ohio location in 2020. The service technicians were great and informative. I need another remote starter installed now (2023), but trying to get ahold of anyone in this service department by phone is impossible now. I drove 1.5 hours because online showed I could get $600 for my trade in. Read every piece of fine print before I made my drive because I didn't want to waste my day off driving. I get there and they tell me that I had to preorder in order to qualify for that promotion when no where online did it state that. So instead of fixing their mistake they proceeded to snicker about it. I can't remember any of their names except for Brian. Would highly recommend not going there as they don't stand behind their own website! Sad I've shopped at Best Buy for the 9 last years and spent over 40k with them. I purchased an iPad for my wife less than a year ago at this store. Based on a sales reps recommendation I also bought a Zagg cover with a keyboard to go along with the iPad. Less than a year later the screen holder on the cover broke off at BOTH hinges. I took it back to Best Buy thinking that it was simply defective and they would happily exchange it. I was wrong. I was told it had a 14 DAY WARRANTY and that I should have bought the service plan. That means that if I expected a product I bought from Best Buy for a retail price of almost $100 to last more than 14 days I needed to pay them more money! Shame on me for not catching this at the time of the sale, but shame on Best Buy for not standing behind a product their sales staff recommended. read more

We needed to buy a new refrigerator today and went to Best Buy after researching online to find the one we wanted. At the entrance we were informed we needed to wait 10-15 minutes for "Amanda" to escort us in to see the refrigerators. Last two times I've been in, to get a laptop and a TV I've been treated like trash. All the employees do is follow you around like a car dealership and when I finally asked for help all they can do is tell me everything is essentially garbage and the nicest newest model is "the one for me". Then telling me I need to get a warranty because the product I just bought off your shelf is gonna take a dump. Not sure if they get any commission or they think their 2 year associates from phoenix online makes them think they know how to sell appliances to average people. One of the worse complaints i have people telling me is that and i have turn to best buy for review to unsure whats going on. But i heard stories of people going to this location just because the prices are better then most best buys you go to. The minute you walk in instead of a Hi welcome to best buy what can we find for you today to a Hi what do you want what are you doing here to door greeters, sales associate to managers u name following you around the store pestering its customer trying to push them to the limit to not knowing anything about a certain product. By the time you 5th or 6th employee comes up pestering you loose your temper. read more

I try to avoid. They up sell like carnies at a festival. When you don't take their suggestions they act as if they are personally offered. Don't ask what I plan to do with a computer, I've probably done all the required research before coming in. read more

Today was the second time I visited Best buy in Wooster Ohio in the last two weeks and could not get anybody to help me I thought it was going to be okay as someone was helping me until we were interrupted by another customer which left me hanging and waiting around and walking around aimlessly hoping somebody else would come to assist with no avail. For a company/brand built on customer service, the service is brutal at this location. Dropped in store 3 diff times this week seeking advice and intending to buy 2 TVs. Couldn't get ONE store associate to ask if I needed anything or help with making large purchase of 2 flat screens. Store is obviously understaffed, unmotivated. Bought TVs @Bennets in Orrville (paid more but service was helpful and friendly). I am a Reward Member at Best Buy but am questioning why have a loyalty program when the incentive to be loyal isn't reciprocated? read more

Had some awesome help today from Emily and April . They were knowledgeable on the products, and very helpful! Yesterday, I went into the Wooster Best Buy to purchase a couple of minor accessories. After I made my purchase I asked John, the salesman, if he wasn't busy could spend some time explaining what 'smart' features I could install in our home that is being built in another state. John must have taken at least 30 to 45 minutes showing me products, making suggestions, and advising on how to save money. He did this knowing that I was not in a position to make any immediate purchase or even in Ohio. I felt guilty taking him away from a potential paying customers but he refused to interrupt my 'training session'. In a couple of months another Best Buy salesman in Virginia will benefit from all the effort, knowledge, and time that John spent with me in Wooster, OH. I was very impressed with his time, patience, and knowledge without any pressure to make additional purchases. read more

Every time you walk in it's like the miserable experience of having to walk through the midway at a carnival. People in your face trying to push you to buy higher models, extended warranties, geek squad services. Just let people get what they need and leave. Stop badgering customers. read more

Prices are great. Staff sucks. I don't know who trains them to badger customers like used car salesmen or carnival workers, but that's what they do. Took forever to get surface set up. (close to 2 hours) Device had cracked screen. No more in stock. Had to travel 2 hours to get a different one. Later, wanted to use Webroot that was given (or purchased, can't remember) when surface was purchased. Keycode will not work. Called geek squad. Recorded message said to chat online. Online chat rep said to call geek squad. Back and forth with online rep and he finally asks my info. (I felt like I had to bully him.) He kept saying to call all these numbers. Finally ,get rep on the phone. She tells me Webroot CD keycode has expired. NOTHING on the CD package nor did any Best Buy rep said there was any type of expiration date on the webroot CD. I cannot go to a Best Buy and make a scene because they are an hour away form my home. Fortunate for Best Buy. Terrible service. I have no idea how a place like this can keep customers. read more

Good prices on somethings but over priced on others. Customer service is over kill. Up your ass the whole time now. My husband bought me a new laptop for Mother's Day. After opening it we saw that the screen was separating from the case. We took it in to return. Because my husband was trying to purchase early for Mother's Day we were 1 day outside of the return policy. They also verified that the computer was just opened the day before but still would not help us even though the product was clearly defective. The Geek Squad manager, Colin, was extremely rude, condescending and accused my husband of lying. I am appalled at the horrible customer service coming from someone who is supposed to be a manager. After contacting corporate headquarters they told us that they have the ability to override the return policy and gave us the contact information for the General Manager. We are not impressed with this Best Buy location. Unfortunately 0 stars isn't an option. I hope the General Manager will be more professional. read more

my husband and i purchased a toshiba laptop from this store, and turns out it was 10 years old at the time of purchase for gods sake!! not happy about this at all. no wonder it won't do half of what we try to do, outdated software. so buyer beware if you go here to buy a computer! lost our business for sure. salesman was trying to upsell us other items and got attitude when we said all we wanted was the computer. And didn't even say thank you at the register. I highly recommend that no one should ever buy a computer from here again. read more
