Before being buffed out by Best By Farr Dog Training - but still cute as all get out...

Best By Farr Dog Training brought home our baby girl Star last Friday - and what she learned in two weeks is amazing. She still has a few minor issues with her owners being consistent in commands - but Chris is now training us....and with the changes we see in Star we know we are jut a few tweaks from consistency. Chris is an incredible trainer and more importantly loves every dog he trains - our dog does not just respond to her commands but also loves the guy who trains her. Feel secure in Best by Farr with Chris training your furry and soon to be better behaved loved one! We got great videos as well showing Star's progress. Thanks Chris!!

I was searching for a Wheaten Rescue dog, and Chris had been working with a female for several months. She was unable to go back to her original owner so scwtca.org was notified. I was then put in touch with Chris and we communicated by text being that I live in Las Vegas. He was able tell me about her history and show me videos of how Moppett (now Gertie) was behaving after spending time with him. I was told that she wasn't very socialized with people, and that she would show some aggression to strangers. I have to tell you I was so impressed with her behavior on videos, and after dialog back and forth Chris felt that she and I would be a good fit. After all, it's really about the dog in a rescue situation, and if I was the right person to take her into a forever home. I drove down to Phoenix to meet Chris and my new girl...... She immediately came to me and it was love at first sight! I saw first hand the result of all of Chris's hard work. She was very social with me and the person from scwtca rescue, and she listened to commands and obeyed. I drove back to Las Vegas with her, and from day 1 she has been a dream come true! She is obedient; sits, stays, lays down etc. on command. She is completely house broken, not destructive of anything in the house and is very loving. I want to thank Chris for his work with Gertie.... I believe I have the BEST trained rescue dog there is thanks to Chris!

Best By Farr Dog Training could not be a more appropriate name. My wife and I have two yellow lab puppies and knew we wanted to have some formal training. I had reached out to a few companies, everything seemed very black and white packaging. When reaching out to Chris he comes out, evaluates where your dog is and let's you know what he believes will be a good path for training. It's not a sales pitch or any nonsense, just his philosophy and what he can help with. We signed up for 10 weeks of training, Chris's philosophy is he is teaching your dog but also teaching you so in the future you will have the tools to understand. I really can't explain how much Chris had an impact on our dogs and our relationships. Chris is not just a trainer that shows up and leaves. There were times our hour sessions turned into 1 and half hours. He really knows what's he is doing and cares for the dogs. He would often text us during the week to see how our work was going and how our dogs were responding. I'm sure there are wonderful dog trainers out there, but to me relationships matter, when you feel you have hired someone who truly cares about you and your dogs on top of being world class, that's a difference maker.

This review is long overdue, but I really wanted to take some time to convey just how happy my girlfriend and I are with Best by Farr Dog Training. I also wanted to write a clear and articulate review for those that might be reading this to determine if BBFDogs/Chris Farr is right for you. First and foremost let me start by saying Chris Farr is is not only a great dog trainer but an amazing handler mentor/teacher as well. My girlfriend and I wanted to be involved with the training of our Pitbull mix Brindlelynn, nanely because this was the first time either of us had owned this breed. So upon a successful interview, and initial assessment, we embarked on a 10-week journey with Chris. His teaching methods are delivered through constructive criticism, positive, and supportive reinforcement. He is never condescending, rude, or unprofessional. This is very important because in private lessons it was my girlfriend and I (the handlers) truly being trained, not Brindlelynn. The work Chris did with Brindlelynn was nothing short of something you would see on TV. Brindlelynn is a Pitbull mix that we rescued from a local agency here in the Valley. We wanted a Bully breed because of the negative stigma surrounding these dogs and we wanted to give a rescue a good home and second chance. Brindlelynn was 10 months at the time we got her, and was still a young dog / puppy when we started to work with Chris. Brindleynn lived a very sheltered life in a kennel for 8-10 hrs a day with her original owner. Luckily she was housebroken, had a couple basic commands, but we soon found out that they were taught wrong. Brindlelynn's biggest challenge, and our goal was trying to restore the socialization with people, children, and other dogs that she had missed out on early in her life. Before training with Chris, Brindlelynn couldn't even see another dog in the distance without completely losing her mind. This was very embarrassing and gave my girlfriend a lot of anxiety because Brindlelynn has a very imposing bark and she has that classic, intimidating, and athletic Pitbull build. It was so bad that my girlfriend did not want to, nor could she physically walk Brindlelynn. After our initial assessment, we got right into the thick of training. After our first session, Chris made it his personal Journey to help us correct Brindlelynn's socialization deficiencies. Chris's methods and expectations were crystal clear. If we ever had questions or were confused he would explain in multiple ways until we understood. His use of analogies and relating dog training or behavior to something that you understand or do in life (dancing, working out, yoga, Jiujitsu) is second to none. We were also held accountable and given homework in between private sessions. By week 8 we were "heeling, auto sitting, sit-down-stay, and recalling" Brindlelynn at a local dog park...WITH DOGS AROUND!!! Week 10 we took Brindlelynn to Thunderbird Mountain for a hike and did a 100 yard recall past other hikers. Just last week we took Brindlelynn to Einstein's for breakfast on the patio, where she stayed in the "down" position while she ate a doggie bagel, a puppuccino, and water. We are so happy and impressed with Chris's methods, we have discussed continuing with Advanced Training for Brindlelynn. Lastly, Best by Farr as a whole is an exceptional business. It's customer service, communication, and ease of payment is just as top notch as the training provided. I honestly could continue but if I haven't convinced you by now, nothing more I can say will do so. So don't waste any more time, contact Best by Farr, schedule your initial consultation, and start creating that amazing bond between you and your precious furry family member! I hope this helped, Travis Swartzlander

This is Winston on place. He stays here when guests arrive until released. Very Nice!!!!

It takes a few simple commands to stop undesirable behaviors. If you are consistent and persistent, dog training is easy. As a trainer I am neither. Our dog required a pro. Our very friendly "Doodle", Winston is half standard Poodle and half Newfoundland. This is a large dog, about 90 pounds. His method of greeting a guest is leaning. He places his shoulder at the knee and leans. That loving lean can flatten an unsuspecting person. "Leaning" led us to BestByFarr. Winston knew a few basics, but compliance was shoddy. "Sit" worked until the first distraction. A doorbell brought chaos. The best path was three weeks of Dog College. Three weeks is a long time to lose your constant companion. It was worth it. Chris Farr teaches basic behaviors - a few commands. The training is thorough. When I take Winston into a store on a heel, he stays beside me, ignores other people (and dogs), and sits when I stop at the counter. When guests arrive, Winston takes a place out of the way and stays until released. This is civil behavior. There is no more welcoming while wrestling with a frantic puppy. It takes patience to train dogs but training the owners takes more patience. Owner training makes the difference. Chris is a master at guiding us through command sequences and dealing with aberrant behaviors. While we are still learning, we have the tools and know-how to get proper behavior. It is working. It is a better life when a dog behaves.

These are our 2 well behaved doggies! Thanks to Chris- and our hard work over the last 10 weeks!

We needed help with our 2 dogs, a Great Dane who is 4 and a Mastiff mix who is 2. Neither could walk on a leash properly, both greeted guests at the door by rushing them at the knees and they stalked the dinner table every night. We learned how to solve all these issues and Christ helped us understand the best way to reward and correct the dogs. Chris is remarkable- patient, kind and so knowledgeable with dog behavior. This was the best decision we have ever made in regards to the well being of our dogs. We will miss our weekly meetings but are confident in what we learned.

For dog sitting, in our home, we've used Michelle several times now and she is great. Our 3 dogs love her and she clearly loves them too. There's a laundry list of medications for the dogs and she does a great job keeping up with it all. She doesn't mind when I'm that helicopter dog mom and I check too often on my sick boy. Regardless of his illness, Michelle sends many pictures and text updates on how things are going with all the dogs. As a very protective momma, I trust Michelle completely with my furbabies and home. My puppy would not bear weight on the injured foot. X-rays showed there were no broken bones, so the veterinarian bandaged her leg and we waited a week until the bandage was removed to find out if she needed an MRI to assess ligament injury. Fortunately when her bandage was removed she was no longer lame so no ligament injury. We had an almost $500 veterinary bill from her injury at the Zoom Room and the owner/manager never contacted us. I could not figure out why nothing was working. A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. I highly recommend this trainer and business to anyone who is serious about having a great dog!

Before training, Maggie was almost impossible to walk, constant leash pulling, barking, and reactivity that made it embarrassing to take her anywhere. Since our very first lesson, she has completely transformed. She's calmer, more responsive, and so much easier to handle. Now I can take her with me to Lowe's or PetSmart and she walks right next to me, relaxed and focused. I even get compliments from people about how calm she is. Bob explains everything clearly and gives you tools that actually work. If you're looking for a trainer who truly knows what he's doing, this is the place.
