Can't believe how expensive it can be. My wife has got her pants tailored there for a reasonable price but when we brought in our baby's pants to get tailored, it costs $70!!! Partially our fault for not asking first as we didn't think they would charge more than double for baby pants vs regular pants but they maybe should let their customers know before charging an arm and a leg. Brought my uniform to get name tape and rank sewn on. Off base dry cleaners normally charge $3-$5 per patch sewn, 5 total patches needed to be sewn on so high end should of been $25 they charged $75 for 5 patches sewn on. If i knew it would have been that high i would have waited till i was back on base and taken it to cleaners there. They did do a decent job sewing it on but the price was too high for the work that was done. Good conscience can not recommend them for uniform alterations just due to the price alone. Our regular cleaner disappeared and I had to research the area to find a new one I could trust. Best Cleaners has an almost perfect 5-star record, so I decided we would try them out. We had two items. A suede jacket needed a new zipper, which Best does not do. That was a disappointment as now I have to find a new tailor. However, they do just about everything else. I have a lot of blankets, some purchased, some I have made. I am pretty finicky about leaving my things with strangers, including things like my knitted afghans and sweaters. All of them are pure wool and need to be dry-cleaned. So, I took one of the Native American blankets I have that were purchased in Seattle to them and they did a magnificent job. The woman who greeted us was very efficient, when we dropped off the blanket. The following week when we picked up the blanket, there was a gentleman there who was incredibly friendly, inquiring about our health and how our family was, as if he had always known us. That was a deal maker, as far as I was concerned. The very large, heavy blanket was like new and wrapped pristinely in plastic to protect it until I could transfer it to one of the zipped blanket holders I use for my collection. I now have no qualms about bringing other fine items here for cleaning and minor repair. Best lived up to its name and reputation. read more

I had a very unique sweater that I had had forever and unfortunately, I had leaned back onto some gum and it had gotten on the back of the black sweater. I asked the nice guy if he could go ahead and get the gum off and I was shocked when he was able to get all of it done:)) He went to tell me how he actually found pieces of it on the arms and the neck area and then I started being very anxious like oh my gosh is this gonna cost me 70 or $80 because I live in west LA and I was afraid I was really gonna get stuck financially when he told me the price. I got married last October and I needed a custom made corset to be attached to my all over lace and sequence wedding gown. After being told by several other alteration locations that it couldn't be done, the ladies here proved them all wrong. I showed them a few pictures and both ladies brain stormed together how they could achieve it. They sent me to Joanne's to try and match the fabric to my wedding dress and "tada" I found one. Returned with my dress and the fabric and the ladies fitted the dress and did their magic. 3 weeks later I went in to so a final fitting and I cried because it was too PERFECT! My dress was beautiful before, but the addition just made it even more beautiful. My bridesmaid also got their dresses altered here as well. I was wearing this A+F $130 satin dress when I spilled something on it. I think there were oils in it. I made the mistake of washing it first because I honestly don't know a whole lot about this stuff. The stain did not come out and based on what I read online, I more than likely set the stain even more. I looked for dry cleaners in SCV as I had never been before and found Best Cleaners. It has very very good reviews and I was nervous because I needed this dress ready in time before I moved out of town. I met the owner, John. He was very kind. He told me he wasn't sure at first how it would go getting the stain out since I did wash it first. However, it was a success and I am on my way with what looks like a brand new dress. I brought in a fairly complicated project for their seamstress and she was able to do it, no problem! I had recently purchased an Angelic Pretty dress that was a bit too small and needed the straps lengthened. Despite the intricate construction of the dress she was able to add a panel to the side and fix the straps so well that the alterations are undetectable unless you're really looking for them! Lolita fashion is expensive and I was nervous to trust them with my dress, but they did an amazing job. I'll definitely be back! read more

They have "Best" in their name, that's for a reason. Imagine with me for a moment. I'm at an upscale party with some friends. It's towards the end of the night and a woman at this party is waayyy too drunk, she's trying to flirt with me and spills a cocktail on my $1300 Italian suit! Ahhhhhh! Yeah it was awkward for her, a little for me but mostly for her... but I just wanted to make sure my suit was ok. This place is amazing, and of course they took care of everything, fast and efficiently. My suit was saved! Can't say the same about her phone number.. lol My mom has been using them for literally as long as I can remember so they have been good for what seems like forever. John is the main guy in there and he takes care of me no matter what the issue is. Anything you need done, he can work a miracle on it, even when you think your item is all but ruined. I even brought my leather jacket in this summer, I didn't even know he could do something like that on a leather jacket. But I am smart enough to know not to put it in the washing machine LOL. They are highly overprice and rude. The Korean lady was extremely rude. I came in today to alter and dry clean my ball gown with 6 layers. I thought the price would range around $100, because I bought the dress for $200 brand new. She told me the price was $250-270. I thought that was too expensive. I told her that my dress itself is $200. There is no way a whole dress could be less expensive than just to hem 3 inch with dry clean. She insisted, she was rude telling me that she does not card about the price. Then, I called my local dry cleaner. He charged me for $90-100 including dry clean. They just lost a costumer. I absolutely love this place, the family is super super sweet and they take the time to ask questions about your clothes. they got a stain out of my silk blouse, they removed candle wax from a jacket, they followed my exact instructions on my compression workout clothes, they called when they found somehting we didn't see when i dropped my clothes off and everything was ready perfectly on time. love love love this place and WISH they were closer to LA. i'd absolutely drive 15 minutes a week both ways to get my clothes cleaned here.
