I ended up bringing in 4 other dresses to be hemmed along with the bridesmaids dress and worked with Antoinette to pin and size everything. She was so nice and helpful, and you can tell she truly takes pride in her business. I was so happy with my first experience dropping my dresses off I recommended my mother in law drop her dress off to be hemmed as well. We both picked up our dresses last week and they look perfect! Recently dropped off my husband's suit to be cleaned. This family owned business was very professional and reliable. The woman at the front asked me when I needed the suit by, printed me a ticket and I was on my way. I wasn't in a rush, so 2 weeks later my husbands suit was ready and I picked it up. It had been cleaned, pressed and bagged up, ready for the next occasion. SCV cleaners was affordable and I noticed that they also do alterations. Yelp needs to start adding negative star ratings because certain establishments deserve just that. One star just to be able to write a review does not hold true to certain experiences. Moved to the area from Culver City not too long ago and needed to find a dry cleaning home so I figured let's give SCV a try since it's a mile from home and right by my nail salon. Last week I walked into this EMPTY cleaners no customers in sight but me, a lady (turns out her name is Lisa) sitting behind a desk very reluctantly and with no urgency to secure business steps forward. The minute she opened her mouth I should've walked; "what can I do for you" she mumbles with a very annoyed tone. Disagreeing with my gut to leave I proceed to hand over my business. I ask her how much and she tells me "wait let me check", again the tone very off putting. She tells me it would be 23$ but since it's my first time they'll do 15% off. Ok Thank You. I returned today to pick up when she told me it would be ready. I prayed to have a kinder encounter but again her she comes from behind the desk to the register with the same energy. This time she tells me "I'll be with you soon", mind you it's only me in the store. Respectfully I stand back and wait some 3 min or so minutes for her to signal me. I give her the ticket she brings me the garment and tells me that they removed a tag I requested to have left on. I ask her where it is she rolls her eyes to the side snd says will you let me tell you". W0W. Now I've had it and I ask her if there's a problem? She answers the question with a question by asking me if there's a problem, so I proceed to tell her how short and unwelcoming she was when I dropped off and that today again she is acting like she is providing me a service for free. Now she wants to argue and I tell her to let me pay so I can leave. I ask her the total and she tells me again to wait, she rings it up and it totals almost $24. I tell her that last week she said it would be 15 percent off, she says: "first of all 20 percent". I say ok so what was the original price?.. She says: $27, I look her dead in her eyes & tell her that last week she told me $23 with 15 off but, it's ok I say. She turns white because this is what people do when they're lying and you call them out. While I'm paying I tell her that she needs a course in customer service she tells me we don't need customers who think they're better than people, I proceed to say that never in my life do I think or act like I'm better than anyone. I asked her if she was the owner and she said "Yes", I told her she would never have to worry about my spending my dollars here again. Lisa with that unhappy disposition you will run your business into the ground if in fact you are the owner. Also, people don't necessarily think they're better than you, it may just be that you think that they are. That is your problem not theirs. Do better! you'll have to change your attitude to attract success there's too much competition in your industry and with the economy being the way it is people aren't frequenting dry-cleaners. Lastly when you lie you get lied to. P.S. Save yourself the money & energy drainage and go give your business to people who make you feel welcomed. read more

I have been here several times--they do fine with the dry cleaning services and the woman working here is lovely. A while ago, I found the perfect dress for my bachelorette party that needed to be lined. When I came to pick up the dress, only the bottom was lined. I told the woman working there that I need the whole dress lined. She said "yes, I thought that's what you said, I'll let him know." If she thought it was incorrect why not call me instead of waiting till I am there to pick it up? I was worried since I was leaving for my bachelorette party in 3 days and she said they would TRY to have it done by then. Luckily I was able to pick it up, fully lined the morning before I left. Most recently I brought in a blazer that needs to be altered and was told I would need to drive to the Canyon Country location to get it pinned, since that's where the tailor works. No thanks, there are plenty of places that do alterations in Valencia. I don't think the Valencia location should advertise alterations. The tailor is in Canyon Country and it is frustrating when it is done wrong, or when I literally have to be turned away for a service they advertise. read more

I've been meaning to write this review. I went by, as a favor for my son, to drop off his clothing at this cleaners. He was returning a shirt that still had a stain near the top collarbone area. I was also dropping off another item of his. The front cashier or whomever she was...extremely rude. She felt the need to tell me my son could no longer return shirts when under arm stains don't come out. Why was she telling me this? That's not what this shirt issue was. She goes "they've already told him but this is a different issue. " I'm thinking right, so why mention it then? I asked her who are "they" who told him. Long story short the lady just had an attitude and I asked her what was with the attitude and she was like "Well that's a first. Just because I'm animated doesn't mean I have an attitude" she said. I said "I doubt if it's a first." Maybe she's friendlier w/ others but immediately upon dealing w/her I detected implicit and explicit behaviors. (Let the reader use discernment. ) Fast forward a week after and my son picked up that shirt and it ended up getting tears from where the material had weakened. Coincidence? We don't know but just based on the lady's bad, contentious attitude he is done with SCV cleaners and I would not recommend them based on the terrible customer service. read more

Attendants are always pleasant. Has an ok turnaround. Parking is ok. Shop is never crowded. A bit pricey. But it's clean and organized.

I'm very frustrated and disappointed withh my experience at the SCV Cleaners in Valencia (this location is closer to my house ). I came on a Friday 1/31 and had asked to take a 5 inches off my long dress hemline. I asked the sales lady an estimated price and she said she couldn't give me one because the seamstress is at the other location in canyon country and my dress would be sent there. I continued to ask if they will call me to let me know how much and she said I can call later in the week to find out. I requested if I could have it ready as early as possible for I need it by 2/8. she said she can only promise me it would be ready by 2/7. I call on 2/6 morning on my day off from work to see the price and if they happen to have it done early for I need it on 2/8. She says no not yet and I ask how much. $85 for a hemline?!!!? There's no way I'm paying that much just for a hemline and i bought the dress for $60. There's no way I'm paying more for a hemline than the actual cost of a dress . I feel like I was unimportant in this business. They never called me throughout the week to update me on the price of the alterations and when I called the day before my dress was due to be done, it seemed like that was the only time they notice my dress in their possession. 1. They shoUld not advertise they do alterations at this location because it's false advertisement! They can't even give you an estimated price on drop off or even call you back. They also take a long time Delivering the alterations orders back and forth to each location . A week for a hemline?? You can't even update through the week on my phone and leeavr me a message. 2. $85 to take a few inches off a hemline?! Ridiculous my dress was $60 3. This place wasted my time! Now I have to scramble to find another place to do alterations. They should have told me at dropoff or even the day after with a phonE call on uPdates of my dress alterations price for the lady says the seamstress looks at the item to price it.
