Dropped by looking for a new office chair, wasn't exactly looking to shell out a ton of money for a new Hermon Miller or Steelcase chair. They have a good selection of both brands (plus other brands) for a good chunk under half the price. In April of this year, I purchased an iMac from The Best Deal in Town located at 6811 S. Eastern Ave., between Sunset and Warm Springs Roads. I did my due diligence before buying and found that this store had the lowest prices for used iMacs anywhere in the Valley. I also noted that the Best Deal reviews were excellent no matter where I checked and what social media I used. The only issue I had with my purchase came on the Saturday I came in to buy. I was in a bit of a rush to pick up the computer, get it home, make sure my older iMac hard drive was wiped clean, and bring it to my buyer at a specific time and location. All around, it was a pretty sweet deal considering what I received for my iMac and what I was paying for the new one. But as is always the case, there was a glitch. And the hiccup was in the amount of time the Salesman took to deal with another customer who came in after me to purchase an HDTV. Long story short. I had to wait way too long to seal the deal at Best Deal, and there was a communication failure regarding what macOS the new machine was using. Instead of the Salesman uploading a fresh copy of macOS, I became rushed [to sell my iMac]. In a frenzy, I took the new computer home without adequate information about its operating system. Then, of course, all my 650 gigs of data became screwed up in the transfer from my backup hard drive to the new computer. While I could pin the blame for much of the loss of data on the Salesman delaying me after I told him I was in a rush. I'll suffice to say that we were both at fault for what has become almost a month of working with Apple to retrieve my lost data. And then, there was an issue with Apple technicians, which may have caused data loss. The bottom line here always to have adequate time when you know your data is at stake. Or you'll find yourself in the position I was in for almost one month in retrieving it. For the mixup and delay in selling me the computer, I can't in all good conscience reduce any more than one star for this review.
