I walked in on a Friday morning and was the only person in the small shop, but no more than 2 minutes later, the shop was filled with about six or seven other people, all of whom knew Cleve and the security guard. Luckily I had gotten there first and his guy in the back was already working on my watches. In the meantime, I got to talked him about some of the coins and other wares that he had in his store and listened to the interesting conversations from everybody else coming in. They were only able to replace the batteries in three of my watches, and did so in about 5 minutes for $5 a pop. The other two, he recommended a jewelry repair shop down the road called Ed's. I was trying to find an actual jewelry store that purchases rings, not a pawn shop type of place that gets rid of the diamonds and melts the gold down for weight. Basically that's exactly who these guys turned out to be. The person who spoke to me was rude and supercilious right from the beginning, not very pleasant. He barely even had a chance to take a glance at my ring when he said "very generic". Didn't bother to get out a loupe and look at the diamonds, wasn't interested in really discussing anything. Huge turn off! I think I'd have a much better experience at a pawn shop than at this place. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go here for anything.
