Yes the estimate was pricey but again he was using Merced's parts and we all know that those aren't cheap. But what I appreciated most was their honesty . He told me that the rotors on the back were shit and definitely had to be replaced but the front were fine and if the price was too much I could actually wait awhile (not forever, but a payday or two) before replacing the brakes . I thought this was the most honest expertise I had ever had with an unknown mechanic. To be safe, I sent the exact same photos to a few other body shops, and their estimates came back much lower. One shop estimated around $1,800 for repair and repaint based on the same pictures. That's a huge difference and made the first quote feel very inflated. I strongly recommend getting multiple estimates before committing to repairs here. Transparency and fair pricing matter, and customers deserve reasonable quotes.
