Better flavor the other local places. Prices aren't too high in comparison to other places. Always know what you're going to get here. Not only great tasting Chinese food, but quick and clean service. This particular restaurant is always busy so either call ahead or ready to wait. I love their fried dumplings, plenty of filling and fry to perfection/steamed. If you like Singapore Mei, fun, there's is pretty good! read more

A few months ago my wife and I ordered two General Tso Chicken combinations. One of the two meals had plastic shavings of some sort in the rice and/or chicken. I called to submit a complaint. The lady on the phone offered to give me another one for free, which I decided to wait on for another night. I simply was disgusted at this point. I was not planning on writing this review, but there is more to this story. Fast forward a month or so. My brother is over and wants Chinese food. He loves 'Best Food in Town', so we ordered from there. I mentioned that I had a free meal due to the last incident, which the nice lady on the phone said 'ok'. Upon picking up the meals, I found out they did not complete my order and I needed to wait for the second combination platter. They were quick about it. When I got the food home and we started eating, I noticed my meal smelled like cigarettes or "breath of the wok". My brothers meal was fine. Keep in mind these meals were not cooked at the same time. I stopped eating mine because I felt like I was inhaling the burning fumes of a building filled with asbestos. Could the cooks have been smoking and blowing smoke intentionally into my food? My brother liked his, but then felt it went downhill during the end when he felt sick. I ended up not eating mine and cooked up Ramen Noodles instead, which was much more enjoyable than the Best Food in town food that tasted like it came out of a chimney. On top of this, they charged me the tax of the free meal because these people are awful. I typically don't waste my time writing reviews, but justice needed to be done. I am not saying don't go to Best Food in town. I am saying you could get more than what you paid for (i.e., plastic, smoke). read more

I've already reviewed their sister location, but Yelp keeps telling me I need to review Hammonton's Best Food as well, so I'll keep it short and sweet. EAT HERE. Well, don't necessarily eat here. Feel free to order takeout or get delivery service. But seriously, eat their food. This place is swamped on a Friday night, and there's good reason why. Food is tasty, fresh, plentiful, and cheap. The staff here are very friendly. I eat here at least once a week for lunch because of Best Food's joyous proximity to my place of employment. The girl who works the counter remembers me, places my order without my having to say a word, and brings it to me with a takeout box already provided. LOVE Best Food in Town. TERRIBLE. I was eating my shrimp lo Mein and found out that they were NOT deveined. So basically you are eating their poop. I posted a picture to show that, and even some shrimp had the poop hanging out of their bodies. Imagine eating that. I threw out my meal. Also the fact that their beef on a stick felt like brunt flesh and tasted horrid. NEVER eating here again. read more

You know, you have to have cajones to call your restaurant "Best Food in Town." I mean..you really better live up to that name or you're gonna get a LOT of grief. I haven't been to any other restaurants in the area, but this place was pretty damn good! My guy and I had the General Tso's Chicken. General Tso's chicken is one of my favorite Chinese meals. I have to say, it was quite possibly the best I'd ever had (not including Whole Food's vegan General Tso's, which is amazing.) My guy is a roller derby ref and has to come out here for practices and bouts, so I'm sure we will eat here again whenever we're in town for derby! read more

Best Food in Town, has the best chinese food in town I have tried all the other chinese restaurants in town and this one if my favorite my husband and I order from them all the time. They also have a Best Food in Town in Mays landing as well, same great taste. read more

Not really feelin' it's the best . More like 2nd Best Food in Town (or 3rd). Today happens to be a Tuesday when the better Hoy Yeung is closed. I wanted chinese and since this is just up the street from me, I gave it another try. I had chicken wings which are on par with HY but, the Wonton soup was heavy in color. seemed like it was enhanced with something but didn't taste great. The won ton was hard as was the filling. Definitely have had better. The cashier was nice though I really didn't understand her. The pork fried rice was so so but the order was prepared quickly, so they get a point for that! read more
