I would highly advise staying away from this business. It was a poor experience for both me and my pup. I took my doodle in to see Kayla for her first ever grooming. First red flag was the fact that she wouldn't let me stick around. I asked directly because it was my pups first time and her response was "It's going to take up to 3 hours, it's a long process". I said I didn't mind and would like to stay. She then responded with "Well you can hang around the area and I'll call you when she's done". I found it weird she wouldn't let me stay, especially after reading her response to a previous review stating they were welcome to stick around if they wanted. When I picked my pup up, she was all sorts of frazzled. I figured she would be to some degree, but the concern set in after days of completely abnormal behavior. It's been 5 days and she isn't listening to me, she's showing aggression, barking/whining excessively, is amped up, and jumping/cowering at every little movement. She was also really groggy and losing her balance for 2 days after going in. On top of all of this, she got a bad haircut. I messaged Kayla the same day and sent pictures asking what happened to her belly. She went in with her hair one length in that area, and came back with bald spots all over. It shows on her knees when she's sitting too. Kayla kept trying to tell me it was "normal" and because of hair growth direction. Sorry, but no. I'm a licensed hairdresser and that's false. My dog didn't go in with bald spots and it's impossible for that to happen unless she messed up. The haircut is the least of my concerns, however. I'm mostly wondering how they handled my pup because she is not herself and it's unsettling. I'll be talking to my vet and spreading caution about this place.

A year between visits and Kayla got Millie looking like an absolutely different girl! Just had the 2nd appointment and let me tell you, Kayla nailed it again! Millies always happy after her visits!

I have a 9 year old border collie rescue who has aggressive tendencies due to her first two homes neglecting her and it was hard to find a groomer I trusted to leave her with but I'm so happy we found this place. She was so kind to my dog and communicated with us through the whole thing and now my dog looks brand new and has no mats and seems so much happier!

Prior to the adventure, the owner, Bobby, met with me and my dog in person. He took the time to learn about my dog's personality and behaviors, and answered all of my questions. After meeting him I felt very comfortable letting him take my fur baby out and had confidence that it would go well. (I don't easily trust anyone with my dog, so this is saying a lot) Bobby was professional, kind, super knowledgeable about dogs and supportive. He took some great photos of Leia having a blast on her adventure which I loved. I would highly recommend this local business to anyone who wants their dog to go on adventures with a company who cares about and has experience working with our canine companions!

We have an old and loving dog that we are very careful to whom we bring him to for grooming. He is a big dog and the grooming hours can be long for him, so the staff is big part of our decision...our favorite groomer in West Salem was booked and reminded us that the owner of Puppy Clip, Shanna, was a previous groomer at our usual shop and she was highly recommended. We have had some pretty bad experiences with groomers...we don't have a sense of entitlement nor unreasonable expectations...just good treatment, good work and nice people. So we were hopeful with the recommendation. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Puppy Clip. In addition to helping us get in quickly during a busy schedule, Shanna and her team did a seamless job on him. Beautiful work. When we went to pick him up, he was happy and relaxed, holding court with the other dogs and groomers. Hanging out, is the best way I could describe it. He was not dehydrated and he wasn't frantic to relieve himself...it says a lot bout the people behind a company...you can tell if they like dogs. Shanna and her team definitely love their dogs and the owners. In addition to the obvious respect for our dog we noticed the pride of the staff and their sincere appreciation of their clients. The facility is clean, positive and our old dog was obviously relaxed and happy. Great experience. Thank you Ladies. Well done. Highly recommended.

He wasn't taking to our dremel over 3 weeks, and they were so long that he needed them done professionally before one tore. Shanna was excellent with him! Even though we had to put on his muzzle (we learned he needed it from his 1st vet appt), he was loud and verbal, she was calm, caring and got the job done! I can't thank her enough! Highly recommend.

Took our 20 yo cat in for an exam. First, they made excuses about accepting the "First Exam Free"…read morecoupon. At first we were happy with the care, mostly due to the nice young vet tech, Damien. The Vet discovered a cardiac problem which we complete unaware of and had never been diagnosed. We took Mango in to address an issue with lack of appetite and were prescribed some pills which are now working. We were given the list of options for bloodwork - and we passed on 2 of the items - the Silencio injection ($51.00) for her arthritis pain and the cardiac blood workup - ($87.00). A week later after we were sure the appetite booster was working (yay) we went back for the Silencio and the cardiac blood workup...guess what? The Silencio was $130 - and they added a vet tech exam - which we were NOT told about - and the blood work up was..wait for it..$225.00! As you can surmise - we will NOT be going back. I left an outraged VM as soon as my hubby returned with Mango. Their explanation of why the prices had changed - you have to make the decision during that exam to have all the work done right them, which is absurd as in all fairness to the pet parent - some of these procedures need to be discussed with your partner and decided in a rational manner - not be put under pressure to "do this right now, or else" - which of course was NOT disclosed to us when we made the decision to hold off. Vet care is expensive enough even with ethical practices - but when you come across unethical behavior in a practice - it just gives veterinarians a bad rap. Shame on you VetCo! Is this how you treat returning patients?

I believe they were remodeling the clinic and had cubicle walls in the center of the store set up as an alternative and I was terrified my cat would leap over the walls and run away or something. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable, and had a very confident and calming demeanor, which I believe contributed to the ease of the appointment. They gave her the vaccines so quick I doubt she even felt it and even did a quick exam. Somehow, they got her back into the carrier without a struggle and before I knew what happened, we were saying goodbye and paying the cashier. I would absolutely recommend this Vetco location to any cat parent needing vaccines!
