Absolute worst customer experience I've ever had in my life. The owner Fred, is incredibly rude. Our delivery was pushed back three times and when they finally came, unannounced and by surprise, the fridge didn't fit in its designated space. When I spoke to Fred on the phone he began to yell at me and was upset when I tried to explain the awful customer experience. He told us not to use the fridge and when I asked him what we do with the food that was in our old fridge his response was "That's not my problem," and then hung up on me. read more

Thanks for nothing. Bought a BROKEN AC and was told to call GE for service. GE came and said it would take 2 weeks to repair. These guys offered me no help getting GE to expedite it, wouldn't give me a loner while it was out, and wouldn't swap it out for a working one even though GE was going to fix it for them. You would think a GE distributor would do a little better than that. All they did was give me 800 numbers to call. Then gave me a local GE repairman's # which just referred back to the 800. "Oh well keep calling he'll pick up" How about you call out of some sense of responsibility to your customers. Didn't even make an effort on my behalf. One guy even told me they had had another customer report the same problem with the same AC, obviously not information he wanted to pass on to me when I had my credit card out. Same as the other reviewer, I was trying to shop local. They probably sold me a refurbished one in the 1st place. Another old business ruined by lazy ingrate nepotists. If I could give negative stars, I would. Ten-thousand negative stars for Best Housekeeping! Congratulations... They are by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of working with. The people who work there are rude, blatant liars who are full of massive stinking piles of guano and therefore when they open their mouths - BS just spews out. They pushed back the delivery date multiple times (days and hours), the "customer service" representative - aka customer anti-service - hung up on me more than once in addition to telling me different stories on the phone every time I called back. They can't even keep their own lies straight, the horror... Unless you relish the experience of working with crooked wannabes (in which case you found a winner) take your business elsewhere. read more

I ordered 4 wall kitchen cabinets to be replaced due to a small kitchen fire. To maximize space in a small kitchen two of the cabinet were ordered with custom depths. A lot of attention was given to taking the order. Cabinets came in time as promised and delivery was received as promised. As per my contractor he found working with Raphael a pleasure. We bought an apartment that had had kitchen cabinets from Best Housekeeping put in about five years previously. The cabinets hadn't aged very well and we were interested in replacing a couple of them, and also in adding a few more to match. I went in to the s tore to find out if this was possible. Every question I asked was answered with a "No, no and no!" Frustrated, I decided to blow it off and leave. The worst business ever. The owner of the business Fred is rude crook. Their appliances are always breaking down, it's hell getting proper service when your appliances break down, they do not exchange and they have no warranty service. Deliveries are never on time and you never get advance notice on your deliveries they don't even call you to schedule a delivery date or time they call you when they are in front of your building and if you take to long to come open the door the delivery guys leave and tell you we'll come back tomorrow. Cabinets are cheap and poorly made they mess up on sizes and colors cabinet orders time and time again. Business is out of date. Go to PC Richards or Home Depot if you want great prices warranty service and nice people this business sucks. I would never buy any appliances or cabinets from them ever again. Just go through the other reviews and see for yourself. I wish I could give no stars or even negative stars. The worse business with the worse customer service. You know that old adage about supporting the little guy, who is still hanging on, after 85 years of neighborhood business? Don't go to the big box stores, despite the fact that they are running crazy deals to move product in this stagnant economy? Well, sad to say, but I would take any Best Buy or PC Richards over the nasty, shady men at Best Housekeeping. My boyfriend put a refrigerator on lay away back in March. He had it all paid off by June and we tried to set up delivery more than once, without any returned phone calls, just the constant leaving of messages for our salesman, Jack. No other employee could assist us, which was punctuated in dial tones to the head each time we called. Finally, Jack got back to us to say that the price of the refrigerator had gone up, along with the sales tax, and that we needed to pay the difference. When we explained that we made the sale before the price and tax increase, he said that there was nothing he could do about it. He had to order a new refrigerator for us, and he needed that extra money. Apparently, he had sold our refrigerator to someone else, and now there was none in stock, so we had to make up for it. It was a lame ride around the carousel trying to explain that this was not our issue, so we just said fine to be done with it. He set up our delivery. We were told 3-5 on Wednesday. He said to call that morning to make sure the truck was still going out. We did, and it was. At noon Jack called to say that the truck was early, that it would be there at 2:30. I told him that I had already made arrangements to leave work at 2 and that I couldn't leave any sooner. After racing from work to get home, Jack called me incessantly, and each time I answered to say that I was on my way. I arrived at 3 and the truck had just left. Instead of apologizing and trying to reschedule, Jack said this was my fault, that I should have cancelled if I couldn't get there on time!? But Jack, you said 3 to 5, and I arrived at 3 on the nose. Well, 2:30 was the "revised" time, and I was entirely at fault. He said 3 to 5 was "approximate." Then why didn't you say 2 to 5? No response. I tried to explain to Jack that I had vast experience scheduling delivery trucks, having worked for garden centers in the past. I said I understood all of the unforeseen events that spring up during the day. However, what I cannot understand is how you tell a customer 3 to 5, change it to 2:30 the day of, and then leave at 3 on the dot, after calling the customer 15 times while they are en route. If I had ever dared to yank a truck from a stop before the given time, especially when I know that they left work to meet it, I would have had my head served on a platter. I would have to issue numerous apologies, a refund, a free delivery, anything to make up for screwing with their lives like that and in the hope that the customer would not be lost forever. Apparently, Jack doesn't know jack about jack-he could care less about repeat business or his reputation. In the past, I have ordered appliances from Best Buy and PC Richards. They honored their delivery times and the price on the sticker when I paid for it. They were also less educated yet more professional and respectful on the phone and in person. So much for this little guy, he should have been put out of misery years ago. read more
