I found this company on Yelp several months ago, having interviewed six landscapers for my rental property in Coronado. Namal DaSilva, the owner-operator, immediately wowed me with his professionalism and willingness to not just listen to my needs, but return phone calls and emails. My large front yard was overgrown with ivy and long neglected (and embarrassing). Namal took a mess and transformed it from awful to amazing. He really listened to me and my vision for the landscape -- I wanted to emphasize drought-resistant and native plants -- and he explained what would work and what wouldn't. My tight budget was respected. Every one of my questions was quickly answered. He is a clear communicator and always promptly responds via voice, text or email. The crew was polite and hard working, with a clearly excellent work ethic (even my tenants pointed that out). He built a beautiful pathway with flagstone and decomposed granite, rehabilitated the shrubs we kept, added a long strip of sod at the curb, completely updated my irrigation (while keeping the control box, which worked fine), and planted an array of largely drought-resistant plants with an emphasis on color and fragrance. He even picked a great shade of mulch. My property looks beautiful. He is maintaining it twice a month and as with the bidding process, his communications and invoicing are professional and top notch. After hours spent researching native landscaping and local landscapers (on yelp and through personal referrals), this was not a casual decision. I sent in a request to get an estimate for lawncare/maintenance on Saturday morning expecting to have my request answered on Monday. Nam De Silva called me a few hours later and said he was in the area, and could he come by now. Absolutely! On his visit he went above and beyond an estimate of my lawn and maintenance. He dug into why my sprinklers may not have been working 100%, a thorough dissection of my water pressure by testing multiple options. 3 people to take care of small lawn which hardly took 15 minutes was quoted $100 just to trim trees and blow leafs out. The service was just ok but the boss who gave the estimate was rude and seems adamant. Will never recommend and use the service again. Worst experience ever!! read more

I scheduled an appointment with this company on 9 Jul 14 at 1800. Two hours later nobody showed up but received an apologetic phone call and asked if we could reschedule so I agreed. We rescheduled for 12 Jul 14 between the hours of 1100-1200. I stayed on that Saturday thinking they would come to redeem themselves. Boy, was I fooled! They NEVER showed up and never received a phone call. I called the company, no answer, and could not leave a message. My Saturday morning was waisted as well as ruined because I was stood up twice in one week. For the guys that had a successful business transaction with this company, you are the lucky ones. For me I will NOT recommend anyone to do business with them and continue your search elsewhere. read more

These guys are great! A small company that is very professional and they know their stuff. They worked for 2 days clearing out landscaping that was well overgrown in a home we just purchased. They went out of their way to even cut some of the trees up for firewood! Who does that?? Claudio was our guy and he was great. I will def be using them for maintenance and other big projects. read more

I have used Nam DaSilva's BEST LANDSCAPING for a couple of months now. They are GREAT! Fixed irrigation system, and are always courteous, polite, and willing to do anything regarding the yards. Very bad experience He significantly overcharged me with wrong time estimate. He said that whole trimming process will take an hour while it just took 25 minutes.Nothing great about trimming the plants. Would highly recommend going with a different company. read more
