I called Rafael with A Star Locksmith to help me create 2 new electronic key fobs for my mother-in-law's car. I was relieved that he was able to work with me, even though the dealership said my mother-in-law herself had to come in to get the keys made. The dealership did not budge and was very rude to me when I informed them that she was currently in the hospital and would be so for a while. Rafael with A Star Locksmith, in contrast, was very understanding and willing to work with me. Of course, he asked for several pieces of proof that I was working on behalf of the owner, which I was more than willing and able to do. After this, he assured me that he would be able to do the job, but would need to order one electronic fob, since he only had one in stock at the time. I told him the job was not urgent and that we could wait until the second fob came in to complete the job. Any time I called or texted, he answered immediately and with exactly the information I needed. I wish more businesses would communicate over text message the way Rafael did, it makes it so much easier to transfer specific information. When the second key fob arrived, he informed me and setup a time to finish the programming of the two wireless key fobs for my mother-in-law's 2010 Buick Lacrosse. He arrived on time and had already completed a portion of the job (laser-cutting the keys) before arriving! His next step was to program the electronics within the keys so that the keyless entry and ignition would work. There were a few problems he encountered during this task because the car had a low battery, but he worked cheerfully to solve each problem as they came up. Furthermore, he did not charge anything additional for solving the unforeseen problems! Finally, he handed over the two working electronic key fobs, my father-in-law and I tested them in several scenarios and they worked beautifully. It was a great experience, end-to-end! In summary, Rafael is an incredible resource able to conquer any problem set before him. He is the type of person that would succeed in any endeavor he set out on. I will keep his number in my address book, and if there is any business I can give him in the future, I will go out of my way to do so. read more

Excellent service from clean cut professional locksmith. Rafael was able earlier than the original appointment. Rekeyed all of the exterior locks and made extra keys. While he was out he adjusted the doors so they locked properly-- foundation shifting. He also suggested several other types of locks that I had not considered for our needs (keypad). Our next door neighbor just happened to get their key stuck in the lock and Rafael came to their rescue. We feel like we got a great deal for all the work he did and was very professional. read more

I fully recommend this business. Rafael replaced my ignition switch in about 20 minutes. Compared to everybody else in town, who was giving me bogus prices and could only do it during the weekdays, Rafael was able to do it on a Sunday morning and at a very reasonable price. Had to get a new pair of keys for my truck after having lost my original, Rafael was resourceful in finding a way to make a copy of the key and was knowledgeable in alternative solutions. Yesterday I locked my keys in my office. I originally called another locksmith which said they could show up in 30-45 minutes. I locked my house and car keys inside my house one morning while rushing out the door to go to work. I called Best Locksmith and was pleased that they answered right away. The dispatched locksmith called me within 5-10 minutes to let me know he was on his way. He was delayed a bit by traffic but called en route to give me an updated ETA. Overall, the communication was great, and I felt his arrival time was still very reasonable especially considering weekday morning traffic in and around Dallas. After researching reviews on Yelp, I settled on Best Locksmith to re-key our house following a move. The team was very understanding of our schedule and moved the appointment a few times to accommodate changes. On the day of our installation, Ben called ahead of time to notify us where exactly he was in route. This made it helpful to plan ahead! The estimate provided over the phone was the same as what was quoted when Ben arrived - this is one of the biggest reasons I would recommend Best Locksmith. All too often, the fees seem to magically change between when an appointment is set and when the technician's arrive. He was able to quickly and successfully change the locks on our house with high quality. He provided a few additional customer service touches that made this company stand out. While he provided a few "upgrade" options, he was not pushy and was actually quite informative. We will be back to Best Locksmith when it comes time for an additional work. read more
