Do not take your diesel here for repairs. The price was right but the work was shoddy. If I could give less than a 1, I would. You can usually tell what kind of mechanics they are by the looks of their shop, dirty and cluttered. Took our diesel truck in to get repaired 7 months ago, only to have to get it repaired again. They had our truck for a month and a half repairing things. They finally figured out that the timing chain broke. We had to fix one of their fixes on the side of the road only to find out that other fixes were just as bad. They replaced the oil pan with, not the original bolts, and not sure what type of gasket they put on, but the truck is now leaking like a sieve from every bolt they put in. They hard wired the ECM, we had to rewire that in order to start our truck. Now we're not sure what kind of a job they did on the timing chain, but we'll have to have that checked when we have the oil pan leaks fixed. No matter how desperate we are, we will never take any vehicle there again. read more

I just had a great day...not so much. This incident was just icing on the cake....I'll spare you the rest .So the wind blew my car door shut while at the gas pump at the Flying J truck stop, locking my keys, phone, my 1 year old baby and my dog inside (while snowing and not wearing a coat). I want to thank Tim and his companion that responded Sunday morning out to E/B I-90 at mile post 314 to SAVE THE DAY. We were driving our 2500HD GMC diesel truck pulling our 32ft fifth wheel. As we ascended the hill on I-90 leaving Bozeman when our truck engine completely shut down. I attempted to pull the large trailer to the side of the road but the weight and lack of momentum did not allow me to get entirely off the roadway safely. The left trailer tires were about 2 feet into travel portion of the road making for an extreme hazard or possible collision. The remarkable part is once Best Rate was contacted the were on scene quickly. They dealt with the situation professionally and knowledgeably. Tim immediately determined the cause for the engine failure. Within minutes he our truck running but didn't leave it at that. He escorted us back to Bozeman to ensure our truck didn't fail again. I was leaving Big Sky area to head south to Yellow Stone when the rear axle blew a seal. I doubled back to Big Sky and as i entered Canyon lot it was pretty much closing but they stopped gave a quick assessment and offer we a few options where to stay as i was hauling a tear drop style trailer with my two dogs. They let me set up there in their lot as parts would take 5 days to arrive. I cant think of a better spot to have this happen. Im from Canada traveling through and i did hear mixed reviews on cost of repairs but never once did i feel concerned. They were super helpful even gave me a lift into town for dog food. The fucking worst tow company in the state of Montana. Works directly with the police. Both are crooks and take advantage of people. Came to pick up my vehicle and the tow company truck driver took my keys with him to Bozeman I ended up waiting an 1 hour and 30 mins for them to get my keys back and was charged $309 for a short tow. Take your business elsewhere unless you like throwing your money away and your keys not being there when you get your car. read more

This towing company is awesome. We broke down outside of Bozeman MT and when I called the gentleman said it would be 30-40 minutes, I explained to him it's very hot and we have two dogs. He said he would hustle the best he could and he got to us in 30 minutes. He went out of his way to make a bad situation better by letting me waiting at the shop which had a shade tree and running water for the dogs, and gave my friend a ride to the airport to get a rental car (which probably saved us $40). I came to Belgrade for the IMCA races on 7/10/15, I checked into the motel and went for dinner when my truck stopped running. I called my road service and stated the tow truck was on the way. It was Best Rate Towing and Repair, they were prompt, helpful and really nice. I needed a mechanic for repairs. I talked to a city policeman and he recommended Best Rate for the repairs also. The young man took my family back to the motel and I went with him to the shop to where I talked to the mechanic (Scott) and he told me it sounds like the fuel pump. He said he couldn't do anything until tomorrow at which point I had no choice, but he was real nice and was apologetic about the wait. Sure enough he was right on the job when he said he would be, he was done within a few hours as he had said and we had a nice conversation while waiting for the parts to arrive. I left for him to finish the job and he called as soon as he was complete with the job. I went back to pick up my truck, it was ready, ran fine and we had a good trip home with no problems.
