I checked in at the front desk for my appointment and was brought in shortly after. The waiting area has a TV, coffee bar, and mini fridge with cold drinks. There are also other activities in the corner, like video games and coloring pages, great for kids. Ms. Diana, the dental hygienist, measured my blood pressure and took x-rays. She did a great job cleaning my teeth and it didn't hurt at all. You can choose your polish flavor - cherry or mint. There are two TVs in the examination room, one on the wall and one on the ceiling. I watched a movie on the ceiling TV to help distract me. Dr. Janice or Dr. Peter will do your examination after and check for cavities. They will let you know if any future treatments are needed and explain any concerns. The dental hygienist or front desk staff will help you schedule your next appointment. They are flexible and ask your preference for times or days of the week to match your availability. They also offer an in-house membership plan if you don't have dental insurance. Kids can get a goodie bag at the end with little toys or stickers along with oral care items. Everyone really put me at ease and the environment is clean. You are in good hands here!

I went to K Family Dentistry & felt very confident in their honesty, and assessment of my oral health. They went through my X-Rays right in front of me, on a large screen. They answered any questions I had about their (conservative) treatment plan. They didn't try to financially gouge me. I'm on a fixed income, so a realistic treatment plan is an absolute necessity for me. I'm finally getting my teeth cleaned for the first time in years! (You don't appreciate the small things, until you're unable to attain them). My Dental check up last year was a nightmare! I never got any treatment beyond X-Rays & an office visit. The Dental office I went to said I needed a $2200+ deep cleaning, de-scaling, & planing over multiple quadrants. They quoted me the price of a new car to fix my teeth. I couldn't finacially swing that, so I got no treatment at all. I want even offered the option of a basic cleaning. They also told me I had severe gum disease. Fearing hearing the same (or worse) this year, I dragged my feet on going to a new dentist. So sad, because I could've actuality used my benefits to enjoy 2 cleanings & fix my teeth at a more convenient pace! Now I'm scrambling to squeeze 2 fillings, a cleaning & a wisdom tooth extraction in during the Holidays...before my current Dental Plan goes away. Lesson learned. Not all dentists are the same! Some care, are honest, & want to see you get the treatment you need. I'm hoping I can find insurance in the Marketplace for 2023 that allows me to continue with Dr. Janice at K Family Dentistry. I was a patient of Dr. Jain's for few years, and as a patient, I had a very positive experience. In…read more2023, we moved away, and our insurance changed. I had undertaken a treatment in June of 2022 that concluded before we left in 2023. In September 2024, more than a year later, Dr. Jain's office reached out to let me know that my insurance company refused to pay the remaining balance for treatment that we began in 2022. Dr. Jain's office and Delta Dental Insurance have an arrangement wherein they pay for treatments month-by-month rather than all at once. Of course, I was surprised to hear that I owed a balance that meant my responsibility was more than 30% higher than what was quoted to me in 2022. Although their office did initially make clear that I would be responsible for costs not covered by insurance, at no point did they communicate that my insurance company would spread these payments out. As I worked with the office to investigate this issue, they quoted me different balances, and they sent me inaccurate statements. It also took their office more than a year to identify this problem. Because I could not trust their statements, I had to do the work to verify their billing with my insurance company, and even now that I have paid in full, I am not confident that I have not been cheated. They were unwilling to negotiate the remaining balance. They did offer me an 8% discount on the remaining balance. The bottom line is that more than a year after my treatment ended, I ended up being charged 30% more than what they quoted me when I agreed to the procedure. In my view, Dr. Jain's practice is fine for routine dental work, but not for more costly procedures. Look elsewhere.

I question the fillings, the last dentist said everything was good, Dr. E "found" several cavities. So the last doc was a quack? Or not? The laser was awesome, I sure hope my new dentist has one!
