I'm not sure how other people were receiving great service. We had a terrible experience, constantly changing appointment times, lack of communication. We were told our repair would happen on Monday, then on Monday were told it would be later that week. When we complained, they said they'd come Tuesday morning. When we checked in on Tuesday morning, they said they were 10 minutes away. 10 minutes later they called and said they'd come Wednesday morning. My 10-year-old American Range oven would not heat up and Ben from Best Sub Zero came out to my apartment in Manhattan to see what was wrong. During our phone call I had described the problem and he came prepared with tools and replacement parts. (It's worth noting that he arrived on time and had called 20 minutes before arriving to confirm that he was on schedule.) Ben correctly diagnosed that I had a problem with my oven's igniter, but unlike most modern ovens, my American Range model (ARR-244) could not be serviced from the front, requiring Ben to pull the oven & stove away from the wall, remove the oven's back panel, and do a fair amount of surgery to reach the offending part. Once he extracted the faulty igniter he produced a box containing the exact matching replacement part, installed the new component, and tested the oven. Success! The entire operation took approximately an hour and a half, a third or more of the time devoted to getting the oven unwedged from its decade-long position in the corner of my kitchen and moving it in and out whenever Ben needed to use the oven's front access panel to assist his repair efforts. Despite needing to move the oven several times, Ben was careful and the oven was repaired without damage to my kitchen floor, the adjoining counter, or the oven's enclosure. Our Wolfe oven kept tripping our circuit breaker and we were desperate, as our oven is our lifeblood during this pandemic. We called Ben late afternoon and he came first thing the next morning.
