A new parking garage was added a year ago that has lots of covered parking and EV chargers. The rental cars are conveniently located at the luggage claim area located downstairs. It is impossible to find someone at the Delta counter no matter how many times someone tells you they're sending a person to help. There is no conflict resolution officer which is a staple at any reputable airport. If you're flying on a different airline and dare to ask a competitor a question they treat you like you are not a person. Pretty much anyone you ask anything of will tell you they don't know. Clearly the staff is poorly trained has no customer service skills and it is impossible to reach the executive branch. While the Delta flights are typically good. The ground crew is terrible and the worst I've ever seen is at the Sioux Falls Joe Foss Field regional airport. They do not respect your time or your money. I waited an hour to find someone to help me meanwhile paying for parking. I got no one. Apparently the only way to contact an agent is to use their email. Even airport management sent emails instead of making phone calls or using a walkie-talkie. It's outrageous. This is the last of my experiences with this airport. Sure it's only 40 minutes from my doorstep but I would rather travel the two hours to Minnesota and have a pleasant experience then work with incompetent rude disrespectful slovenly dirty and lackadaisical individuals at this airport.

Yeah, so maybe all the bigger airlines aren't lined up like they are in Minnesota/St. Paul, yet my Airlines I usually fly are here for my flying pleasure. The Airport itself is never really crowded and chaotic like bigger airports tend to be., And that's what keeps me coming to South Dakota, I live in SWMN so for me it's a 90-minute drive that I find to be peaceful and scenic, and I love the quick drop-offs and pick-ups. The staff is always extremely helpful from check-in till you reach your gate This past winter, the Airport finished up a new indoor long-term parking structure that's directly across and steps from the front entrance too.
