I have been really disappointed with Best Waste. I tried calling several times months ago when I needed a roll off for an upcoming remodeling project. No one ever called me back. I switched to a different trash service. I cancelled with Best waste over a month ago and they still haven't picked up their cans. I have called and still no pick up. These guys have a better price point and better service than my previous trash collection company. Guys were great the first 8 or so months. Seems to be changing or maybe a different crew because they are letting trash drop outside the truck and down the road. Really awful service. The company never answers the phone. They recently changed it to where instead of picking up 2 additional bags they only pick up what is in the rolling bin. So now I have an overflow of trash outside. They don't value their customers and they can careless about how much they provide for the money you pay. read more

We've been with them for less than a year and they've neglected to pick up our trash on three separate occasions. We live in an HOA with rules about how long the trash can be left at the curb. It's been over a week now and they still haven't picked it up with 4th of July weekend rapidly approaching. Customer service just gives us the run around. Entire company is completely incompetent. The driver missed our pickup day Tuesday. I called and was told to give them till 5:00 PM. I called again Wednesday,and was told it would be picked up within 24 - 48 hours. No pickup. I called a third time Friday. I was told a work order was made Wednesday. I was then told an email was sent to dispatch about the issue. I asked if the trash would be picked up. I was told only the dispatcher would know. Sounds a lot like "that's not my job" to me. read more

I heard a lot of good things about Best Waste and switched to the a couple of years ago. They were great. Always picked up our trash on time. We have their can, a smaller one that I purchased and an even smaller open top outdoor trash can. For over 2 years, we put them out and they picked them up. Today they left half of our trash. When we called, the lady was rude and stated we were over the limit. I informed her that it's the same amount we have had for the past 2+ years. She said they picked it up as a courtesy. I asked if there was a bigger trash can or a small dumpster. She was not interested in helping find a solution. I said that I guessed we would have to cancel our service and find someone who could pick up our trash. Her only comment was "when would you like your last day to be". Horrible customer service. Rude and unhelpful staff. I didn't want anything for free and was not upset with them about the trash. I was looking for a solution. If there was an on-going issue with our amount of trash, you would think I would have got a phone call or letter in the past 2+ years. But their solution was to leave half the trash and be rude to the customer asking to upgrade and pay them more for their service. What has happened to customer service? read more

We moved into our new home in New Braunfels down 46 and established waste services. They were on time for our recycle each week but when it came to picking up our trash they became more and more unreliable. I've made a few calls to get our trash picked up since now it has been more than 2 weeks without a pickup. They said that they can only send an email to their operations department and would get back with me. Meanwhile, our trash is still sitting at the curb with no resolution. Terrible customer service, deliver date was pushed back months, and eventually had to cancel. avoid if possible. No confirmation emails are sent, no receipt, essentially you are trusting the person on the other end of the phone that they are going to do what they say ( which they don't). THE WORST TRASH COMPANY!!!! They haven't picked up my trash in almost a month. There was one week where the bill was missed, because it was supposed to be on auto pay, but this was fixed. They then went on to skip our house last week again. I called and they promised a make up pick up on Friday or Monday. They skipped us again today. Our trash hasn't been picked up 4 times over the course of 6 weeks. I called every time and was only credited once. Why are we paying so much money for such a piece of shit service?? Horrible company, I do not recommend! It's been a month and they still haven't dropped off my garbage can to begin my service! I have an air Bnb so we have plenty of trash and I'm have to pay someone to remove it because I don't have trash service yet! We have been a customer of Best Waste for over four years and are very happy with their consistency and professionalism. The crew always picks up after themselves when taking our trash and are friendly to boot. Kevin at Best Waste contacted us a couple of months ago about having to raise rates temporarily due to the ridiculous cost of fuel, and kept his word as my latest bill was adjusted down again. Recommending a name change.... Poor customer service and the lack of caring, they have left me bringing up a full can on several occasions due to lack of communication. On a very rainy Saturday after Thanksgiving, I had to drive out of the area - EVERY cart that was a Best Waste cart was closed and EVERY cart that was another company was left open to collect rain:/ Also, your drivers are so courteous and so are your staff! They never speed down our street and they wave to us and our granddaughter can't wait to see them coming to our house! It makes her day (and mine!) I'm a seventy year old and been with best for years. Always giving a cold drink in the summer time and cards with money at Christmas. Lately very sloppy pick up. My trash is in my yard , my neighbors yard and in the street. When calling this in, you get to talk to a rude woman. Deep seated anger. It's enough to make the move to another company. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! We have used Best Waste for 4 years or so, and have been happy with them until now! The office manager is very rude! It is NEVER ok to hang up on a customer, I don't care your day has been! When I pay for a service, I EXPECT the service to be done!! She blamed it on my trash not being out but it was. I have called (the office manager) TWICE and asked the owner call me back. Been waiting two weeks and still have not heard from Royce! It's easy to overlook the things that make your day go smoothly, until something happens that continuously makes your day harder. Best Waste crew members are trained to make your day go smoothly. They even replace the trash bins in a way that makes it easy for you to return and not in the middle of your driveway. That is true consideration and great training. Every trash day I know I don't have to get up early to return my trash bins as they are going to be placed right at the edge of the driveway ready for me to roll it up. It's a small thing, but it's also a detail that other companies don't do! Communication is great. They are very dependable. a few weeks ago my trash supposed to be picked up on wed- did not pu when i called them they said well your trash day moved to friday but i was not told about this until i called and then person on phone rude. then last week no pu on friday when i called on monday they said they would get it but they had 24 to 72( 3days) to get it -well called back thursday no pu lady said that request for pu not put in on on monday(when i called) but not go in until end of business on monday(hence tues ) which gave them 72 hours to pu which was friday time for this weeks pu. lady on phone could not give phone number to upper mgmt said all she could do is email local person no phone number to call but the people she can email are matthew clark and christopher haines they need to be fired. that diversity your company brags about not working out so well for your customers. why dont you hire people that can handle trash pu not figure out how many hours they have not to do read more

They are always careful about emptying the trash can and placing it back near the spot it was placed by the owner. I have spoken with two and they were very cordial and enjoyed the job. I have never found trash scattered or the trashcans simply tossed toward the property like some other collectors have done. I highly recommend this company. read more

Switched to Best recently. Did not pick up recycle bin twice in 4 months. The second time I spoke with owner who told me the driver said my bin was not at the road. Told him it was there and insisted that they pick up the trash or I would switch services. The owner instructed me to go ahead and switch. Which I did. The bins sat at the road for 3 days before I moved them back onto my property. Without the courtesy of a call, they showed up and walked my property, with no body home, until they found the bins. They are lucky my son was not home! Anyway, looks like they picked up the trash after all! Geniuses. Unprofessional management reflected in the attitudes of the employees. Great Job! read more

Very good service till 2 weeks ago. I have 2 40gal lawn clippings cans that I set beside my provided roll bin. I've had this service for 1yr and until two weeks ago all of my cans were emptied entirely. The last 2 pick-ups the lawn clippings cans have been left with 1/4 contents still in the can (not emptied). One more chance, if it happens again. I'll go with Tiger Waste. read more

I am pretty happy with my service. I have had issues with other companies in the past, but no issues or missed pick ups so far. They provide one large can and allow you to use your own can for additional trash needed (up to a certain amount). We did have to get used to just one pick up a week. I would give full 5 stars if they offered recycling services, but I think that is unavailable with other companies as well, for this area. Still, I'm pretty happy with Best Waste. read more

they get you in with flier of great rates and scheduled bulk pick up twice a year. Then pandimic hit and too busy for schedule bulk pick up. Then we never advertised bulk pick up even though I have mail out in my hand. Now just plain don't pick up trash. Pay for 3 months service ahead of time and no one can tell me why my trash was not picked up and this was after 3 phones calls with promise of we will get right back with you. read more

i just want to say that I've had Best waste for trash service for the last four years three of which are in San Marcos and this year about four months ago when we moved to Seguin. Today I called the office wondering why my trashcan wasn't picked up unknowingly they had already passed by the time that I put it out which I did verify all my cameras I barely missed him. When I called the office she (Victoria) I think checked with the driver which confirmed it was not out and I told them no big deal trash is not overflowing you can get it next week. She was super friendly and helpful! But then three minutes later literally three minutes! I hear a beeping noise and they're backing up down the street to pick my can up. They happen to be passing by and instead of just continuing on and saying screw it they took the extra two minutes out of their day to stop and take care of my trashcan and give what I would believe is exceptional customer service. Running a fairly large service business myself if I could find employees that went the extra mile I'd be not just a millionaire but a multimillionaire! read more

I had service with another company but they didn't fulfill their promise but Best Waste has fulfilled and went beyond what I was expected. The drivers are so friendly. They are always waving and smiling so I know they enjoy their job which is one of the reasons they give such great service. When I went out to meet the guys with cold drinks I found there was only one working the route. He had to drive get out empty bin jump back in and do it all over again for the WHOLE route in 100 degree weather. Awesome job and hopefully will have a partner soon.
