Friendly staff, lots of towels, good breakfast clean but worn. Hotel near interstate so easy access also interstate noise. Rug well worn. Hot tub out, exercise room in adjoining hotel.

Dirty carpet when you walk in.

They are pet friendly but Too much money for what the room is worth. I would hope the windows would open to let the room breathe a little, musty smell and the AC wasn't working.

    That fresh remote tho

On a last minute decision to stay in Dunkirk, I kayak'ed and for some reason decided to stay here when there were better options. I stayed at the Comfort Inn last time and it was cheaper and newer. The address is somewhat screwed up depending on what you use for navigation. I used my iPhone to guide me here when my Garmin lead down the road despite the big Best Western sign. I was thinking since I booked a Best Western Plus room and my Garmin was taking me elsewhere, that there would be a more upscale place. The hotel itself is pretty old but it's been revamped from what I could tell. When I went to my room, the door was wide open with the lights off. Not sure if that's normal but I've never experienced anything like that before. On the bed, that was made, my pillows were just thrown there. It's almost like someone was still tidying it up. I noticed by the front door that there was some red stain on the carpet. I'm guessing someone partied too hard. The room is nice and the bathroom is enormous! Something I never experienced before was a "fresh" remote was left on on the dresser. It was packaged as such. Interesting. They offered a hot breakfast in the morning which I took advantage of. Basic school food items as I opted for a few sausages and the omelet(not sure if I want to even call it that). If I was to stay in Dunkirk again, I'd probably pick somewhere else. I almost stayed by the lake but decided against it. Maybe I'll do that next time.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the ambience, comfort, food, and hospitality offered by Martin and Phillip. This is an elegant, first class, traditional Bed & Breakfast with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The mansion is less assuming on the outside than the White Inn, which I've stayed at many times before, but is much classier, far more comfortable, and much higher quality. Martin and Phillip create a peaceful and cozy home away from home with glowing fireplaces, soft music, bottomless cups of tea/coffee, and impeccable and creative Farm to Table meals that alone make the stay worth your while. If you are looking for an elevated experience to rest your soul and lift your spirits, you need not look any further than this quaint and charming treasure.

The beds were comfortable and soft. The shower water was super hot. The entire house is filled with Victorian period antiques. For breakfast she had the included gingerbread pancakes and I had the frittata. Delicious! The coffee was hand-pressed fresh and the juice & muffin were tasty. Downtown Fredonia and its National Registry twin commons has a variety of pubs and eateries an easy three blocks away. Highly recommended for a Fredonia Village stay.

We were getting ready for bed and noticed the white powder. We have used this ourselves for pest control . It's called diatmecous earth . We've been started to inspect the bedding and found live bedbugs behind the bed and and sides , also bed bug skin and poop . We immediately gathered the children and what things we had in the room and garbage bags and checked out. We told them they have bedbugs and it's pretty obvious they are aware because they laid the white powder down and still continue to book the room. They told us they would give us a refund and they never did. We stay July 15, 2023.

There was food crumbs and empty cups on the floor. The bathroom looked like it was repaired by children. The shower head was covered in something brown. The tub dripped the entire time. The coat rack was rusted and had miscellaneous paint stains. If I could give zero stars I would. Stay elsewhere.

I discard any negativity or bad reviews. This was a pleasure from setting up reservation to enjoying the ambiance and the Hotels offerings. It even has its own laundry center! A picnic table on the back great lawn and free continental breakfast with very good coffee. The housekeeping staff were always around and checking in to see if we needed anything. The place is immaculate. We arrived early this past Sunday morning and had the privilege of meeting Lori who is the desk clerk. She was nothing but kind, overly friendly and extremely helpful. I need to also mention Linda who helped set up my reservations. You just do not get this level of service at other hotel brands, I know for a fact. All businesses have ups and downs but to read a review here that's not to my liking says that person doesn't even like themself! I will be making this location my go to hotel when I come up from Long Island to visit my Daughter at Fredonia school of music. I want to add the rooms were spacious and included brand new updates including refrigerator with huge freezer. Beds comfy and rooms spotless. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who needs lodging in the Fredonia/Dunkirk areas. The staff makes for the best stay when it comes to hospitality. I will be telling all my brothers in the American Legion, Moose Lodges and Fredonia parents to make this their place to stay when in the area. Thank you for a great enjoyable visit. It was very amazingly awesome! Sincerely, Lenny F. Long Island, NY
