I am wondering if this is where the smoke detector is suppose to be. Not sure.

Got stuck staying at this gem since the wife failed to book a room in a timely manner further down the road. First impressions, it's not to bad, I've stayed in worse. Okay, let's get down to it. Do not, I repeat, do not bring bring very much luggage unless you enjoy carrying your belongings up two flights of stairs. There is no elevator in this entire building. To top it off, once you get to the 2nd floor, you have to place all your belongings on the floor and maneuver through another door before hitting the hallway. Once entering the room, it appeared clean, until I noticed the trash hadn't been taken out from whoever rented it out prior. Second thing I noticed, the smoke detector is missing from the ceiling and has wires exposed. The AC had to be lowered below 60 degrees in order to cool the room. Overall consensus of the room, it's very CHEAPLY put together and since I'm not a local meth head, I guess I had better expectations. My advice, splurge on the extra $20 and stay in Durant or The Denison/Sherman area if you don't mind driving 10-25 more miles. This will be the last time I ever stay here again.

In Dallas for work and decided to make a long weekend. We left hotel in Ft Worth on Saturday…read moremorning and drove 1.5 hours to Durant OK. This resort was amazing. It was my second time but my husbands first time. We checked in at the spa tower. Valet was included in our resort fee of 19.99 per day. Check in was easy and we went to get our casino cards. We walked around about 4 hours, even tho our room was ready when we arrived. Dropped our bags and left. We were on the 9th floor. Nice room and decent view. The casino is gigantic! So many games, slots and table games. There is a movie theater , concert venue, bowling alley, arcade, several restaurants and bars and a food court. We didn't make it to the pool but got wristbands in case we had time. Only there for 1 night. Casino: slots were tight but I played for most of the night on various blackjack and roulette games. My winnings were steady. There are plenty of machines. The only negative is while you are playing, bar service is pretty much nonexistent. I saw waitresses walking around the tables but not once at the machines and we were all over. Get your own drinks at a bar or cart before sitting or prepare to get up to get them. Food: we ate at Smashburger for lunch. I really enjoyed my burger and fries. They were smash fries with a nice sauce on them and truffle oil. The burger was flavorful. I got a caramel Cinnabon. Another great treat. For dinner we went to the seafood buffet. It was 55.00 each and we were excited. Every.single.thing was overcooked. Fried fish, shrimp, chicken and snow crabs, all overcooked so hard I couldn't finish one bite of any of them. That bad. The etouffee was good but the rice was crispy. I immediately called for the manager. She apologized profusely and offered a full refund. Yeah we couldn't eat there. Great service and I hope they took the feedback and made changes. Finally, I ate velvet taco and hubby had chicken strips from the hot chicken place , good late night eats on both fronts. Checkout time on Sunday arrived too fast but we got packed up to hit the road and got our free soft drinks to go. Got the valet validated and on our way. Excellent stay and we will go back. You do not have to leave once you get there.

If I'm paying over 50 bucks for a plate that I'm suppose to use more than 1x then I'd like to have did that. But it wasn't worth the extra plates. The crab legs were very skinny with little to no meat inside of them. If you need me to elaborate on the rest of the restaurants I certainly can. I for one don't feel like it's worth my time. I already wasted my money.

The best western Markita inn was the most affordable with the most stars, without being a dingy motel that probably has some sort of trafficking being run out of it. So I booked and prayed for the best. We pulled out pretty late and I'll admit, I was a bit nervous when I saw the place. But, was immediately put at ease. The lady who checked us in was so helpful, friendly and professional and QUICK! Knowing it was late and I had a crying baby in the car. She sensed the tiredness. Lobby was clean and smelled good. Our room was a bit outdated, they *could* do renovations and fix up the rooms a bit, but the room was clean! I hate carpeted hotels, but the carpet didn't feel too squishy and gross like hotels do at times. The room was clean, beds clean and comfortable. It was a quiet stay. We had breakfast the next morning and it was great! Full breakfast (biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, potatoes, waffles, etc.) and the waitress was so helpful and great. I'm not a big cry baby about outdated rooms as long as it's clean and staff is friendly, professional and I feel safe. It was a great experience. We will be staying again on our way home. Thank you for taking pride in your business and love to see it owned by a Choctaw Nation member.

The bed was very poorly made and looked ridiculous, and the fitted sheet would not stay on AT ALL. The TV didn't work, and I had to look up the phone number and call the front desk on my cell phone to see about getting the tv fixed because the phone in the room didn't work, either! Breakfast was a joke. They had biscuits and gravy. The gravy came from a broke container and was ice cold. The orange juice was colored water. They had bagels but no cream cheese. They ran out of waffle batter. The waffle maker look to be vantage World War II surplus. The ice machine was broken on the first floor and I had to go upstairs to get ice. At 6:47 the fire alarm sounded. The guy down the hall finally went to the front desk as you couldn't call on the room phones. I wonder what would've happened in an actual emergency. It is very pet friendly. The staff friendly enough. Unfortunately not much worked in the hotel. Way over priced for what we received in return. Very poor!
