People were in the lobby with bathing suits on and the banquet area(close to our room) had two large events going on. One was a girls gymnastics banquet with the girls running and playing in the common area. The surprising thing was that when we closed the door to our room, we couldn't hear any of the noise coming from the banquets, very nice. Our room was clean and we had a mostly"restful night's sleep until there was a very loud, aggressive, series of knocks on our door at 8:15 in the morning. I was sleeping as check out wasn't until 10am. After being woken up, a second very loud series of knocks a few seconds later, caused me to get up and investigate the noise. By the time I got to the door, a third series of again very loud banging knocks were coming from our door and as I got to the door, I could hear the mechanics of the door and someone was entering our room. I physically pushed the door closed and yelled"what are you doing?!" We got dressed and went to the front desk to let them know what had just occurred. The woman at the front desk casually said"oh that must have been house keeping". I explained that as guests, this was not OK and if he had walked into the room I would've been standing there without any clothes on. It all seemed matter if fact to the front desk staff. Check In at this hotel is 4pm. That should give the house keeping team ample time for cleaning and preparations for the next guests to arrive. If it weren't for this experience, I would've given this hotel a higher ranking. Unfortunately, it gets a very generous 3. After all, most guests come for a good night's sleep

We were midway on a road trip and stopped here, and it looked so promising online before actually experiencing it. The car area to drop bags up front is a small semi-circle and a bit chaotic. Cars get stuck easily if just one car up front takes too long. So it's kind of a weird 'welcome' as it is. From there, I think I may've experienced the most checked-out-check-in guy I've ever seen working the counter. It was actually impressive, like a caricature of someone who hates his job. I said hello, he stared at me. I guided him through how to check me in essentially, giving my ID, spelling my name out, and a credit card. He said not a word. I had to ask everything; ok and the elevators are that way? Breakfast is what time? Parking is where? etc. One big draw for this summer road trip with our longest day driving so no matter the weather, we knew they could swim here. Nope, pool was closed and that set everyone off. Girls were like "this trip stinks we wanna go home!" The room was fine, smelled a bit mildewed. Nothing too bad, but just fine overall. The breakfast the next day was poor quality, IMO. The oatmeal was impressive in that it was somehow super watery AND super thick and gummy. The fruit options are minimal, and it's sort of more 1990's continental breakfast than Hampton Inn. I was excited to see hard boiled eggs but they left the shell on and they were super sticky, so that was a one and done. Luckily the staff on the way out was friendlier than the guy before (would be hard not to be) and the hotel luggage carts came in handy. Other than that, very forgettable, and I would definitely go elsewhere next time around despite the nice location for this hotel.

Check in was efficient although the room I chose during check in wasn't the one I got. I didn't complain as I got a similar room just a different floor. A couple items to note the clock was really dusty so probably needs to wiped down and the lotion in the wall pumps needed a refill. I was there four days and was pretty much empty throughout the stay. Now for the pluses- a good variety of food for the free breakfast, water filling station, large room with full size refrigerator and microwave, lots of charging outlets and living room area. Lots of parking and close to restaurants, markets and other stores.

This week I got to stay in a handicapped room, which I don't mind, stayed in many Hilton handicapped rooms actually but THIS TIME I got to experience a bright strobe like flash every 15 minutes all night long. I am sure it's an apparatus for a deaf customer but it was AWFUL to experience. The Walgreens down the road sells eye masks but why should rooms have strobe lights all night long to require it. I did ask for maintenance to fix it but they had an excuse the first day but no excuses for the rest of the week. I was offered an alternative room by Wednesday but I guess I assumed it would get fixed the next day. I miss great sleep and that great manager.

Upon arrival, the front desk employee was rude, displayed no customer service skills, and did not smile. Due to this unacceptable interaction and complete lack of service training from management, I felt forced to cancel my three-night stay. I expect better standards from Hilton and Hampton Inn.

The lounge serves breakfast and it's healthy and tastes good and I especially love the fresh fruit of pineapples, cantaloupe, and blackberries and blueberries and strawberries. Upon arriving in our room - again first glance was okay. But there was a large flickering light fixture in the bathroom, and when we visited relatives in another room the same thing was happening there. Not a deal breaker, but oddly annoying - though not as annoying as the barely lukewarm shower in the morning. Oh yeah - no bathroom exhaust fan either. WHY DON'T ALL HOTEL BATHROOMS HAVE AN EXHAUST FAN? For heating/cooling there was no 'constant fan' option in our room (though our relative's room DID have that feature), which meant overnight the a/c went ON AND OFF loudly on an irregular basis, usually just went we briefly dozed off. And when it was off you could hear every door slam, people talking in the hallway, doors slamming, and people running back and forth down the hall. That is until the a/c went briefly on again. Loudly. We asked the front desk for a fan (to use as some kind of white noise device) but they didn't have one. Pillows were flat and hard, only compounding what was easily the worst night sleep (or lack thereof) I have ever had in a hotel. And I have stayed in a few skeevy joints. The hotel bar apparently closed early on the night we wanted to stop in for a cocktail, so we missed out on that. The whole 'closing early' thing is also a pet peeve of mine. We were told we could not bring our own cocktails down to the lobby, though there was a large table of boisterous teenagers playing poker - so I guess that was ok but not four adults sharing a quiet drink. The room keys were very temperamental - working sometimes and not others. We were told when signing in not to keep keycards near credit cards or they wouldn't work (never had that issue other places, but whatever). Even keeping the key in a separate and empty shirt pocket did not prevent the wonky access issues, which required a few visits to the front desk to have the keycard 'fixed'. Complimentary breakfast was ok, though our party did have some disagreements on the food quality. In all fairness it was about what I was expecting. Short version: noisy, uncomfortable, noisy, and uncomfortable. I can't stress how horrible the overnight stay was here. Sure - your mileage may vary but you have been warned.

So ya gotta stick your finger in it and unwind the TP. And no hangers for wet towels. Small-ish TV, not able to log into Netflix or other apps like other hotel chains. No real plugs for device charging. Batteries for remote control were sealed in with electric tape. No safe for valuables. No alarm clock. I don't think the bathroom had a ventilator fan. Key cards were temperamental at best. Shower door was a half door, which I believe was intentional, however water ran out onto the bathroom floor. No housekeeping either? You apparently have to request housekeeping, however there's no signs or information at check in about requesting housekeeping. Elevator out of service at end of hallway. I leave reviews about once every two or three years. I felt I needed to leave this one. I had my high school senior dinner here and my fraternity end of year formal here. Those days seem to be over. This is a Wyndham property? Does corporate know about the condition of this hotel? Over 600$ for three nights. First night, Saturday, was 300$. I could have likely had a hotel in downtown Chicago for that.

It is a decent Hampton inn located in between saint Louis to Chicago for a short overnight stay. The staff were friendly. This Hampton inn is pet friendly which is a plus for our next time trip. Free breakfast is also a plus. Today there was cereal, banana, apples, blueberry cones, eggs, sausage, waffles,bread that I could remember.

Looks very similar to one we stayed at in Oklahoma, but without a lounge chair or separate chest of drawers. I loved the long table/counter with extra shelves to keep shoes and stuff off the floor. The end table between the beds also has extra shelves and plugins for charging electronics. The TVs also welcomed us by name and allowed us the option to stream content from our phones. Only complaint is that not all the features worked on the tv remote. The sleep timer and input buttons wouldn't work. The beds were super comfy and gave full sized pillows. The last hotel we stayed in only gave us small square pillows and only about three of them which equals about one and a half regular sized pillows...ridiculous. After staying here, we have decided that whenever traveling we will always stay at a Candlewood.

Which isn't a good thing. Heating/cooling unit made a clicking sound throughout the night. It woke me up at one point. Then you got used to it. We typically book accessible rooms. This king room was really big. No lounge/sitting chair though. Only the desk chair. Lobby was decorated so pretty. Loved the colors. We didn't eat the complimentary breakfast. Appeared to be typical choice-make your own waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, eggs. Not sure if we'd stay there again. We usually select spots off Veterans Parkway closer to the airport

I grabbed this room with some points I had and made I think they gave me the "free" room. You know the one that sucks the most so they can't charge much for it? Yeah, that room. Bed was hard. The springs make noise when you turn over in bed. My back will be pretty bad tomorrow. The pillows are soggy, sad, flat, little folds of pillow case. I'm not even sure there is a pillow inside of one of them. I will be calling Marriott tomorrow. This place does NOT fall within their guidelines. It's terrible.
