The breakfast was okay but the sausages were super dry and basically inedible. It seems like they were consistently overcooked or something. Overall, the facility was clean and the rooms were decently appointed with a fridge and microwave. When we checked in, Joseph kindly offered to bring our luggage up stairs because there was no elevator. On the third day we were there, I had an issue with housekeeping not coming to our room the prior day and before we left for the day I went to the front desk and specifically asked for fresh towels and for the trash to be emptied. It was before 11 and I had removed the Privacy Please sign from the door. The woman at the desk wrote down my room number and specifically mentioned that housekeeping hadn't gotten to my room yet that day so they would have cleaned it anyway even if I hadn't asked. We came home after a long day and....nothing had been done. I went to the front desk and Joseph was very kind and came up to our room with fresh towels and put the trash out in the hallway. Upon check out, I thought I would mention the situation to the manager on duty. To be clear, I was just giving feedback. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything. He got super defensive and kept saying you left the Privacy Please sign on your door and that's why this happened yesterday. I kept telling him I was not talking about the prior day but something that happened a few days ago. He just would not listen. At the end of the day, things happen and people make mistakes. It's how it is handled and whether a business tries to do better that counts. All the manager at checkout needed to say was thanks for the feedback and I'll pass it on. Based upon my interaction with this man, I do not believe he should be in a customer facing position. Have stayed here before - seems to be going downhill - new management? Breakfast mediocre- dry sausages (leftover from previous morning) coffee tepid and strong - took quite a few creamers to.put a dent in it. Would look more professional if staff could at least wear polo shirts with Best Western logo - Street clothes looks unprofessional and if they present themselves to the door would not be able to identify as staff. read more

They have bed bugs and are in denial. So I made a yelp to share with the world my poor experience. I have proved my evidence of being there and also the time stamp on my photograph as well. I am cherry on Google. Thanks for your concern with my screen name. I understand that it a touchy subject but best prevention for bedbugs is communication. Bed bugs are small and can hide easily. This was definitely a baby bed bug. Where there is one there is typically more. ( Exspecially when babies are found.) They can go undetected easily as well if it is just the early stages. Makes my skin crawl just thinking of it. The guy there was kind at night time if that counts for anything. But yeah bugs are a big no for me, freaked me out. The owner, a guy with a very heavy Indian accent who says his name is "Bryan Baker" stiffed my high school reunion class. We reserved 8 rooms for our out of town reunion attendees. The owner would not give us a discount price for these rooms. Then 3 weeks before our reunion, the owner notified us that the rooms that were still open had to be paid in full or he would release them. He was a rude jerk and as insulting as anyone I have ever talked to. This guy, Bryan Baker recently purchased this hotel. The old owners were local and always worked well with us on class and family reunions. This was a really well run small town family business. I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years. I recently stayed there and after I checked out I received a phone call stating that a framed picture with glass covering had been found on the floor, and that the hotel was going to charge me $200! I went back to the hotel and saw that it had very obviously fallen off the wall all on its own! The manager Christy(ie?) promised to call me by the end of last week after speaking with the owner Kalpesh Patel; however as I expected she didn't call me back. I called the hotel directly this morning, and lo and behold she answered the phone. I asked her what the status of this problem was and she replied that KP said he would split the charge and reduce it to $100! I then asked her to have KP call me asap, and her reply was "he'll call you if he feels like it!" What an answer from a manager! So beware people, I suggest going forward that if you dare stay at this hotel, that you take a photo of the room(s) with a time stamp on the photo, so the same thing doesn't happen to anyone else. They've lost my business and I shall be warning others that I know who stay there. I will be suing them in Small Claims Court also to send a message that this is not how to treat a very loyal Best Western customer who has been very loyal to this hotel. read more

Absolutely Excellent. Very friendly staff to check-in (thanks Brandy!) and very clean, good smelling hotel. The room was great. It was updated to all modern decor and furniture.. and best part, it was sooo clean. The remote was even sanitized! Shower was very clean and no scum at all! Towels were thick and clean. The room was fresh smelling. Dorothy did a great job cleaning it. They even had happy hour that night and the next morning breakfast was awesome. Potatoes, sausage (not actually burnt and dry, like hotel breakfasts usually are), eggs, chobani yogurt, waffles, granola bars, oatmeal, coffee, milk (could use carton milks instead of pouring.. but it worked), and juice. We have stayed here twice in the last 4 years with another family. Both times the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The beds are a little soft for our preference but still nice. The indoor pool is warm and clean, and open until midnight! They also do a great job with the continental breakfast which includes pastries, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, sausages and omelets. I don't know how this place has so many great reviews. Tried to stay here on a Saturday and they were fully booked except for their hospitality room. We took it and the room just had a stench to it and seemed very, very dusty. I had to call the front desk to get extra pillows because each double bed only had 1. The breakfast in the morning was nice, but only ok. It was about $130 for the night. read more

This hotel was fantastic. The rooms were cozy and clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. The continental breakfast was fabulous and had a wide variety of choices. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They also had customer appreciation night one of the nights of our stay which includes free beer, wine and snacks. For being pretty much in the middle of nowhere, it's a wonderful option. We stayed here to go to the Packers game. It's about an hour from Lambeau Field. I would definitely stay here again! read more

I was pressured by the owner to delete my previous review, but I've stayed at this hotel quite a few times and feel strongly about sharing my experience especially after the very rude phone call I received from the owner. All info in this review is truthful and honest, and the owner is welcome to respond to this review with any additional info. To be clear, I will not be staying here again unless I have to because of a group travel situation because of the treatment I received from the owner himself. This hotel has been renovated in the last few months so all the rooms look and smell brand new. The decor is also much more modern, and includes some interesting paintings and wall art that show Chilton geography and history. Rooms include a fridge and microwave so it's convenient to make food in your room rather than going out to eat. This was helpful as I spent 5 nights in the hotel last week. There is also a McDonald's within walking distance to the hotel, and a Wal Mart within a five minute drive. Room service was thorough and I always had fresh towels. I did not have to ask for anything, everything was provided in the room. All of the front desk employees I encountered were polite and helpful. Hot and cold breakfast was available everyday as early as 6am. I tried breakfast a few times and have no complaints. The plasticware is also made available in the lobby kitchenette after breakfast which is convenient if you are eating lunch or dinner in your room. Now, the reason for my disagreement with the owner, after spending 5 nights in this hotel and before setting foot in my own home I was covered in bed bug bites on my legs, arm, neck and hand. I have pictures to prove this as well as a report from the Urgent Care I visited one day after checking out from this hotel. After notifying the hotel, they promptly contacted a professional service to perform an inspection and per the phone call I received from the owner they did not find any evidence of bed bugs. They contacted me within 24 hours to notify me of these results, and purport to have documentation proving these results. I honestly don't doubt these findings, my luggage could have become infested on the airplane and that is what caused me to suffer all of the bites I'm still recovering from. I would feel confident staying in this hotel again if it were not for the treatment I received from the owner. The owner insinuated I was lying about my experience even after I told him I have proof, and the phone call I received from him was just short of an outright threat. I have a right as a patron of this hotel to share the truth behind my experience and I've made an attempt in this review to be as helpful to future customers as possible. Clean, courteous, comfortable. I took two rooms here for the AirVenture fly-in at Oshkosh this year, because frankly the hotels closer to Oshkosh didn't get very good reviews. This hotel is newly refurbished, the rooms are clean, large, and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet won't knock your socks off but it gets the job done: granola, yogurt, eggs and meat of some sort, make-your-own waffles, coffee, juice, etc. The only drawback is it's a long drive to Oshkosh, but others must have reached my conclusion because the hotel was full of Oshkosh attendees. read more

Although the facility was fine, the service was terrible. We traveled last minute so were happy to find a room here. When we first called to make a reservation, we were left hanging for long periods with no explanation. Not on hold, just sitting for multiple minutes while, seemingly, they messed with the printer and talked to other staff members. This happened 3 or 4 times. Check in was also slow. One night, we asked if any stores nearby might be open to by beer. Instead of a reasonable "no", we were blatantly mocked by the staff member. She proceeded to tell us "the next time you go somewhere, you should look up what time places close." In general, my fellow guests and I were treated as if we were getting paid to endure the staff's offensive antics, and nothing about the hotel suggests they value their guests. read more
