When we checked in, Joseph kindly offered to bring our luggage up stairs because there was no elevator. On the third day we were there, I had an issue with housekeeping not coming to our room the prior day and before we left for the day I went to the front desk and specifically asked for fresh towels and for the trash to be emptied. It was before 11 and I had removed the Privacy Please sign from the door. The woman at the desk wrote down my room number and specifically mentioned that housekeeping hadn't gotten to my room yet that day so they would have cleaned it anyway even if I hadn't asked. We came home after a long day and....nothing had been done. I went to the front desk and Joseph was very kind and came up to our room with fresh towels and put the trash out in the hallway. Upon check out, I thought I would mention the situation to the manager on duty. To be clear, I was just giving feedback. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything. He got super defensive and kept saying you left the Privacy Please sign on your door and that's why this happened yesterday. I kept telling him I was not talking about the prior day but something that happened a few days ago. He just would not listen. At the end of the day, things happen and people make mistakes. It's how it is handled and whether a business tries to do better that counts. All the manager at checkout needed to say was thanks for the feedback and I'll pass it on. Based upon my interaction with this man, I do not believe he should be in a customer facing position. The hotel was not particularly busy when I was there but perhaps he is burned out, because he was the rudest hotel employee I've dealt with in my many years on earth.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The window shades had the dark "black out" curtain as well. This was especially welcome promoting a deep & restful sleep. The pool was a welcome respite, as was the jacuzzi. Perhaps it's just 2026 where nothing is cheap, but I struggle trying to understand how a roadside hotel is now $150/night, but here we are. My wife is disabled and travels with a small service dog who is always vested, carries an ID card, and is registered and certified; this was noted in our online booking. This was our first stay at any B&B of *any* size; in the past two years we've spent 36 nights at hotels both independent and branded. The room we stayed in, the Moose Room, is very well-equipped with exquisite attention to detail. The bed was pleasure to sleep in and had the most comfortable sheets we've ever encountered in a hotel room. A two-person Kohler whirlpool tub is in the main room. We were astounded at how quickly the tub filled and we were never short of hot water. The shower has a very inexpensive nozzle on it; a removable or rainfall style showerhead would be more befitting the quality of the rest of the room. I can say that Tausheck's is an extremely high quality facility with extreme attention to detail and very comfortable rooms. The Tausheck's should be commended for the quality of the B&B. Unfortunately, I can't say we will be back since we now know that this isn't the type of place for us given our unique situation, which probably doesn't apply to you. If you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway in the "greater Sheboygan" area, I'd highly recommend Tausheck's and think you'd have a great time there. --postscript-- My previous review (which I edited and have subsequently raised the rating to three stars) dealt with some exchanges with the innkeepers specific to accommodating my spouse's service dog. Given that this was the first time that the innkeepers dealt with a service dog in their 12 years of existence, they did accommodate us the best they could with the knowledge they had at the time. We learned after our stay that inns of this size are exempt from the Americans with Disabilities Act as there are 5 or fewer rooms - see 28 C.F.R. § 36.104. This wasn't known to us, or the innkeepers at the time of our stay, so it's unfair for me to dive into the specifics. That being said, I hope that the B&B's web site is revised to reflect this so that any other guests having a similar situation to ours are aware in advance and can make the appropriate decision.

This one was not, it was just ick. 1st the bathrooms are freezing it's awful in there. Also the tub was so slippery it felt like someone put baby oil in it, I almost fell. But the noises were the worse!!! The heater in the bathroom was so loud you couldn't hear the tv or yourself think for that matter and the pool had the most uncomfortable high pitched whistle. I assume the ear deafening shrill was coming from the lattice on the cold air return. ( ever hear of a grate... they make them) It definitely felt like a horror movie.

At all. The room itself was ok. No tissues, no phone, one single deadbolt lock. The worst was the layout of the step-in shower. In a bold move the designers thought it was a good idea to have just one side of the shower door open so when you turn on the water you can't help but get soaked. Even if you hold the detachable shower head you have to let it go at some point so you can get out and let the water warm up. When you do, it flies around like a garden hose. I got soaked. Ridiculous. I checked out a day early. I was out of patience. Even at $120/night. I'll pass next time.

I came with ear plugs and a sleeping mask so it worked out for me. The furniture is a bit sparse all around, but still a nice inn and place to stay. The parking is free and there is plenty around the building and it was nice to be close by a coffee shop. The inn provides a lot of food recommendations and things to do nearby. If I had time I would have checked out the Horicon marsh to go birding.
