One of the best iced Americans I've ever had. So happy they were open on our drive through Grand Junction. Definitely worth the stop. The chocolate chip cookies were also fantastic and gooey. They had a few breakfast burrito options as well as baked goods. We ordered at the outdoor takeout window and then there were plenty of nice picnic tables outside and the bathroom was open inside. It's a fairly small location so there isn't a ton of indoor seating. They have counter seating that looks outside. Overall this is probably my favorite coffee shop in the Grand Junction/Fruita area. Best coffee shop/breakfast spot in Fruita. We stopped in for a coffee or lemonade and were happy to see that they had a vegan breakfast burrito on the menu. It was a well thought out combo of flavors and textures (not just a wrap of onions, peppers, and wobbly tofu). The service was great as well. Good Gawd what an awesome good find!! Traveling yesterday thru both Vegas and taking 3 attempts to get coffee only to end up at a Starbucks for road have was quite peeving. I'm tickled to not only find an open local coffee shop to start the day before heading back on the road but it was FABULOUS COFFEE and cool hipster ambience that I love in a good local coffee shop. My daughter iced Turkish coffee just about made me change my order but I figured -hey! I can have t all by sipping on hers when she isn't looking. I started with ordering a small mocha with adding Lavender syrup to it. I very specifically expressed my desire to taste the coffee and not too sweet. They nailed it! I wished I had ordered a tall one! I also ordered my usual for the road- 6 shots espresso with a splash of heavy cream. I figured why not?! I would love to claim I have some incredible palate....but I just don't. However, even I can recognize that this is the least bitter coffee I have ever tasted. Not even a hint of the bitterness. It is just so smooth. I've tried a cold brew and the nitro, an Americano and a black coffee. These were great quality. Nice atmosphere. It is very laid back and relaxed, although I would feel terrible bringing my child here if I planned to stay at all. But it is a lovely place to hang out and chat. read more

First, I have to say I fell in love with the atmosphere. There are multiple places to sit (a room that is made for laptop workers; inside seating so you can watch the barista, outside seating, so you can enjoy being under the trees; and a spot halfway in between!). I felt instant serenity. Usually, I test a new coffee spot by getting my standby - a single shot 12 ounce whole milk latte. I do love that drink, but even though they offer it here, it felt against the grain somehow. They take such pride in the coffee varieties and brewing methods - I wanted to try something they specialized in. I had a nitro cold brew. Wow, never had such a smooth iced coffee. No need for milk or sugar or syrup or flavorings here. Just a refreshing pick me up (we had just been on a mountain bike ride and I needed a pick me up!!). Husband had a Sumatra pour over - brewed in a Kalita cone. It was the kind of coffee I pray for after a large dinner. But - it was great for morning too. I don't know that I would have tasted a difference with a different brewing method - but fun to be asked. We tried a cinnamon bun muffin, made by a local baker. It was tasty and appropriately crumbly. I thought it was a perfect accompaniment to a nice strong coffee. Service - friendly and low key. Just as the whole place is. It feels like home (if you have a nice home!) So, do I recommend this place - HECK YEAH! It is not a breakfast place, it is a coffee place. This place was incredible. Really friendly and accommodating staff who were patient and helpful. We got the breakfast Stromboli which was so good full of hearty veggies and the mushroom and spinach breakfast burrito which was HUGE but tasty (definitely spring for the house made salsa it was great). I also got a lemon and lavender scone, which I definitely didn't need because the portions were great, but I'm glad I got it because it was packed with flavor and was really well baked. The coffee is brewed well and the whole place smells so good from all the roasting and grinding going on. They also don't have iced tea listed on the menu but on a 95 degree day it was the perfect cool drink and they were happy to make it. They serve their food in real glasses if you're eating in and have real silverware that they wash to be environmentally conscience which I loved. Overall the whole vibe here was great and I wish we had places like this back home. read more

I saw BestSlope on Yelp and we decided to go based off of the reviews and photos. And let me tell you, everything about this coffee shop is impeccable. A cute little house with great outdoor seating and hipster vibes, it's what the ideal coffee shop would be in all capacities. Their coffee and food was so delicious that we had to go back the next day. I got an oat milk latte both days, and hubs got a pour over and oat milk cappuccino. It is really hard to find a coffee place that does everything well and we're just sad at the fact that we live 4 hours away. We were headed to Lake Powell for the weekend. N the RV. Things not going great but nothing terrible. We decided to stay in Junction over night and could not find a good cup off coffee anywhere. I need my coffee!! I find this place in Fruita and it epitomizes the 'Fruita Feel'. I hope I didn't just start an annoying hash tag.... The guys were great! I asked for just a little bit of vanilla in my latte and he explained (I didn't get his name so l just call him mustache guy. Lovingly :) ) that they make all of their own syrups from scratch and they don't taste too sweet or chemically. Win win for me. As someone trying to cut out excess sugar, finding ways to still enjoy my cup of coffee has been a challenge. I told him to make it there way he makes it and it is AWESOME!! They roast they're own beans right there. They've converted an old house into their shop AND they make all of their food and pastries fresh. Apparently we had just missed the fresh quiche. Damn.
