To All of You, Do not fall in this Trap!! I usually don't write bad reviews on any businesses or places I have tried. But for this one (Bethany at Bethany Health), I just got very frustrated. I bought the coupon on Groupon.com for 48% off as promotion,. After I bought it, I emailed them on July 2 to book an appointment, and then they told me that the earliest appointment is Saturday August 15, at 10:30am. So, I confirmed it. The requirement was in order to make an appointment, you also need to provide the coupon code from Groupon.com that you bought. Then today, July 10, I got an email that the appointment got cancelled and needed to reschedule and provided no reason, until I called them. I then called them to ask for a reason for cancellation, and the reception told me that it was due to Bethany has a conflict for that time and date. What really got me so frustrated is that 2 weeks ago, when I booked this appointment, I wasn't told that she will have or has any conflicts at all. Why is it 2 weeks later, it turned out to be that she has conflict with this appointment? My guess is that one of her regular customers (the non-Groupon.com customer who pays regular prices) called up and needed to schedule an appointment and can only make it at that time. Then the receptionist told me that the available dates during that week are all in weekdays. Com'on, if you look at the business hours, she closes at 7pm on the days that she opens, and also look at the # of days she opens during weekdays. Seriously, I believe that the reason that she posted on Groupon.com is because she wants to get more business. If not, then why posted for people to buy at discounted rate and to try out? But then posted and people bought the coupon, but not honoring them with a confirmed appointment that won't get cancelled for no reasons. That also explains for why she requires us to provide the coupon code on the coupon voucher that we bought from Groupon.com. Basically, the customers bought the discounted coupons from Groupon.com are last on her list to get an appointment. Isn't this a scam? If it is not, I am not sure what it is called...!!! read more

I have been seeing Bethany for massages for over 2 years for my chronic back and neck pain and she is the best. I leave feeling great and can't go more than a month without another massage. She is thoughtful and kind and genuinely interested in her clients. She adds a personal touch and looks for ways to help you even outside the wellness center. For example she referred me for a standing sitting desk at work (which is mostly sitting) and this has made a world of a difference. I always look forward to my next visit. I just had an amazing massage with Sarah. I went in because of a pulled muscle but received much more than having just that muscle worked out. I had never had a true deep tissue massage and am so happy with the results. Now that all of the tension has been released out if my neck and back it seems amazing to me how much I was holding in there! Sarah not only got me moving down a good path but provided great suggestions and encouragement to keep me going towards better fitness to prevent injuries in the future. This is such a scam. I purchased a Groupon for this company as a gift for my friend. Her Groupon expires on 7/19/16. When calling for an appointment she was told that She could not get an appointment until the Fall, negating the Groupon. I noticed that the owner was out on maternity leave, and I understand that, but why offer a Groupon when you know far in advance that you will not be able to provide services during that time period. I will report this to the Atty. General, Martha Coakley, local media and to Groupon. This is not poor service, this is FRAUD!!! read more

Unfortunately my experience was poor and I feel customer service is lacking. I was talked into getting a package because the treatment would be "best if repeated". My first massage, I was injured and had pain to my shoulder radiating to my arm- they told me I could not get my money back for the rest of the massages I had purchased because it was purchased with the business, not the massage therapist herself who has since left the business (two days later). I asked if I could wait until my injury was better. When I contacted them after recovery when I was ready to give the business a second chance they told me they remembered my situation and my massage package had expired and I could purchase a new massage if I would like. I felt duped and frustrated. I have learned never to buy a package... and I don't trust them for a massage anymore either. updating in regard tot he response, this was purchased for my birthday not due to an accident, and I cannot claim an injury I would like to correct that but it was very sore after the massage for months. I was just hoping for my money back. Not to mention the woman who I bought the massage with quit the day after. I was trying to do something good for myself during a hard time, and just ended up losing money. I don't remember any notification that this would expire, and it seems others have had this issue as well. I am sorry I didn't get to experience one of the great massage therapists who appear very skilled and kind, but wish my money weren't wasted when I had already lost so much. I am sure you all have good intentions but I would caution others to get instructions in writing about how and when to use gift cards prior to purchasing, or else go somewhere else that is more reliable. read more

For years and years I would just get massages at random, when it felt like I wanted one, or when the groupon was the right price. I found Bethany with a groupon and I am hooked. I don't need to try random places or groupons anymore, I found what I need and there is literally no need to try anything else. She is super nice, puts you at ease right away. I've been pretty used to getting massages where the masseuse will throw some oil on my back and rub it around for an hour. It'll feel pretty good but nothing is accomplished. My massage from Bethany was nothing like that. She honed in on my most abused areas and worked out the knots. I felt very comfortable with her and was able to mention if I wanted her to adjust the pressure. I was sore afterwards, as promised, and now, two days post, feel amazing. The place is clean, fresh, and relaxing. Bethany is friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. She's passionate about the mind-body connection and it comes through in her work. I booked my next appointment before I left. No more bouncing around to wherever Groupon takes me; I've found a place where I'm looking forward to becoming a regular. read more

Deborah is a great massage therapist with a terrific feel, strong hands and very sensitive to my personal treatment needs. I would recommend her highly and dealing with Heather who handles appointments made things easy. I had not seen any reviews of Deborah and could not find a convenient time for my schedule with Bethany, so I decided to schedule with Deborah, and that was a great decision. She is warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable immediately. They seem very busy and I know why! Just finished my 60min massage with Sarah. It was absolutely incredible. I have never had a massage quite like this. I am a personal trainer who lifts weights and runs almost daily. I came to Bethany to try once again to relieve some of the tension that has been building up in my shoulders and neck area, mainly from the effects of TMJ. I purchased a Yelp deal for my husband last year and he enjoyed it very much (sorry just posting a review now). He has never had a professional massage before and occasionally gets severe sciata pain in his leg so the deep tissue massage he got from Bethany helped a little. Bethany responded quickly and professionally when I set up the appointment for him and had Sunday appointments which was a huge plus. Bethany is top notch. She took a lot of time to thoroughly discuss my medical information and needs, to explain what she was doing, and to advise me on stretches and remedies. Additionally, she exceeded the 60 minute massage . Her deep tissue techniques were excellent. Unlike a previous poster, I had no trouble scheduling my Groupon massage. A week before the message I was contacted to ask if I would prefer to come in earlier. I declined and it was graciously acknowledged. Like some others, I originally had a little trouble getting an appointment but Bethany worked with me to figure something out. I'm glad we did because the massage was fantastic! Deborah is the first therapist that didn't cause me to have ticklish feet. She was attentive to the problem areas while not ignoring the relaxation and rest of the body. She reached muscles I'd never worked on previously with any other therapist. I bought a group-on and the massage so good I went back the next month for another. I was a little worried because I had tremendous neck pain before I arrived and was scheduled for a C5/C6 fusion on Oct 18th. Bethany asked if she could work the scalene muscles around it and I agreed. They were unbelievably tight and by the next day the pain was almost gone. I was ecstatic and got in to see my surgeon and surgery is postponed!!! I just had another massage (neck still feels great) and two more scheduled. I recommend her! read more

Bethany is absolutely amazing! I was looking for someone who does labor inducing massage and was so impressed by the reviews people had written about Bethany. I had the feeling that I had found the right person. Sure enough, I was right! I went to Bethany the day before my due date in the afternoon. She had explained all the options available to me for inducing labor via phone and email. She tailored the massage to do just what I was comfortable with. It was very relaxing and put me in a great state of mind. By 8:12 the next morning I was having contractions and at 3:09 pm my beautiful daughter was born after a relatively easy delivery (and she was 8 pounds 15 ounces!). I returned to Bethany almost two weeks later for a post-natal massage which was also phenomenal. It was the perfect combination of working out the areas of tension and total relaxation.
