I'd heard it can stretch all the way outside. I got a chicken salad on an everything bagel, and my friend got smoked salmon on an everything bagel. I loved mine, it was so good. I had to stop by Bethesda Bagels since it's been a while plus I realized I never left a review. It's a small shop filled with sweetness and a way to start your morning. Very organized and clean! EGG, CHEESE & AVOCADO ON A TOASTED ROLL This was super filling and made exactly the way I like it. This is my go to or same thing but on an everything bagel. The only thing I would change is either extra toasted or the roll scooped up eliminate so much bread. I love how fresh the ingredients are just made perfect. SN: I can't wait until it gets colder because I LOVE their hot cocoa (this the ONLY location that sells it). Which is house made with amazing cocoa and topped with creamy whipped cream. I can't believe that I haven't reviewed Bethesda Bagels yet. I've been coming here for years - the best bagels in town! For breakfast, if I'm not getting a dozen for the family, I usually get a egg sandwich on a toasted everything bagel with lettuce, tomato, and sprouts. The bagel is always freshly baked/boiled, slightly crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The egg is done well, and the veggies are always fresh, crisp and bright. Be warned - I don't think I've ever been to Bethesda Bagels when there hasn't been a long line. On the one hand, that's how good this place is, on the other hand, it's never a walk-in, walk-out situation. But it's worth it. Did I say these were the best bagels in town? A pretty nice bang for your buck. I stopped by Bethesda Bagels, because I was having an INTENSE craving for a bacon, egg, and cheese (BEC) everything bagel sandwich. Boy, Bethesda Bagels did not disappoint. I was quite surprised (in a good way) that my bagel was jammed packed with eggs and bacon. It might have been the biggest BEC sandwich that I've ever consumed. The service at Bethesda Bagels was on point. I was quite impressed with the way the staff handled the morning breakfast rush, especially with all of the special, over the top request from other customers. The spot is a bit small, and it can get a little confusing knowing who ordered and who are waiting. That said, you might have to be a bit vocal and ask folks if they are in line to order or waiting for food. Unfortunately, I did not see any dine-in options, but fortunately, a neighboring coffee spot let me enjoy my BEC everything bagel and Diet Coke in its outdoor dining/drinking area. Gentleman who took my order was efficient and friendly. Ordered Asiago for the SO, glazed donut (I've been CRAVING KRISPY KREME) and nova with all the trimmings on a pumpernickel bagel scooped out. Can't speak on the Asiago because SO hasn't eaten it at the time of posting. Pumpernickel was a little hard on the bottom but fixings were tasty and fresh. Glazed donut, it did not hit the spot, a little dry and not the light texture as KK. Would I return, probably because the nova and other fixings were fresh and plentiful. I ordered online ahead of time two excellent Nova Lox specialty bagels with all the veggies and opted for extra spread. They were both huge bagels, about half the size of my face, and it came out to $21. I have been here before. Their weekends are always crowded, up to a 15-minute wait after you order, and there is no place to sit down inside or out. However, the amount of food is large and very good quality. I recommend ordering online ahead of time and skipping the wait, and also have a plan of where you want to enjoy your bagel - at home, in your car, at nearby Cabin John Regional Park - and you will be happy. read more

This is an asiago bagel with fried egg, bacon, and cheddar cheese and I added capers. The sandwich was huge. The bagel itself had a good toast on it but was still soft and you could tell how fresh it was. Bacon was amazingly crispy. The egg was fried perfectly. The only thing I think I'd do differently is add a sauce of some sort or opt for cream cheese instead of cheddar because it was a tad dry. I wish their hours extended beyond 3pm, at least on the weekend. I love this it bagels so much more than Einstein's which is just a mile away. I can't make it here by 3:00 on a workday. Their bagel are $1.75 each which is $0.25 cheaper than the aforementioned bagel place. The only break you get in price is when you order a dozen, you get a baker's dozen, hence one free. So if you order in quantity, you'll get a better deal. I got my favorite, salt bagel just before closing. I would have bought all four that were left if the guy offered me a discount. Oh well... it was deliciously crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Still fresh at 2:50 pm. I just wish there was more bacon on my sandwich because there was a hearty helping of eggs lol. Bethesda Bagels is my favorite bagel spot in the entire DMV. The location at Wildwood is my go-to. My favorite breakfast sandwich is a scooped, toasted garlic bagel, with sausage, egg whites, cheddar cheese, and sriracha. SO GOOD! During peak times, the line can look a little daunting, but it actually moves pretty fast. There's always quite a bit of employees working, so I'm usually not waiting too long for my hot items. If I can, I'll order ahead so that my order is ready and waiting for me on the shelf. The bagels are dense and doughy, but not hard. The cost for each is the same, unless you get a baker's dozen. I love their tubs of cream cheeses! So many options to choose from. Personal faves are the chive and veggie! The vegan tofu is really good too! My go-to bagels (everywhere else) are usually an Everything or Jalapeno Cheddar. Unfortunately at BB, these items are no bueno. The ET is too salty and the cheese bagels don't have the baked cheese on top. I guess the cheese is rolled in the dough, but that's not my preference. Came in and got a breakfast sandwich on e late morning. I was surprised it was so busy for a week day. I got a jalapeño and cheddar bagel that could of done with more cheddar in it. The jalapeño came they but I completely missed cheddar in the bagel itself. I got egg white and chador cheese on it. The egg white was very greasy. But there was a lot of it. The cheese was ok. The bagel was a good texture of chewy and soft but some crisp from toasting it. The bagel was large. I also got a hot tea which was fine. $8 for those items. My constructive criticism is it was very disorganized. There are spots on the floor for social distancing and a superset line for pick up. Not many ppl followed either guideline and staff did not attempt to enforce those rules. The coffee/tea section was out for everyone which seems like a bad idea considering we are in the midst of a pandemic. There was also spills and sugar on the counter so not sure how often that area is cleaned. Just makes me concerned about their other cleanliness habits. Also, I tried their sundried tomato bagel with plain cream cheese - also heavenly! This is a really nice bagel place! You can tell it's popular because people start lining up even before they open at 6:30am, and the staff seem very friendly. It's easy to park in the large lot and walk up, and they even have a Starbucks and Joe and the Juice nearby for coffee/tea. They have plenty of options, but I just got the bagel and cream cheese, which ran me about $5. I'm only disappointed that they got my order wrong - they gave me an egg bagel instead of Asiago, but it's still pretty great. I got it with sundried tomato cream cheese, which is super flavorful, and i like that they don't skimp on the cream cheese. The egg bagel is really good, but definitely needs the cream cheese. I am a huge fan of the downtown Bethesda bagel shop. So, I was very excited that this Wildwood Shopping Center location was opening closer to me. I went in and ordered a dozen bagels, whitefish salad, and vegetable cream cheese. Now, don't get me wrong, the bagels are good. But, I was charged $16.00 for a dozen bagels, there were no specialty bagels, just regular bagels. That is way too much money to pay for a dozen bagels that don't blow your socks off. I did really enjoy the vegetable cream cheese. It was creamy and had lots of veggies in the spread. The whitefish salad on the other hand was bland, it did not taste like smoked fish, and was dry. So, I had high hopes, but they were not fulfilled. I hope that this location makes some changes or I am heading back to downtown Bethesda. read more

My friends have been raving about this place, so I thought I would check it out for myself. The store itself is fairly small, but the line was coming out the door! Nonetheless, the queue moved pretty fast as we ordered from the cashier and waited for our to go food since there was no sit down room here. I ordered just a classic sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel. WOW! The bagel was so fluffy and soft- hands down one of the best bagels I have eaten. My friends got savory lunchtime sandwiches and they looked just as incredible. When I ripped the bagel in half, the string of cheese oozed in between and made my heart palpitate I was so excited to eat it! When I was checking out, I noticed they had a couple jumbo size donuts. I asked the cashier how much they were are they were ONLY $4! So I had to get one. Best donut ever I am ashamed to say that I ate the entire thing without regret. I was so stuffed but I was fine with it because the food was top notch. From the fast service to the super delicious food, I have nothing much to complain about!
