More Autumnal Treats...Honey Apple Cake! Tatte Bakery now serving "Honey Apple Cake." I ordered it this week-look so delicious on display. The "Honey Apple Cake" slice-looks small-it's dense. Think "apple crumb cake." Thinly sliced apples flavored with/cinnamon, rich brown sugar crumb sandwiched between a tender flaky top crust studded w/sliced almonds & a thin flaky bottom crust. Prompt friendly customer service. See Photo.

Positive experience with lovely staff. The place is open and airy, plenty of seating. It wasn't busy. I got the fig soda and the linzer cookie. The soda was incredibly delicious. The cookie was extra sweet, a little too sweet for my taste, but still good.

Oh, if I could count the times I've been to Tatte, it'd read like a love story. I love you for your pastries--chocolate, pistachio, rich little flavor bombs. I love you not... when I promise myself I'll just get coffee. (I never do.) Your coffee? Toasty when warm, silky when iced. Even your chocolate chip cookies break like poetry--soft, melty, perfect. Each bite is a moment I want to stretch out forever. This location? One of the cleanest. But every Tatte I've stepped into in the DMV feels like a French bakery locked in time--white tiles, morning smells, quiet elegance. It's my guilty pleasure, especially since no one in my family bakes. Whether I'm taking a stroll with friends or rushing to work, you're always the right stop. So yes, I love you, Tatte. OK, I said it.

Tatte Bakery & Café - Worth the Hype? I stopped by Tatte for a casual bite and left officially obsessed. I ordered their smoked salmon breakfast sandwich on a housemade bun, layered with creamy scrambled eggs, capers, pickled onions, fresh sprouts, and a tangy aioli. The textures and flavors were chef's kiss -- savory, balanced, and satisfying without being heavy. Paired it with an iced matcha latte that was smooth, earthy, and just the right amount of sweet. The vibe? Bright, airy, and chic. Perfect spot for catching up with a friend or zoning into work with a solid playlist and great food. Rating: 9/10 Location: Tatte Bakery & Café Must-try: Salmon sandwich + iced matcha latte Would I go back? Absolutely. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20-30

    Sad Short rib sandwich

I work close to this location and frequently get take out here just out of convenience. The food is a hit or miss depending on the day and what I order. Most recently it looks like someone may have dropped part my short rib sandwich in water before wrapping it up. Was quite disappointed upon unwrapping and seeing the soggy, inedible portions of the bread. Other times after ordering a turkey blt, I have also found the bread so unappealing and soggy with the amount of excess sauce/dressing they apply in the sandwich. I typically pick up and eat within minutes of the order being placed since it's so close to my work. On other occasions, the quality has been great but the lack of consistency in what I may end up getting is why it's a 3 star establishment at best.

This was my first time visiting a Tatte bakery. A friend and I came here to catch up, and we were both positively overwhelmed with the many options for baked goods and drinks. It took me quite a while to make a decision, but I ordered a chicken pita, nutella cookie sandwich, cheesecake, and an iced chai latte. Everything tasted amazing, and I was most definitely happy with my choice.

Multigrain loaf is absolutely delicious, outside is perfectly crisp while inside of bread is so soft and delightful. There's a variety of seeds as well, and they are toasted to perfection. Pear tart was very lovely, half of a Bosch pear inside, a bit sweet for a dessert. The Kouign-amann is akin to a brioche, with a ton of sugar on the bottom, very flaky and nice texture. Black sesame latte had a ton of sesame! Just make to stir before trying. For a pickup order, I was late due to the snow on the road, so the manager actually remade my coffee for me. Warning about parking in front of the bakery, very tough to find spots! Do not park in front of the shop, or you will get a ticket.

My first visit to a Tatte location. I've been intrigued by their wide windows and perfectly posed pastries. There is a nice array of pastries and breakfast sandwiches. I got a slice of the lemon poppy loaf and halloumi sandwich. I expect the sandwich to have more halloumi. I'm a cheese fan so that would have elevated the taste. The poppy loaf tasted great in the restaurant but stale as the same day leftovers. The location was clean and service was good. The cashiers were quick to move the lines alone.

Aesthetically pleasing bakery like cafe! Wide selection of pastries to choose from with menu options as well! Was pretty busy the few times I've been here. I always end up ordering at least 3 things just to try everything out!

The interior is very nice but unfortunately I didn't think the food was particularly good. The best item was the Lamb Hash, which was pretty decent, but the Turkey sandwhich was just ok and the museli and raspberry cheesecake were bad. The house latte and chai latte were both worse than the food - if stopping by I'd recommend skipping the drinks here.

This is a order at counter coffee shop and french bakery with a expanded menu. The selection is Paris worthy. The service is order at counter, take a number type. Nice people. We ordered breakfast and it took about 12 minutes to get the order. not bad. It's a lovely white tile interior. All hard service. Clean. Does not come off as a place one could linger for hours at but nice. It was $17.50 PP with full breakfasts and espresso drinks. Good Value Now, the thing that sets is apart is the food which is artfully prepared and delicious.

Great place for a quick stop and go or for a brunch. There are a lot of open spots indoors and outdoors. The quality of the food, pastries and drinks are all very good. Aesthetic and modern look. Came here with a friend and ordered two cortados. Little spill of the cortado when being served. Service is a hit or miss.

Items charged but not checked off and so never delivered. REPEAT ISSUE with this specific Tatte location.

I love Tatte (despite the prices). But I've ordered UberEats from this specific location (Bethesda) multiple times and 50% of the time THEY COMPLETELY MISS ITEMS. These are not complicated orders ... but the items are simply not there. It is so frustrating. Each time it happens I swear I'm not going to order again and then several weeks/months later I'm busy at work so succumb to the temptation again only to be irritated AGAIN at getting an incomplete order despite being charged a ridiculous amount. This time the receipt itself SHOWED only two out of seven items "checked" off. The other five unchecked items were the ones missing. To add yet more insult to injury, the lid on the soup was loose so there was soup all over the bottom of the bag it was in as well as the container. I am so annoyed at this point that I probably shouldn't be posting this review angry but this has been a repeated issue with this specific location and I don't know where else to give folks a head's up on what appears to be a complete disregard for proper care and food handling or quality control for delivery orders. Honestly, Tatte Bethesda, what the heck.

I've been to this location three times. Each time, I've interacted with different team members. The personalities and friendliness of the team there is top notch. I've had some good laughs and conversations with them. The location is always clean, the service is fast, and the sandwiches are tasty! My go to, you ask!??.... "The Wreck!" Make no mistake about it. Thank me later! The sandwich is beastly good!! Loaded with just about every meat and topping, they have to offer. I've been coming here for years, and it's always a dependable, tasty stop when the hunger pangs strike. My go-to is The Wreck -- loaded up and, of course, with extra hot peppers. It's not just a sandwich; it's a life experience. Every bite feels like it's giving my taste buds a standing ovation... and my sinuses a pep talk. I also love their chili -- hearty, comforting, and exactly what you want on a chilly day (pun absolutely intended). One of my favorite things is the mix-and-match approach here. Half a sandwich, half a salad, whatever combination makes your stomach sing -- they make it happen. I'm partial to a sandwich-and-soup or sandwich-and-chili combo, but honestly, they could hand me a sandwich and a pickle and I'd still be grinning. The Pick-Your-Pair deal is my secret weapon for avoiding food FOMO. I get a little bit of everything without having to choose -- because why should lunch be a time for difficult decisions? I will say, I do miss the days when the rewards program felt, well, more rewarding. You know, something that made loyal customers feel like VIPs instead of "Very Intermittently Pleased." But that's a small gripe compared to all the deliciousness they serve up. A few Potbelly-themed jokes for flavor: Why did The Wreck go to therapy? It had too many layers of emotion. What's Potbelly's favorite band? Bread Zeppelin. My doctor told me to eat more greens... so now I get extra lettuce on my Wreck. Problem solved. Whether I'm craving a sandwich that could make a grown man weep, a bowl of chili that hugs your soul, or a meal combo that lets me have my lunch and eat it too -- this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!

She's funny, attentive, and gives honest food recommendations if you're undecided on the menu. She's also incredibly talented -- we watched her balance six cups of coffee to another table without using a tray! On our first visit, a Saturday morning, we ordered the blueberry pancakes (I love when the blueberries are cooked into the pancakes instead of just sprinkled on top), scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, turkey bacon, potatoes with onions, and coffee. Everything was affordable and delicious, so much so that we came back two days later. On our second visit, a Monday, we asked to be seated in April's section! She actually remembered us because we shared the potatoes the first time and she even asked if we wanted to share them again (yes, please... and she brought two small plates!). This time we had scrambled eggs, potatoes with onions, turkey sausage, turkey bacon, toast, and a biscuit. We even dropped some quarters into the tabletop jukebox for the full diner experience. I'd definitely visit again and have already recommended it to relatives who live in the area!
